It's a solid DC movie, I liked the ultimate version I saw on demand. Bought this version thinking it was Ultimate version for all the formats, I was wrong. Packaging was slick, I missed it until I tried to play the Blu-Ray version at home. Guess I'll wait 4-5 years and when I have my 4K TV (I'm sure 8K will be out then), I will finally be able to watch the Ultimate version. Sigh...

They should have started with respective origin stories if they are being brought together for the first time. Also starting a group with conflict among its member is not the best way to do it especially the justice league. Plot seems a bit disjointed and did not really flow. DC should slow down a bit and finesse the movies like Marvel did for their franchise.

I love this movie! It's great! The pacing, the action, then acting, and those extended scenes really do it for me! They left so much out of the film when i saw it in theaters. But this is way more better explained with characters and story. I'm very satisfied with this purchase! I definitely recommend this! It's definitely worth buying it on bluray. Such an amazing movie. Forget what other people's bad comments say abou this and get your own. They are just some really picky people or they are haters. Definitely check this version out!

Cool set offering both versions of the film. A third disc has special features. The book itself is a collection of parts of stories that pit Superman and Batman against each other. Great read for the casual fan. The only thing I did not like is the discs are housed in the book itself instead of a standard case. This made me unable to keep it on the shelf with the rest of my movies.

I've been a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was hoping that this team-up movie would finally put DC on the map in a similar way, but the theatrical edition had too much content that left me either scratching my head or just plain disinterested. The Ultimate Edition, while longer than I'd like, helped clear up some of my confusion from the theatrical edition but in the end, my takeaway for this movie, as with several of Zack Snyder's films, was that it was too much style over substance. While some parts were enjoyable, the film didn't have the depth to make a second viewing worthwhile for me. Since the rating is for the overall blu-ray product and not simply a film review, I give this one 3 stars, owing it ability to show off the capabilities of a good home theater.

Some people bemoaned the Batman vs Superman concept but If your trying to kill two birds with one stone (in this case introducing a new batman and getting a superman movie out of it) then you do what you can. That's not to say this is a bad movie. On the contrary Ben Affleck turned out to be a great Batman and Henry Cavill is the ultimate Superman. Throw in Wonder woman and it's a triple threat. Story aside this is a great looking film and has that serious overtone that works well with both Superman and the dark knight. Enjoy

After Batman fails to destroy his arch enemy for him, the rabid minded villain Lex Luthor uses an "off world" piece of machinery (which happened to crash on earth) to create a humanoid super creature to kill his self envisioned opponent, Superman. Don't much care for Ben Affleck, but he did a decent job as Batman. Overall, this was fun to watch and well worth the cost of the DVD.

I thought the movie was OK. If you ignore the comic aspect of the movie, the movie is actually good in my opinion. I think where the movie disappoints is in its actor selection and character development. Specifically Lennox Luther was poorly portray. I blame the script and the actor selection. however this is largely due to the preconceived notion developed from the comic books.

If you enjoyed Man of Steel, you'll enjoy this movie. I personally enjoy most Zach Snyder films including this one, but when compared to movies from veteran comic book movie entity Marvel, I understand how many were disappointed and made this film so polarizing. Despite some bad creative choices and one major plot hole, it was an overall enjoyable experience.

As far as superheroes and controversy, this movie takes the cake! It was a long road to the big screen, then it just seemed like no one would be happy with this film. Forget what the critics say, this is a worthwhile entertainment endeavor! It's Batman and Superman, what's not to like?!? Ok, apparently a LOT....for my money, it was great! Seeing two titans take each other on was cool, plus the pre-formation of the Justice League. Side note: watch the longer 3hr cut - it is an all around better paced, more well put together film.

When I first saw BvS, I was really disappointed. For that reason alone I was really hesitant about buying the directors cut. How much better could it really make it? Turns out quite a bit. I don't understand why this version of the film was not released in the first place. If you haven't seen the original cut, skip that and go straight into the directors-cut, you wont regret it.

I think critics don't like superhero movies on principal, and they're a little mad that they still do well. Sure, this isn't a perfect movie, and by all rights should have been broken into two movies to flesh out some of the muddled storyline... All that said, it's still entertaining, still worth watching, and still Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman (highlight of the film, IMO)

So, it's been trashed on the Internet by fans and critics but realistically it has as many flaws as marvels civil war. I don't want to go into detail, but both suffered from some crazy schemes by the lead villain, obligatory hero fights and convenient plot devices. Bvs is gritty, dark and brooding, which I like. I'm looking forward to the next installment. Blu Ray is top notch!

This movie gets off to a slow start, but once it gets going it is action packed. The tension between Batman and Superman is ridiculous, both believing the other is a vigilante out of control. It resolves ridiculously as well, but once that happens they are acting in harmony again the way it's supposed to be. This movie got a bad rap with critics, but doesn't really deserve it.

I'm glad I ordered this when I did be they sold out pretty quick. After seeing this movie I couldn't wait for it to come out on Blu- Ray. I have and always will be a fan of DC. It's hard to give a good review on a movie without giving something away, It's a great and intense movie so believe me when I say GO GET IT. you won't be disappointed. I sure wasn't.

The movie was good, once I set aside my expectations for the characters. I think what most people had a problem with is that this is basically part two of the Superman (who's a little too detached from humanity while ironically being a little too human) "coming into his own" story, while trying to fit in Batman and him "coming to terms with his mental issues due to the loss of his sidekick", and at the same time introducing the characters of the Justice League. Essentially, it's likely too much backstory and rushed character development for their tastes. All of that is true. It is rushed, and crammed together, but that doesn't make it a bad movie. Once I took a step back and allowed myself to stop criticizing these things, I actually enjoyed the movie. My advice is to not go in expecting it to be an Oscar worthy piece of script writing, or to be the perfect example of the characters that you've grown up with and have always been there, but to just allow yourself to enjoy it without being overly critical. After all, Snyder was running the show.

This was a great film. Adding Wonderwoman and Aquaman in this is foretelling to future releases in this series. You need to watch this to stay informed of future events in the justice League theme. Batman cleverly battles Superman in this plot that reveals the indifferences between these two hero's while they share the Gotham City . Leading to a crescendo of epic proportions.

This movie didn't review that well but, and this is the extended edition, that just goes to show you why I NEVER agree with critics. Perhaps they should visit my world some time. I loved it. As a long time reader of D.C. comics I enjoyed the tack Zack Snyder took in the movie, it's certainly not the Frank Miller comic on which much of it is based. It's better and looks better than the earlier Man of Steel. Comic heroes are supposed to be reinvented and this was a great story - looking forward to Wonder Woman and Justice League!

When I saw this movie at the theater, I was slightly disappointed. But after buying it and watching it at home, I really like this movie. You have to watch it a few time to catch everything, but now I'm seeing that it is well put together. The special effects are awesome, and all characters did well with the acting. This is a must own movie if you like the D.C. Characters.

The only bad part about this movie is it tries to explain who Batman and Superman are for someone who has missed all of the previous movies. Once you get passed this part the movie was really good. Gave us a glimpse of Wonder Woman and how she fits in. I liked the move, but again in my opinion it could have been shorter by not detailing the origins of Batman and Superman.
