The two best Batman movies of all time are Nolan’s the Dark Night (w/ Heath Ledger) and this one (w/ Michele Pfiefer). And those two actors are the reason these two films are at the top. This is Michele Pfiefer’s best performance - and she’s had quite a few. It’s a must see classic.

Now this is demo worthy! Plenty of 35mm films that were made around the same time have had a decent 4k upgrade, but this feature can really show how an upgrade can look when putting the right amount of work into it. This looked great. The snow and gotham city looked great. Cat woman was more stunning than ever. Beautiful disc here. I am very glad i decided to add this to the collection.

As with the original "Batman" Blu-Ray, this is definitely an example of how releases for franchise/superhero movies should be made. The movie looks near-perfect in this format, but you also learn a TON from the massive amount of special features. Rather than just rehashing bonus material from the last movie, this one becomes a new experience thanks to evolving information and the distinct personality of the film that sets it apart from its predecessor.

Not as good as the first movie

I thoroughly enjoyed the original Batman movie. However, I believe that this film gets bogged down in the development of the characters. Danny Deveto is excellent as the Penguin character. Michelle Piffer is good as Catwoman, although she could have showed more leg. The disc has great picture and sound quality, and is loaded with extras. In my opinion, there is no other Batman movies. I have never seen the other Batman movies, nor do I plan to see them. Michael Keaton originated the role. He should continue the role. How can another individual be Batman? That is like another individual becoming Doc Brown in Back to the future. Christophe Lloyd is Doc Brown. Micheal Keaton is Batman. At least that is one man's opinion.

    Batman Returns on Bluray

I saw Batman Returns on opening day back in 1992 (yeah I'm old) and it holds up great. The new Batman movies are good in their own right but for me Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer are Batman and Catwoman. Bluray really brings out the details and colors (which is tough since the Burton Batmans are dark.) I also have Batman on Bluray and both of these films are great additions to the library. Highly recommended!

Picture looked great. Audio was good as well. I found it a lot easier to make out the dialogue. I know the changed sound effects bother some people but it wasn't as big a deal to me.

I think that "Batman Returns" was one of the greatest Batman films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite Batman films of all-time. I also think that "Batman Returns" had a lot of enjoyable and entertaining action, mystery, suspense and drama including a really great and amazing cast and personal storylines as well.

First movie I remember seeing in theaters and from the big screen in SD to my home in HD is just spectacular. Michael Keaton as batman was good for the first two films, Danny Devito as the penguin was just awesome and Michele Pheifer as catwoman not bad of a choice. Still my favorite bat films.

I remember seeing this in the theater when it first came out just like the first one. It's hard to try to top the original or add to it with a sequel. The whole carnival circus theme along with the new villain penguin just made it to corny. Catwoman on the other hand was played beautifully by michelle pfeiffer.

This was the BEST movie for it's price- I USE to buy used Blu-rays- but you get what you pay for it- for instance; missing the other Blu-Ray disc or DVD disc when it's suppose to have 2 discs and all you Get is the feature disc or wrong one. That's why I buy from Best Buy- because basically that's what you get from Best Buy!! Thank You Best Buy!!

Powerhouse film. Definite deviations from the comics, but the dark tone is welcome. Keaton continues as Batman, and is just as awesome. Michelle Pfeiffer is astounding and gives an alluring portrayal of Catwoman. Devito's Penguin is different, but welcome and gross and intriguing. Classic Devito.

Director Tim Burton's second outing with Batman, 'Batman Returns' is a visual feast, wickedly atmospheric, and definitely entertaining. I almost prefer it to the original film. Probably because Paul Reubens makes a cameo. Blu-ray PQ/AQ are more than adequate. Extras are fun, especially the commentary...

When I saw Batman Returns on Blu-ray, I was so excited. I remember seeing the movie in the theater when I was a kid and loved that it had the Penguin, as well as REAL penguins! They were so cute. The movie was inexpensive and was as expected. It is great to be able to watch this again!

This was my first Batman film & apart from pure nostalgia, the movie still holds up. Tim Burton’s bizarre creativity works perfectly in this version of Batman universe, while the movie is silly in certain parts, it’s still very entertaining!

It may not have quite the mainstream success as its predecessor, but I'm in the camp that actually likes this more than the '89 movie. Burton is able to focus on his strengths even more, Catwoman is a fantastic addition and I just like the design of the Batsuit more this time around
