DVD doesn’t play, fairly new DVD player, purchased in last 3 months.

This Batman is my favorite and this 4k release has my Sony 55xbr900f looking amazing. I'm using the Sony ubp x800m2 as the player with the Sony HT ST5000 sound bar. So, the movie is playing in all its audio and visual glory. You can tell Warner Bros was trying to pull out all the stops with they cleaned up the picture and redid the audio. My only complaint is that some times the white on screen looked a little washed out at times. Other than that, the audio was great (as Prince usually does) and Jack's joker shines.

Love it. Definitely ahead of its time. Wish I could of seen it when it came out in theaters

I had purchased this movie for the digital copy i have on my ipod I purchased it on April 4th and got home and the Digital copy wouldn't work looking at it expired March 31st .. SO instead of returning it I write WB costumer support and they issued a new number that didn't work upon writing back I never got a respond email so I wrote them again and was told this " Hello, Thank you for your interest in the Digital Copy feature for Batman. Unfortunately this feature has officially been discontinued. We appreciate your interest in this feature and hope to provide many more like it in the months to come. Thanks again DIGITAL COPY SUPPORT" If it is a selling point for the Item they need to support it or remove it off the rack !!! I will never buy a WB Disc again

Bring back memories in later 80's one best movie ever.

Those who loved this movie and remember having it on VHS will be thrilled to see the crystal clear picture and improved sound on blu ray. Comparing different versions of the Batman franchise is kind of apples and oranges. The Adam West version was for all the children who loved the zany TV show. The latest Dark Knight versions are for the "grown ups" who want to see a creepier but more intense version. The Tim Burton movies kind of land in the middle of those two. This re-imagination brings new life to the Batman and Joker characters. Great movie. Even, dare I say, a classic.

Many will say that "The Dark Knight" was the best Batman film, but if you really dig deep at how the Batman character was portrayed in this film, you will find that this interpretation was much darker and more truer to the comic version of the caped crusader. Michael Keaton's performance as an odd, socially awkward Bruce Wayne, as well as a dark, hidden in the shadows with crazy eyes type of Batman makes this character seem believable and fathomable. Jack Nicholson as Joker was perfect and Tim Burton's vision was wonderfully captured in this true masterpiece. This movie changed Hollywoods perception of how financially successful comic book movies can become.

1989 Batman now comes in a beautifully Blu-Ray Diamond Luxe Edition Unlike its regular and/or steelbook case, this Diamond Luxe Edition is much better and heavier when I hold it. I bought it when it was released on December 9, 2014 as a Christmas gift, and I love it. It is one of my favorite Batman movies, and I am a Batman fan. I can now add the Blu-Ray Diamond Luxe Edition to my collection.

This new DVD edition should definitely replace your old Batman DVD or, God forbid, VHS tape. There are hours of bonus features included, mostly done in documentary format. All angles are covered on the 2nd disc. Beginning with the original Batman creator, Bob Kane, through the lengthy history of Batman, to the ultimate cinematic adaptation by Tim Burton, who also speaks at great length about the production of the film. This is very interesting material that a fan will truly appreciate. This movie spoke for itself at the box office. The combination of Tim Burton's vision and direction, impeccable casting and wonderful special effects took the movie world by storm and reached far beyond the silver screen. For a while there, you couldn't look anywhere without seeing the Batman logo. They did some job marketing this movie...

For a movie that's 20 years old I'm suprised how good this movie looks on BLU-Ray. Someone actually took time with it and made it awesome. The picture is co clear and crisp. You get to notice things you haven't noticed before. I'm a big fan of Batman 89 and even thought I saw the movie millions of times there's little things that are new 2 me. For best quality I suggest good 1080p TV and a really good (Monster) HDMI cable for $80+, that's if you want the best resolution.

Probably the best Batman ever! The video quality is superb for being filmed in 1989! Audio is great! The steelbook is really cool and would make a great addition to any collection! For 15$ this is definitely worth buying! Classic Tim burton movie! Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson make the movie over the top! Definitely buy the steelbook blu Ray!

The packaging is very nice. It is more like a documentary of the Batman character than of the 1989 movie, but it still works. The special features help provide perspective, and demonstrate the impact this film had on the genre by influencing Spiderman, Iron Man, G.I.Joe-The Rise of Cobra, and the Nolan/Bale Batman series.

I own this movie on VHS and I thought for a movie tht came out such a long time ago wouldn't look so great even on blu ray . But ! I was wrong the movie looks fantastic and i'm such a Batman fan tht I had to get this movie on disc . So yea if you got a Blu ray player and a fan of Batman this is a YES!!!!!!!!!!1
