I love the SteelBook exclusives. I seen this movie in theaters and it was ok. Not the greatest superhero movie made but certainly not the worst. It was good in its own way, and I purchased it hoping the uncut version was a big difference. Uncut version wasn't much different though. If your a DC comics fan or a comic book fan pick this movie up.

This is a great movie that is better than the theater version. It helps fill most of the plot holes that were left out of the PG13 version. There is a few areas though that have to be left to the viewer to decide what/why something It also has a bit more of an adult aspect with the R rating but other than some graphic violence, its not too bad.

    Disappointing movie, underwhelming packaging

After watching the extended edition of the film, it went from bad to "ehh", the movie itself has some decent action set pieces which are executed well, which Snyder is very talented at...but the story and direction of the film are just not there. Seemed more and more like the whole 2+ hour (almost 3 hours for the extended edition) runtime was meant to be a lead up to the upcoming Justice League film. In terms of the special edition steelbook packaging, it was also underwhelming, the reversible nature of the steelbook case is an interesting novelty (yes, both reversible versions of the steelbook Best Buy is selling are identical), but seems like more of a gimmick then anything else. As far as the artwork, it's nothing new, just the same promotional Batman v Supernan poster's that were everywhere as advertising leading up to the release of the movie. Unless you absolutely need the steelbook, like I did, you'll be fine with the regular edition of the film.

I liked Batman V. Superman at the movie theater. I feel the my biggest issue with it is that there are some gaps in the story that don't really make much sense. Most of these are addressed when watching the extended edition. I liked it even more when seeing the longer version. The UHD Blu-ray looks and sounds great too. Highly recommended!

Just bought this finally after being sold out for soo long. The movie is so clear and crisp and the sound mix is amazing on my sound system. Also love the redone color and assist ratio. After Zack Snyder Justice League, that imax aspect ratio really grew on me. You see soo much more of the movie. Hopefully they remaster Man of Steel next.

    Another DC Entry

Movie reviews are very subjective, so take it with a grain of salt. This is very similar in tone to the recent Superman DC movies. Zack Snyder has a very distinct style, which is on full display here. Overall I thought it was decent, worth watching for DC fans, but maybe not for everyone. The disc itself is excellent (picture, sound, etc...)

It's a great movie with some flaws

I really liked BvS when I saw it theaters but some of the initial glamor has worn off. While still a good movie, it really does have some flaws that keep it from being great. The extended cut adds some nice scenes but also some language that didn't really need to be in there. I just hope the future DC movies don't make the same mistakes.

This is a good movie rendered in native 4K. Has a lot of action sequences and was overall an enjoyable experience. If you have a 4K HDR tv you will enjoy it better than regular blu ray which is great as well. This is packaged with a regular BR disc and a code for digital HD UV as well as the 4K Ultra HD Disc. Got it on sale for a Best Buy!

I enjoyed the original release, despite the naysayers and critics. Perhaps because I have been waiting for this for so many years, going back to the time when comics were the "social media" of the time. This extended version fills in some blanks, and makes me that much more interested in the new Justice League and other DC future releases.

Will say the ultimate edition certainly is better than the theatrical cut of the film, however it doesn't really improve the overall experience of the film. The steelbook looks great with both batman and superman covers either side. Looking forward to an improvement in the Justice League films but I like where they're taking the stories.

Most everyone already has their own opinions about this movie, but the packaging looks good. There were too versions one with Batman on the cover, and the other with Superman. It looked like both were the same so it doesn't matter which one you get, if you are particular about the direction of the spine, you end up with Batman on the front.

The movie is greatly improved in the extended edition. Worth every cent. Of course, remember that the 3D version is NOT extended. I'd recommend this movie to a friend, but that's because I know what kind of friends I have. Would I recommend this movie, either version, to someone that I don't know? Absolutely no. This is a particular taste.

Many I have spoken to didn't really care for the movie. I felt it was a good, entertaining, fast moving movie. It was hard to believe that Batman, who is my favorite, could stop the punch of Superman; the guy who can lift giant pieces of earth with little effort. Also, I miss the Superman who fought for Truth, Justice, and the American way.

This is a good movie, much better than the critics think. I liked that DC isn't trying to copy what Marvel is doing. The Ultimate Edition is a great value. You get the extended cut and theatrical version on blu-ray, the theatrical version on DVD, and the HD digital versions of both the extended cut and theatrical version (most blu-rays only include the theatrical digital version). I buy the majority of my movies from Best Buy and have never had any problems with any discs.

I heard the reviews when this movie was in theaters, so I wasn't that keen on getting it but I have 3 boys and they wanted it. I got it in 3d, and I liked it. The only contention that I have with the movie is the miscasting of Lex Luther. I am sorry, but Jesse Eisenberg is a terrible actor and he ruins just about every movie that he is in.

Bats v Supes... Is it really bad?

The answer is no. At least not in my opinion. Is it The Dark Knight... also no. I don't get the hate that BvS received. I enjoyed the flick. The extended cut really improves upon the theatrical cut. You understand so much better what's fueling each character and why they're doing what they're doing. The narrative flows much better as well.
