    Good Animated Adaptation!

I was excited to learn that they'd be adapting this graphic novel to an animated rated r movie and couldn't wait to watch it. The killing joke is a pretty short graphic novel so I knew there'd be some filler until the actual story began. This is where I feel the movie suffers most. The first 30-40 minutes are completely unnecessary and don't offer much in way of creative story additions. I especially hate how Batgirl is portrayed in these early moments. Once the actual killing joke story line comes in, it's fantastic. Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy are perfect once again in voicing these iconic characters. Watching this story come to life on screen is awesome. Especially the haunting final moments.

Not as good as the graphic novel

Alan Moore's graphic novel, an intentional elseworlds offshoot not suposed to be cannon, became the defining Batgirl story of the 80's. It's good, but not as good as reading the story. The extra controversy adds to the character, but not to the story.

I love it, The Batman animated movies are always great. Especially when they have the original voice actors for the characters. (The Joker)The fact that this movie is rated R is a bonus. It can drive deeper down into the story instead of it being all about the cartoon. The Joker was truly great in this one, they displayed more of his back story and showed the fact that he is truly evil!

Best Buy exclusive figurine and comic included!

I had to get the Killing Joke as soon as it was released. The fact that a Best Buy exclusive Joker figurine and comic was included was just icing on the cake! That being said, the movie felt disjointed, with Batgirl relegated to some damsel in distress who couldn't keep it in her pants and just wanted to knock boots with Batman. The producers did her a disservice with her character.

This movie got kind of a bad rap because of the whole bat girl making love with Batman but in the comic books that actually happened she was pregnant and had a miscarriage so I don't really mind that the Killing Joke portion was pretty much dead on

Why aren't the live action movies this good

Like most other of the DC animated movies The Killing Joke is great. Then why only 4 stars? The graphic novel it comes with is not The Killing Joke. The movie itself is a 5 star but an extra $15 for a small toy and small print comic is too much.

$12.99 for the collectible version is a great deal! The movie is worth watching but isn't the greatest DC animated movie. The Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill) is really the best part of the movie, but he shows up halfway through the movie.

    Batgirl: S** and the City

As the Summary says, the first half is basically a Batgirl film. It has nothing to do with the title of he movie. The first 40 minutes it's all about Batgirl, and her relationship with Bats. Basically to get you more emotionally into the story and what you think Batman does at the end. Which is up to interpretation. The timeline is set in 2016 which makes Jokers origin more confusing because they kept it in the late 30s, early 40s? Which would make him and Batman really old in 2016. They should of just stuck with the timeline 100% from the comic. The first half is completely different than the second, making you feel like you're watching two different short movies

The Killing Joke was based off the graphic comic of the same name. Great quality for the price paid and the additional comic was helpful and enjoyable. Please make notice of the rating as this cartoon is for an adult audience NOT children.

Overall the movie does follow the graphic novel very well. But the beginning is a bit odd, as in it shouldn't exist, the first 30ish minutes or so aren't from the novel and it's just filler to make certain scenes more dramatic and intense.

Oh boy, now this is a great movie. Growing up I was used to Adam West's friendly Batman, and progressed into the slightly darker Batman the Animated Series. This is by far my favorite Batman movie, including Mask of the Phantasm. The Joker is the craziest and most psychotic I have ever seen him, pushing Batman to his limits. What a ride this movie was.

This flick was awesome! The first 20 minutes was new to flesh out the story a little more, which was interesting. The rest was spot on and terrific. Mark Hamill is the best Joker, hands down. A must own for comic collectors. Check it out!

For those of you who wonder why Batman is the way he is please watch this movie. I was hoping that the live action film would cover this story but the animated version is just as good. The voice actors are great and the picture is very well drawn. You are better off buying the DVD and Blu Ray than buying it in digital form. Best Buy had great price of this as well.

The digital was stolen and no one noticed. The Blu-Ray DVD was loose because the middle part broke. The movie itself is great, but just bummed about the lack of care.

I'm a fan of the D.C. animated movies, including this one. This batman movie is more adult oriented, so it's not meant for young children. Enjoyed Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprising their roles as Batman and the Joker respectively.

This is a graphic short story told in the 70s about the Joker's origins. It is twisted and probably the first instance in comics to show the psychological mayhem that plagues him. The video is taken directly from the story albeit the first 10 minutes focus on batgirl which is totally unnecessary but interesting non-the-less. It includes the book and a joker figurine.

DC animated normally does well bring comic to visual! The animation in this story is great even though the cartoon strays from the original story line. Mark hamil is great as the joker! Might be a little to mature for younger viewers!

It's been said before, but the batgirl storyline was a bit of a surprise. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the movie and recommend it for any batman fan. The cast was great as usual, with Mark Hamill reprising his role as the Joker.

Saw this movie on a limited engagement at AMC for fathom events the movie was amazing but I felt I wanted more so I decided to pick up the DVD for the extra features. Found this limited edition bluray and I lost my mind. I love joker merch. Graphic novel is a good read and the figurine sits on top of my PS4. Love this thank you Best Buy you always got great stuff.

This animated adaption was GREAT with the exception of adding a whole interpretation of Batgirl's backstory that was unneeded and actually devalues Barbara Gordon. Other than that, when the adaption actually happens, it's amazing!
