While I didn't hate Batman v Superman, I was disappointed that it wasn't a better movie. DC continues to struggle on delivering great Superhero movies while Marvel releases hit after hit. DC does excellent TV series (Arrow, Flash, etc.) so why don't they use the writers and / or directors to make a decent DC film.

This is an ok movie. I would suggest renting it over buying.

Warner Bros assumes that audiences can't handle a three hour long film, this ultimate cut did so much to explain the plot holes of the film and made the film seem less choppy. It's a shame that they seemingly did the same for Suicide Squad. Definitely give this one a watch. Still not perfect, but it's wayyy better

I initially liked this movie in the theater. Granted it had it's problems but I thought it was pretty solid. The Blu-Ray extended version is far superior and fills in some plot holes. It makes for a better movie and should have been released in the theater. Looking forward to the rest of DC's movie universe.

Unlike most moviegoers and critics I enjoyed this movie. I was a bit skeptical to hear that Ben Affleck was going to be the next Batman but he actually did a very good job. I also liked Henry in Man of Steel so I knew I would like him here. It was a bit long at close to 3 hours, but like I said I enjoyed it.

...The detail is really fine and colors and effects are more enhanced on this version...I know some that can't distinguish bluray from 4k but most have not seen the difference side by side...there is quite the difference on shadows, blacks and whites...but what really matters is the high definition and detail to backgrounds and fast action scenes...this movie is the perfect setup to show off the contrasts and light to dark and color indeed!

Normally when a movie is released with Director's cuts is to extend its premise and fill in some small gaps. In the case of BvS, because the movie has some low points in its mechanics, the additional content is actually noticeable and completes some of those gaps. It becomes a better movie with better pacing.

Wonder woman stold the show as usual. But a decent movie..

There was some controversy over the theatrical release of this movie. Approx. 30 minutes was restored to it upon it's home video release, making it an R-rated movie. These restored story elements made for a smoother movie. This also is the set-up for the forthcoming Justice League movie. Never before have Batman And Superman been in the same movie together. I really enjoyed this movie! And the Best Buy exclusive steelbook is awesome, too!

Superman has not been the same since Christopher Reeve, and while I didn't know what to think of Affleck being the Dark Night, he's still better than Val Kilmer and Clooney. It is a new spin and feel to the DC stories. Lags in the story development, and some plot pieces certainly have holes but overall not bad.

I did no expect to enjoy the movie because of two good guys fighting each other . It was surprising to see the whole movie & understand why they were fighting each other & in a twist in the movie showed a small part of Wonder Woman. Witch of course I am sure they will be up coming movies with Wonder Woman in it.

When I saw this movie during its initial theatrical release, I was not as disappointed as the whole world seemed to be with this movie. It had it flaws but it was not terrible, however, watching the directors cut and researching some of the Easter eggs the movie provides has made this movie much more enjoyable.

This was a surprisingly good movie. I had heard mixed reviews, the entire range of experience. From what I had heard among friends, it was a little dark. I don't mind dark, as long as there is a good story. This movie indeed told a good story. The action was balanced with good character development, the special effects supported the storytelling and were not the only story, and any "darkness" actually seemed appropriate given the content.

Unlike a lot of other people, I did not go into this film with crazy high expectations. In that, it ended up being enjoyable for me. Yes it was cluttered. Yes Jesse Eisenberg was a terrible casting for this role. But I would never tell a comic book fan not to see these two iconic characters on screen together.

Bought this because I am a huge superhero fan and it is a scientific fact that Superman is the greatest of all! Consider this, when Bruce Wayne wakes up in the morning he has to put on a costume to become Batman. When Peter Parker wakes up in the morning he has to put on his costume to become Spider-Man. But when Superman wakes up in the morning he IS Superman and has to put on his costume to become Clark Kent to protect the ones he loves!

Though somewhat dark and and foreboding, this film introduces numerous DC heroes and sets the stage for upcoming movies. While our hearts are torn by the tragedies that befall, we find hope in the suggestions that positive things are in store for all who continue to search for the good and strive for the best.

I saw this movie in the theater when it came out. I really enjoyed it. The characters where good enough, but the story was uneven. The ultimate blue ray version is spot on. Ben's version of Batman was great, also Jessie new take as Lex was amazing. Wonder Woman stole the movie. I can't wait for Justice League.

I enjoyed the theatrical version when it came out and I liked the ultimate cut as well. I did receive my copy with a french dvd instead of the Ultimate Cut at first which was interesting. But Best Buy was cool about it and let me return it even though it was past the 15 day return period. Although the second copy they brought me also had a french dvd so I guess they got a bad batch. But Best Buy made it all good, that's why I shop here.

Too much over-criticized movie... if you like super heroes movies, go ahead and enjoy it despite what the critics say. There's good acting and good visual effects. What I think though, is that is not for younger children, as these heroes are portrayed as darker versions of what I remember from my childhood.

I was kind of hesitant to purchase the Special Edition, but after reading other buyers reviews I decided to purchase it and wasn't disappointed. The extended edition is what should've came out originally when it first came out in the big screen. It included scenes which made the movie better, in my opinion. I really hope that DC is not purposly creating these extended edition in the long run, they did it again with Suicide Squad.
