Better Expereince Than at the Movies

I must say, this movie was much better for me the second time watching it. When I went to the movies and watched it, I had the horrible critic reviews on my mind and I picked this movie apart too. However, after sitting and home months later and watching the Blu-Ray, I can honestly say that this movie is not as bad as I once thought. No, I was not thrilled with Jessie Eisenberg's character (was basically is (Social Network character except more evil I guess). It just didn't work for me. Other than that, it was a good watch.

I didn't see this one in the theaters due to all of the mixed reviews from friends and media. perhaps it might be the low expectations that I had, but I found myself enjoying this one. perhaps the extra scenes on the blu-ray (not seen in the original theatrical version) might have made the difference, but I enjoyed it enough to purchase it for my personal library

Not great, not terrible, not essential

When the theatrical cut of this movie came out, a lot of people hated it; I wasn't one of those people. Yes, it was overblown and ludicrous and its story was at times deeply stupid, but Zack Snyder remains a visual stylist--I maintain that this is the best-LOOKING Batman since Burton--and the performances by Ben Affleck and Gal Godot made it worth watching with appropriately low expectations. I came into the extended Blu-ray with similarly low expectations, and I don't regret owning it: again, it looks great, and while the movie didn't need to be 3 hours long (let alone 3 and a half), at least at home you have the luxury to break it up into separate viewings. If you're expecting a dramatic change from the theatrical cut, however, you'll probably be disappointed. The narrative logic still borders on nonsensical, and the restored scenes don't add much to what I remembered from theaters. If you hated Batman v Superman, the extended cut doesn't "fix" it; if you liked it, it doesn't ruin it.

I thought this movie was pretty good, (once you get over Ben as Batman). All in all, I thought, while not the greatest movie ever, for what it was, not as bad as I'd heard. Plus, to be honest, Wonder Woman is bad a$$. Definitely rewatchable so that says something about a movie to me.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gothan City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known.

When you are forced to cut scenes from a movie I suspect it's difficult to decide what to keep versus what not to keep. I think one or two scenes that were cut from the theatrical version should not have gotten cut. After watching the extended edition I think it flowed better. That's just my opinion of course. Pick it up if you can get it on sale.

If you can get past Affleck playing Batman, this is a good movie. I found it entertaining. I thought the UHD presentation was really good. Not reference, but very solid. It's a dark movie, so the HDR really impresses here. Being that it's a dark (and muted) movie, the WCG does a good job, but is not outstanding. Audio quality was really good with this as well.

All the professional reviews had bad things to say about the movie but it was a decent action movie based on a comic book. Lots of action and my home theater was full of sound, enjoyed the 2.4:1 superwide aspect as the projector is set up for that. There were some holes in the plot but I probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't rear the other snobby movie reviews

An absolute must own and THE best way to watch this film! The Ultimate Cut is a must as while even the theatrical cut was a work of art, the Ultimate Cut is perfection that fills in all of the "gaps." This release is the first HDR release that has the full and proper aspect ratios, so if you want to see this as intended (minus going to the theater), then this is the way!

I don't know why most people have been trashing this movie because I actually enjoyed it. I guess it's because I also enjoyed the Man of Steel. If you're expecting this movie to be on the same level as The Avengers then you're sadly mistaken. The movie was what I expected and I enjoyed it. The only part I didn't understand was when The Flash popped up in Batman's dream.

the theatrical release of this film was a 5 for me (out of 10). but this version bumps that score up to a solid 7. it still has plenty of problems including some funky editing, and very lazy introduction of the rest of the justice league, and an altogether wrong performance of lex luthor (i am not in the camp that decries the selection of jesse eisneberg to play luthor, however the decision to portray him the way he was played was all wrong. a slightly darker version of his character from "the social network" would have played much better IMHO). so, the movie is by no means perfect (and not even great quite frankly), but the decision to cut out these 30 minutes was not a good one as it completely changed the entire tone of the film, and helped it to make a lot more sense. so, i encourage anyone that has already seen the film to watch this as well, and if you watch objectively, i'm sure that you'll agree that the film is definitely better than the theatrical version. i wanted to give 3.5 stars, but i can't so i rounded down to 3.

The uncut version of BVS is a must see. Loose ends from the theatrical version are nicely tied up. Oh, and who doesn't love Wonder Woman!! Overall this extended cut left me very fulfilled and entertained. Ben Affleck does an excellent job as Bruce Wayne which was a nice surprise. If you have not seen this cut yet I would highly recommend. Glad I purchased this Blu Ray.

Don't listen to the whiny fanboys who never seem to be satisfied and always find something to complain about. Hey, this isn't Hamlet, it's a comic book movie. And there's Wonder Woman! I love all the Batman movies and the new Superman franchise so this was much awaited and it doesn't disappoint, especially the extended version. If you're "worried" about Ben Affleck as Batman, don't! He does a great job in continuing the brooding Dark Knight Batman that Christian Bale did so well. Make a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy.

What can I say about this film, besides that it delivers all that I wanted for my home entertainment experience. The Blu-ray comes with a lot of extra features and the ultimate edition. The means that it has extra added scenes that were not shown in the theatrical release. I would recommend this to any Blu-ray collector that enjoyed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

As a longtime comics reader, I approached the movie thinking that the concept of Batman battling Superman was nonsensical, hence my expectations were pretty low. After viewing the movie, I was really impressed with the nuance and sophistication delivered by the director. The film is much more about managing the presence of super beings versus just a battle between 2 very well known superheroes. I really enjoyed the movie, only negative was that Ben Affleck would not be my casting choice for Batman.

I really enjoyed this movie because it's loaded with fun and Wonder Woman!! Yes, there are some silly plot points in the dramatic arcs, but if you choose to look past the implausibility of the plots, you'll have fun--um if you believe in flying aliens with laser eyes, you can live with mommy issues and typical short-lived arrogance that leads to superhero infighting.

Dawn of Justice could have been a lot better, but it's pretty good as is. I do feel there's enough plot for two movies here, and the director could have streamlined this one. Nevertheless, it's extremely entertaining -- and what more is required? Regarding the steelbook edition: It's well constructed and the cover art is beautiful. This edition had all of the extras that were available in other editions, and the price was comparable to the regular BD combo pack. In other words, this purchase was a no-brainer.

If you liked the movie and then your going to love this version even more. The 4k is crisp and the HDR makes the movie come to life before your eyes, assuming that you have a 4k Hdr ready tv that is. Also, this version of the movie is the the rated R /uncut version with lots of extra footage not seen in the theatrical version. Very hardcore and awesome. Defiantly a must have for your collection! **note** this version comes with both standard Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray discs as well as a digital copy on Vudu

I was never a fan of comic books... in fact I am not aware of anyone who was. However, I do enjoy their adaptation to big blockbuster movies, YES this one included. The movie was very busy because it had to set the stage for the Justice League - BIG job. I'm glad that the producers didn't try to "MILK" this into two or three movies. I really like Ben Afleck in the role, and the introduction of Wonder Woman jumping into the fight scene was THE MOST incredible character introduction I've ever seen... AMAZING!

With over 30 minutes of additional footage, this Extended Version is an improvement over the Theatrical Version. Plot points are better explained, and the overall flow is improved. But, the film is still over-loaded. I enjoy Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, but the film would be better by just focusing on Batman & Superman. As it exists, the film just tries to do too much.
