The steampunk version of Batman really enjoyable, with characters like Ivy, The Robins, Gordan, and Selina, showing up in a victorian era setting. this is a great movie with great voice acting and a great plot

Gotham by Gaslight is the first Esleworld story by DC and the first time one of these stories has been give an animated feature. The story is simple, Batman vs a Jack The Ripper type killer in Victorian Era Gotham.

This was a complete blind buy for me as it was a batman movie but this is a complete re imagining I did not expect. I 'enjoyed it for its uniqueness. The animation was acceptable but nothing aw inspiring

I mainly bought this for the Best Buy exclusive book. I’m a huge Batman fan and collector. The movie was a disappointment. But A+ to Best Buy for the cool exclusive

A awesome adaptation of the graphic novel. Love the "R" rating. This movie is definitely geared to the mature audience. D/C makes the best animated movies. Only if they did the same for their live action movies!

Batman, in any era, is still BATMAN! Love the toys that Bruce Wayne has available to him, especially the steam powered motorcycle. Good story and as always Batman wins and yes gets the girl.

With having the world's greatest detective track down Jack the ripper along with other classic enemies makes for quite the entertaining story and film that will entertain kids and adults.

I got this with minimal expectations and was pleasently surprised by the good quality animation and good integration of an old story with Batman's. A bit predictable, but I still liked it.

I really like what’s DC is doing with these animated movies. It’s more mature but also more engaging. I never figured out the villain until he was revealed and even then I was a bit in shock about it.

Sorry for the headline. I had to. This is an elseworlds movie so it never really happened. But it IS based on a graphic novel. It’s a good concept. I like the movie. It’s a very different Gotham than you are used to so if you aren’t familiar with elseworlds it may not be for you. My only complaint is that, like many of second tier animated titles, it’s rushed or done cheaply. There are scenes where the animation style is different or not of good quality. And it’s obvious. DC needs more quality control on these projects. But it’s atill a good flick.

If you’re a Batman fan at all this movie won’t disappoint you. A step in a new direction with the first elseworlds story, this one delivers from start to finish. Must have for any bat fan.

I really enjoyed BATMAN: GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT. The story of a low-tech Batman in a 19th Century setting was certainly different. I also enjoyed "actress" Selina Kyle. She was purr-fect!

Best Buy advertises this as coming with a digital code but conveniently leaves out the fact that Warner Bros. recently disabled codes for hundreds (thousands?) of titles. You can expect any WB movie that Best Buy advertises as “on sale” will have an unusable digital code inside.

Rather enjoyed this Batman re-imagining. Similar characters within a different time-frame. Overall the animation and ambiance created a some great entertainment.

DC is know for their great animated films and this is no exception. Losely following the Graphic novel by the same name, Batman hunts for The Ripper. The ending will blow you away!!!

If you read the original comic then you are in for a visual treat. If you didn’t there is a copy included. If you are a fan of BatMan.You will will love this latest animated movie.

The animation and story telling is absolutely stunning. I love Batman he is the most well rounded character in comic books. Great job!

I wasn't familiar with the comic but I really enjoyed this interpretation of the bat verse. Once again, this shows that you can place Batman in any universe and he'll work well.
