Enjoyed the movie liked the story line. Graphics could have been better

Very mature and well-crafted animated movie that paced the story elements at a good clip and never felt overdrawn or slow and ponderous, all the while keeping itself nicely as close as possible to the original source material. The inclusion of the original graphic novel with this edition of the movie was a very nice bonus!

I am a huge Batman fan. I am also very intrigued by the Jack the Ripper story. So needless to say I was excited when I heard about this film. I watched it and I loved how they included characters from the Batman Universe but was very disappointed when I figured out who Jack the Ripper was. Oh well still give it 4 stars

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a interesting twist on a batman story

a fine melding of fact and fiction. taking the batman mythos, the enduring jack the ripper mystery, and the 1892 chicago worlds fair/columbian expo [tranplanted to london] and a nod to the hindenburg disaster [much later]. the writers had fun mashing these somewhoat disparate elements into a cool yarn.

Probably should have rented this one. Not bad but not memorable.

This Batman Gotham movie is quite amazing, and Batman gets to meet Jack the Ripper and figure out his motivations. The characters are interesting along with the setting, and it is an excellent addition to the DC Original movies collection. Don't wait. Buy it now. You won't be disappointed!

I read a bunch of reviews first, which were kind of lukewarm, but it turned out I really loved this movie. It's a bit different than past animated Batman efforts, but I thought the story was unique, the voice acting solid and the animation fit the mood and character very well.

This movie is truly an amazing tale on the world of Batman. Set in a Victorian London style Gotham in the early 1800s, Batman desperately tries to stop Jack the Ripper. And to learn that it was based on a graphic novel by Mike Mignola (the creator of Hellboy), the was an extra treat.

As a fan of DCU I was getting this no matter what. However I really liked this movie. Taking the theme of batman and placing it in the past was a great twist. Never saw the ending coming but if you have young kids def remember its pg-13 cause it has tons of adult themes.

DC animated movies are usually superior to the big budget live action movies. This was a pretty cool movie. It was interesting to see the Batman characters in a different era. The story was good and had a great animation. Not the best animated DC movie by any means but I recommend it.

Gotham by Gaslight is a great alternate Batman adventure - a new twist on the supporting characters with some unexpected surprises. The background images are really great - although I did find the animation a little choppy. Frankly, I thought this would make a great live action Batman movie!

This is one of my favorite movies to watch. This is actually a really good movie that you will want to watch over and over. A lot of thrills, action and above all a mystery thriller. you won't go wrong if you are a Batman fan.

This is DC anime comics at its best I love these animated movies why can't they get the live action movies to look so good and tell a compelling story like the animated movies. These movies are good for comic nerds and non-comic nerds.

This is such an inventive and fresh take on both jack the ripper and batman. The animation and story telling is wonderful, the cameos of all of the batman characters is neat! I think you'd be able to share this with a non batman fan and they would enjoy it lol

Based on a graphic novel, this places Batman in Victorian Gotham. A sort of Jack The Ripper is killing women and Batman must stop it. If you are familiar with the graphic novel (I am not) you may be surprised by the change of who the murderer is. Well worth a look.

DC gets this one right. It is their first animated film in a while that I really think they did well. The writing was very good and it had a good ending.The Ripper was a more formidable opponent for Batman than I was expecting. Made for an enjoyable movie.

It was a good Batman movie but no the best. I didn't like too much that he didn't have the tech that he usually have because the movie is based in the past when there were no tech like the one that we have today.

I think this movie was great! Adapting the original comic was done really well in the look and feel of the movie, with enough twists and turns added to the story to make it feel fresh for those of us that have read the comic. Highly recommended!

This movie is based on the classic Elseworlds graphic novel. I probably last read it 25 or 30 years ago so I don't remember how faithful the movie is, but it stands on its own as an entertaining story.
