When people said this was bad, I didn't believe them. I figured, how bad could it be? It's just anime Batman.... Well how wrong was I. From the get go, the art style is extremely off putting. It feels like something that was done almost purposely just to say this isn't real anime. Second, the story/script, it's awful. It's pretty obvious the people who created this had no experience with Batman. It did no justice to the source material and the story was nonsense. While the steelbook is kinda neat, i'd suggest avoiding this stinker unless it's on clearance.

Waited until Black Friday to grab this. Can't wait to watch it.

For me this movie is great since I happen to love both Batman and anime.

Reviews online are pretty split on this film. I was a little concerned going into since I'm such a huge Batman fan and this take on the character and the setting is so different that what we've seen. I must say that I was very happy with this movie. It's so much fun and throughout the film it just continues to one-up itself. "Different" can indeed be a good thing sometimes as long as you keep in mind that this is just another take on Batman and not replacing our beloved Gotham crusader. What a thrilling ride from start to finish and such a fresh concept. The details to the character designs are hard to even describe. Feels like I could find something new in the costumes each time I watch it. One piece of advice, I stayed away from spoilers going into it and so should you to fully enjoy it. Truly awesome animation throughout and the final fight scene - WOW!
