Extended cut makes this movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having seen this in theatre, I was eager to see an extended version of this film. I could tell that it was butchered from the jerky flow of the storyline. This extended cut should have been the theatrical release. It flows better. Wish there was more of Wonder Woman, but her own movie is coming soon. A must see version of the film if you did not like or understand the theatrical version. I understand the whole terrorist Lois Lane scene and the future scene better.

Ultimate is better!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First saw this movie in the theater and thought it was a so-so film. Purchased this as a gift, to my son, not really noticing that this contained an "Ultimate Edition". Although the "Ultimate" contains an additional 31 minutes (infused within the movie not just added as deleted scenes), we found it more entertaining, and interesting, than the theatrical edition (also included)! If you thought the theatrical was good, you're gonna LOVE the "ultimate"!!!

Ultimite Edition is where it's at
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie got a lot of hate when it came out in theaters and I was a bit disappointed myself. However, the ultimate cut is much better. The plot flows much more smoothly and previously frustrating scenes made much more sense. The blu ray quality is great (as usual) and, though i have no plans of using it, having a Blu ray of the theatrical release is nice to have. If you didn't enjoy BvS that much in theaters, i definitely recommend trying the ultimate cut

Good but not Super
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Batman V Superman was a good film but sort of lackluster definitely worth a look However the movie tries to cram too much into too small of a space I feel like this would have been better had it been 2 or 3 separate movies. 4K UHD copy was nice but for the most part the film is dark and does not take advantage of HDR but clarity was top notch altogether worth a purchase but maybe wait for the price to drop slightly or a good sale.

Better Than Expected Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With all the hype and advertising, we thought this may be an interesting movie, but you know Hollywood; they usually show the best part of the movie in the trailers and the rest is generally not good. HOWEVER, this movie was certainly much better than we expected and absolutely super in 3D. Without giving anything away, as the story events and character relationships began to change the fights and battle of engagement was thrilling. I would not miss this one.

Dark and little slow, but has some good points
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely worth the watch. Moves a little slow at times and broods a little too much, but it had some interesting points to make about humanity and the fears and emotions that often control us. It is not a feel-good movie, but it has some redeeming qualities and also makes good points about finding out the truth behind the lies. Just don't expect the light-hearted feeling you get from Avengers type of movies.

Extended cut is better
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Biught this because I wanted to complete the Snyder cut edition of the man of Steel, this film and the justice league which I also pre ordered. The extended edition looks better plus the added imax scene looks great as well. Sound wise it's still has the room shaking full base which I love! Overall, it's a great movie.

Not great, but not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't see Batman v Superman with high expectations, so I wasn't too disappointed. Movie drags a bit. Special FX were pretty good. The 2 superheroes dislike each other and in just a matter of 2 minutes, everything turns and now they're the best of friends. Why? I can't say since I'd spoil the plot. Good to see other DC superheroes, which may make an appearance in the future. I understand Wonder Woman will have her own movie. Look forward to it. Enjoy.

Best one yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Zack Snyder makes superhero movies, but his characters don’t act very heroic. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice features all the other trappings of the superhero genre: Capes, gadgets, outlandish muscles, punching stuff. But the two stars aren’t noble, selfless, or chivalrous; they’re violent, aggressive, and angry — mostly at each other instead of the bad guys. In Snyder’s formulation, protecting the world from evil isn’t a gift or a calling; it’s a burden. And that feeling is reflected in the movie itself, a burdensome 150-minute slog about two men fighting over who is in the right when both are very clearly in the wrong.

Better Than the Critics' Reviews
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While not a great movie, per se, this is decidedly better than the many critics' reviews. Generally I don't disagree with at least some set of critics, but on this movie they dropped the ball. Yes, they probably are jaded, seeing many more movies than the typical moviegoer, but this movie is entertaining and well paced. I thought much the same of the prior DC Superman live action movie, although that one had slightly better critical reviews.

