Too Critical
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some critics were way too hard on this movie. Was it great? No. However, it was not as bad as critics made it out to be. It is a relatively dark film so if you are looking for a good time, this is not it. However, if you don't mind the darkness and a super long movie that is really like 2-3 movies in one this is for you. Personally, I felt I got more than what I paid for. But be warned this movie is not for everyone.

Not a perfect steelbook. But happy to own
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given the plethora of imagery and iconic scenes in this film, there could have been much more done with the design of this steelbook as far as the interior. The exterior however I find beautiful. Loved those poster before release, and was satisfied to see them translated to steelbook. The interior does however leave more to be desired. The reversible cover design doesn't bother me at all. Happy to have both as an option.

Ultimate Edition is the way to go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This ultimate edition contains 30 additional minutes of "completed" footage. Most of the additional time is small 15 - 20 seconds added onto already existing scenes and a couple of longer scenes further explaining the plight of Superman and Lois Lanes investigation. In my opinion it REALLY helps to explain these two characters motivations as well as Lex Luthers schemes. If you thought the theatrical release was good, you will love this version. If you thought the theatrical version was fair, this may improve it to good. If you thought it was bad before, it'll likely still be bad.

4k IMAX & Color Correction! Best Version of BvS
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS! is the copy to own. The color correction is fab; the IMAX is perfect when used. Not all scenes are IMAX and I appreciate that. Also Ive loved every promotional poster/cover for BvS with the different releases over the years. The only complaint I have is the disc is bare bones but don’t let that stop you with experiencing BvS in a new light

The artwork and movie are both fantastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The artwork for this movie is fantastic along with an amazing directors cut. The directors cut fleshes out Supermans motivation which was missing in the theatrical cut, and it helps you understand all of his choices made in this movie. Ben Affleck surprised us all with an amazing Bruce/Batman and Amy Adams is great. My only gripe with this film was Jesse Eisenberg some scenes he was great, and other scenes he's just over the top, but it doesn't bring down the film. Henry Cavill brings an emotional complexity to superman like never seen before, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was fantastic.

Almost good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie had a lot of potential (or maybe it was just my hope). But poor storytelling and major plot holes really ruined what could have been a great movie. The Ultimate Edition is supposed to fix/explain some of the plot holes, but it doesn't address some of the major ones. Once can hope the upcoming Justice League movie will improve over this film, but early indications are that it's going to be just as bad.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely better than the theatrical version. The extra content made the plot make much more sense. As for the bonus features, there is a lot of good stuff. I especially liked the Batmobile documentary. Overall, the movie still has flaws and could have been a lot better, but this ultimate edition is what we should have had in the first place.

A movie that benefits from a directors cut
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ultimate edition of this movie is a much better version of the story. The added 30 minutes add important components to the plot. Seeing the trinity of the DC Universe on the big screen is awesome. Ben Affleck brings a new and fantastic element to the cinematic Batman. I still think that DC has a long way to go in order to match the cohesion and story telling of the Marvel universe, but this is an enjoyable journey.

A much clearer Batman v Superman
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a fan of the movie in the theaters and I am a bigger fan of the ultimate edition. Like so many, I myself did feel slightly confused at the version shown in the theater because quite a few things didn't make sense and some of the story was just a bit confusing. I'm glad to say that the Ultimate Edition clarifies most of the confusion and is a much better story to tell. Looking forward to Justice League now and looking forward to what other DC Projects are to come. On a side note, the extra special editions on the Ultimate Edition are awesome and definitely worth seeing as well.

The Extended Cut Is Better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a huge Batman fan and eagerly anticipated the theatrical release of this movie. I saw it opening night in 3D. The movie was decent but was all over the place with the plot. When I watched the extended cut via Blu Ray, well, my opinion of the movie went from decent to really good. It's not perfect but it's still a lot of fun. The 3D quality at home never ceases to amaze me. I know that most people that hate on 3D usually don't have a 3D television at home and are only going on his or her theater experience. Seeing the showdown between Batman and Superman in 3D is breathtaking.

Justice League preview
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Batman v Superman is a preview of what the Justice League will be. The first half of the movie is pretty much nothing but dialogue; however, the last hour is an epic fight scene that involves Batman, Superman, and introduces us to Wonder Woman. I love how Bruce Wayne / Batman plays detective throughout the movie to enlist the help of other superheroes to join his team, thus creating the Justice League. During the fight between Batman and Superman, Batman relies on his wits to create devices that help even the odds against Superman. This is a must watch before watching Suicide Squad.

Great Setup For The Justice League Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Zack Snyder's rendition of Superman with Man of Steel and I love BVS. Yes, it's a slower pace, and I really could stand this rendition of Lex Luthor, but overall I am a fan of this movie. I admit I was saddened by the reveal Ben Afflack would be the next Batman, but that went away instantly once I saw him in action. Pretty decent segue to opening up the DC Universe for a broader scale with more heroes.

Fine film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie gets too much hate. I love Batman, i read the comics, watch the shows, play the games....the movie isn't that bad. Yes they tried to blend 2 classic stories into one and then add some of their own story, but it wasn't that bad. I enjoyed the movie. And those Batman fight scenes were great, really showing how he's not perfect in combat and could be done in many times if not for his brainyness and suit.

Good but not great DC comics movie.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Flawed and overlong but generally entertaining comic book blockbuster. It has some very memorable action scenes but a storyline that seems both rushed and overstuffed with too many plot lines. As a long time DC comics fan, I enjoyed the film and look forward to the upcoming Justice League film but was hoping that this film would be better than it is. Still worthy of a watch, especially for Batman and Superman fans.

Ultimate Cut much better, still not great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The theatrical version had a lot of issues and for the most part the Ultimate cut solves these problems filling in the plot holes and creating better pacing and narrative structure, still doesn't change a grating Lex Luthor and an overstuffed story. Overall a beautifully shot film for sure and probably the best Batman/Batman action ever committed to film, the warehouse brawl tops anything Nolan ever did for sure.

Was better than I expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a huge Batman fan since I was a kid watching reruns of the old Adam West tv show and the amazing animated series. I was skeptical right there with everyone else when they first cast Affleck in the role but was pleasantly surprised at the film. At it's best it was a fresh take on an old story and at it's worst it was still visually pleasing. Still a rocky start to the Justice League but not bad overall.

Nothing like I thought!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not believe how surprised I was when this movie was over. I thought it was going to have a really dumb plot. How could you do a movie where Superman fights Batman but they pulled it off and very well if I must say. I don't want to reveal any thing that goes on in this movie so I'll leave it to your own imagination. Get it, watch it and be amazed and dumbfounded like I was. Well worth the time and money!

Better than theatrical version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ultimate version definitely helped to flesh out the plot. When watching the theatrical version, a lot of the plot and motivations are left up to the viewer to decode. The added 30 minutes of footage was useful in understanding more about Lex's plot, as well as why Superman feels such a need to stop Batman from conducting crime-fighting. If you had a choice, definitely choose the ultimate edition for viewing.

Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition finally on 4K
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition finally on a 4k UHD disc. I am happy they released the ultimate edition which was previously only available on bluray and DVD only on 4k UHD. When I purchased the original Batman V Superman I was disappointed to learn that the ultimate edition was not on 4k disc. The ultimate edition is 30 mins longer.

Better Than Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure, there are problems to be had with DC rushing to catch up to the MCU's expansive world (and success), BUT, Batman V Superman has some of the most intense action out there. Brutal and relentless fight scenes, beautiful special effects, and the extended version even fills in some more of the gaps. While it's certainly not necessary to see the EV, it is worth watching if you're a big fan of these characters.
