I realize some were not too crazy for the film after it released and I understand that the story structure was not the best but I have to say that after watching it again, at the end of the day, I find it to be an enjoyable film while replicating images from the graphic novel THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS which a decent chunk of the film is inspired from. I don't think they had to throw Doomsday into the mix like they did because you could have made another movie with that. I was surprised with the R rating even with the added footage because as it stands it is a very like R - much like MAD MAX FURY ROAD which was a very intense experience but was just barely an R also. Still, enjoyable film and no regrets purchasing this version of the film.

I thought this movie was pretty good. The issue is the writing. How come DC movies are not as engaging as Xmen, Captain America or Iron Man. The writers tried to set up tension between Batman and Superman but it didn't seem real to me. There were flashbacks to other Batman films that I thought didn't need to be replayed because everyone knows the story. I did like the subplot of who is Superman? Is he a God among men or someone whom you shouldn't trust. That is directly related to anyone who is a celebrity in the real world and how we look upon them. That same point was played in the first Avenger movie also. Overall, I thought the movie was pretty good but with a tighter script this franchise can be taken to the next level.

The movie was ok. Henry is a great choice for Superman and Gal was pretty good as Wonder Woman. I still think Michael Keaton is the best Batman and Bruce. Ben did ok as Batman. I bought it because the price was decent.

I really don't know what happened in this film, for the teaser trailer looked rather thrilling, however, the movie kind of falls flat on it's face, except for the introduction of it's future Justice League characters. I think that is all this movie was made for, just a lead in to that future picture, which is kind of a shame. It started on a promising note, and Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman, is certainly worth watching, the story line in it self keeps the viewers of this picture, scratching it's head. I wanted so much more of this first DC feature, and it just does not stand up to any of the Marvel pictures. Don't get me wrong, I gave it a good thumbs up, I just think that it could have, and should have been better..

OK, lets just get it out of the way. The theatrical cut of Batman v Superman was long, tedious, and incoherent. The movie clocked in at over 2.5hrs and there was an EIGHT MINUTE fight between the two titular characters. This wouldn't have been bad if the movie surrounding it made sense. That's where this cut of the movie comes in. Yes this version is about half an hour longer, making the movie a 3hr journey, but there is a lot more exposition and explanation for characters and their motivations in this version. You have things that went unexplained in the theatrical cut laid out for you so that you can enjoy the movie a lot more. Highly suggested to watch THIS version. Also that double sided steelbook it came in was SWEET.

Im not a fan of drawn steelbook artwork but this one is pretty darn good! I was impressed

While I might be in the minority of individuals who really liked (and understood) Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, I was slightly upset by the fact that ieven though it came with an extended edition, and 3D version, those were two different blu-rays. Even with that being said, I was extremely pleased with the extended edition and the 3D version. This recalls two or three crossover episodes of the 20 year old "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Superman" series from the nineties. I'm pleased, and will recommend this to those who are fans of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.

But it for my husband, he love it, and I loved the price. 3.99 on black friday.

This movie is an oldie, but a goodie! I enjoy the battle between those two!!

Maybe I should be embarrassed by how many copies of this movie I own, but since it's my favorite film, I'm not. My only gripe is that they did not include a standard Blu-ray in this edition because I'm not yet 4K capable. I just can't justify upgrading my receiver and TV at this time. But I've been able to watch the digital version, which is less compressed than it appears on HBO Max, where there is obvious macroblocking in the desert scenes. Unlike previous releases, this version includes the IMAX scenes of the film in the full 1.44:1 ratio, so it alternates between the 2.35:1 and the IMAX ratio. Those scenes look beautiful, and I look forward to seeing them in 4K one day. This disc also adds a Zack Snyder commentary track.

I enjoyed the movie. While I think it could have gone differently, it was good.

Though not a great movie, it is way too picked apart by critics. The reason Batman and Superman fight could have been better but who cares? You watched the movie because you wanted to see them fight - and what a battle royal it is! Affleck is great as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg is creepy as Lex Luthor, Henry Cavill is as good a Superman as you'll ever see, and his moments as Clark Kent are kind of touching. The big star is Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman who kicks series butt. Can't wait for her solo effort as well as Affleck's solo effort as Batman. So, while not a great film, it's a lot better than the critics say, and has a lot less plot holes than the new Star Trek film that they slobbered all over themselves with praise.

Trying to start a DC movie collection with the new movies that they started making

I bought this movie I'm black Friday. Thank you for the great price it's a great movie!

The extended cut is with the price alone but the 3d on theatrical version is excellent.

Of course this a devicive movie, and I understand many of the criticisms. But I enjoyed it, and I like Synder's take on both heros. So what Batman has become darker after years of fighting crime and not much has changed. If he were a real person there would no way he could justify not taking out the Joker or any of Gotham's villain permanently. He would literally have thousands of deaths on his hands. Many do not like the new "sad" Superman. But again, it is a real mordern take on the character. If every time you did something heroic, and you were criticized, and even rejected, by the same people you were trying to help, you would be kinda gloom too. They should have had a scene of him checking his Twitter account.

Very good movie. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the dc series.