Great Movie and was in stock when I wanted it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was great. It gives new life to the Batman and Superman stories and brings the old Justice League cartoons into the picture. You couldn't have picked a better actress for Wonder Woman. Too bad we have to wait so long for another great movie. Best Buy comes through again. The product was there when I wanted it. The best part was when I spoke with the store personnel. I was met at the door with a welcome and asked twice if I needed help finding anything. The person who rang up my purchase showed me I had more points to use than I thought. An added bonus to a very pleasant shopping experience. Thanks guys.

It Ain't Marvel, But It Ain't Bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie covers a lot of ground and that can be confusing for some...honestly for the movie to make sense you need the ultimate edition b/c the extra 30minutes helps A LOT! If you are expecting lots of the Justice League you'll be disappointed, but Wonder Woman is better than expected. Ultimately the movie (from a concept pov) is rushed...DC wants what Marvel has, but they jumped hard into the team up movie w/o establishing more characters/actors.

it wasn't bad?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look, you're going to have your own opinion on this movie if you're considering purchasing it, so I doubt my review will sway you. That said, Affleck does a solid job as Wayne/Batman, in a movie that doesn't really understand the Batman character and follows up on a film that did a so-so job on Superman to begin with. But please, Lex? No. Just. Not good. Not a fan of the casting and not a fan of the choices in how to play him. Beyond caricature.

I put up with Ben Affleck just for Wonder Woman
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ben Affelck as Batman???? Why, oh why God have you forsaken us???? Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman though, saved the film for me. Great entertainment, but if you like good plots though, you are NOT in for a treat....except for when Wonder Woman makes her appearance. Batman kicking Superman's behind, C"MON!!!! SPOILER ALERT- Batman only spares Superman's life because he finds out that they both have mothers named Martha???? Mosses smell the roses!!!!

Very dark!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right at the beginning, I wondered, "How on earth did young Bruce Wayne survive that fall all those many, many meters down the rabbit hole?".Well, I did also wonder why the gunman, who shot but did not rob his parents, not shoot young Bruce also. Did our government think that Superman shot all those terrorists? Did they think he kept an arsenal under his cape? Was that pause at the end a hint for, "The Rebirth Of Superman?"

A pretty underrated movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm honestly not sure why people hate this movie. To put it on the same level as other comic book movies, I personally enjoy it more than the dark knight rises. Every critique people make about BvS, I would make about DKR (too dark, over stuffed plot...) The ultimate cut does make more sense than the theatrical version, but I can see why the studio said it needed to be shorter, cause it feels way long. Still good, though.

Movie was so good, I bought another for my brother
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had just reviewed this movie, but after seeing it I had to purchase another on for my brother. I had seen this movie at the theater, but if you haven't seen this Ultimate Edition, you are missing out. The Ultimate Edition adds 30 minutes back into the movie that should have been the theatrical version seen in the theaters. As I have stated before, it talks to a few of the reasons characters where doing what they were doing. I don't want to give anything away, so I would just say, BUY THIS EDITION and enjoy the movie the way it was suppose to be seen. Also, buy one for a friend or relative, they will enjoy it too.

Epic!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great continuation of the Superman story weaving in the Batman storyline and merging the two into an epic showdown. Also sets up a wider telling of the DC comic book universe. (Welcome to the party - Marvel has been doing this for years!) This set includes Blu-ray and DVD disks as well as the digital download. A word about the digital edition which is streamed via UltraViolet: the latest Flixster app on the iPad has a tendency to lock up while viewing via streaming. It also goes fuzzy and is full of digital "artifacts" at times. My recommendation is to download a copy if you plan on using Flixster.

Tortured Heroes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The film explores pain, vengeance, jealousy, and remorse from its heroes. The story between Batman and Superman has a darkness to it. Imagine feeling obsolete vs someone with seemingly unlimited power. That thread is well placed in the film. The Directors cut is the more well explained version of the film. It has more details that better defines the heroes and villains in this film/series of DC films. Ultimate Edition is the way to go.
