    Great Blu-ray, okay film

Watching this movie in 4k is great, however the film is just okay. The extended edition doesn't really warrant a better movie here, just a longer one. However, the action scenes in stunning 4k resolution with hdr make it a worthwhile purchase of you at least like these two iconic characters.

    Better, but still not great.

The Ultimate Edition is a better movie in that the extra scenes added make the story more cohesive, especially the beginning desert scenes where Superman was framed for murder. The movie still has major flaws. None of the extra scenes involve Superman smiling and Lex Luthor was horribly miscast.

The movie wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Ben Affleck actually did a decent job playing Batman. Jessie Eisenberg's role as Luthor SUCKED! He was the worst part of the movie! He's OK when he's in a comedy, but he should never be in an action movie. Overall I was very pleased with it.

I watched this movie in theaters, and despite the critical disdain for it, I loved it. This release provides extra content in the form of the Ultimate Edition. Unfortunately, the extended cut of the movie is only available on the UltraHD disc. The regular Blu-Ray only has the theatrical cut.

Why this movie received negative reviews when it was in the theaters, I'll never know. IMHO, the superhero genre does not need to be nonstop action. This movie has a solid plot line, and with the additional footage in the directors cut the story is even stronger. This was also the first movie I watched on my new 4K UHD Blu-ray player. The improved picture and sound quality make this an all around winner!

I think that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was one of the greatest action films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite action films of all-time. I have seen and enjoyed this film several times and I also think that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an original and exciting storyline.

The good: the SteelBook case is very nice. It is reversible with Batman on one cover and Superman on the other. Most of the Batman scenes are well done, especially a warehouse battle scene. The Wonder Woman introduction is cool (but completely spoiled by the trailer) and the bonus scenes in the ultimate cut of the movie help the story make a little more sense. The bad: The ultimate cut is not included in the digital version or DVD. The digital version is UltraViolet only which has limited streaming options. The story makes almost no sense with multiple flashbacks, dream sequences and set-up for future movies which have nothing to do with this story. Overall it was a disappointing movie that had a ton of potential and was saved from being a complete disaster by having a couple well executed action sequences.

    Great Batman/Decent Superman/Worst Lois Lane

I was most skeptical of Ben Afleck's performance as Batman, but that was quickly put to rest. He embodied the dark, broody Batman better than I could have imagined. Superman left more to be desired, but it was a better performance than Man of Steel. Lois Lane is the worst part of the movie.

I appreciate the film better the second time seeing it. Thing is, being a prelude to Justice League, I feel it could have been done a little differently so viewer could enjoy it more. Not quite as good as man of steel, but still light years better than the epic fail of the Green Lantern movie.

I was actually kind of hesitant on purchasing this movie because I am a huge fan of Christian Bale as Batman but to my surprise, I didn't think Ben Affleck was all that bad as Batman and I cannot wait for Justice League to hit the Big Screen. Movie was kind of dark compared to previous Batman Movies and Superman Movies but the fight scenes were great and glad I purchased the Ultimate Edition with all extra content.

This was a good movie, not a great one. There are definitely some great scenes in the movie. The extended version explains some of the gaps, and does better a better job at the character development, it also makes it feel more like a Super Man movie. They did an awesome job with Wonder Woman.

I really enjoyed Man of Steel. I personally was not a fan of how angry and violent Batman was in this movie. I thought the Lex Luthor character was an interesting villain and the sinister-feeling was played out pretty well. It was cool to be introduced to Wonder Woman in this movie and Superman did some pretty heroic things. I simply didn't feel inspired by the end of the movie, but the visuals were pretty cool at times. You'll probably at least want to watch this movie once to understand what's happening in the DC cinematic universe, but you might not end up wanting to purchase it. Then again, I'm one of the people who thought the Dark Knight was too dark and twisted to purchase, but most people tend to think that it was one of the greatest movies of all time.

UHD TV + 4K Makes Theaters Obsolete!

A UHD TV + a 4K player will make trips to the movies a thing of the past! I used to think I would be saddened by such a thing, but when you see & hear the quality- joy replaces any other feelings immediately! The movie was AWESOME! Especially the version with the extra 30 minutes of footage. A trip to the movies plus a beverage equals the cost of a 4K DVD. in the future, I'll stay home and await the release on DVD.

I honestly thought I would be disappointed in Ben Affleck being batman but for this story line he didn't do a bad job. Overall it was a good movie, introducing characters that I wouldn't have thought would come till later movies. I guess DC is trying to catch up to Marvel as quick as they can.

I may be in the minority here to actually enjoy this movie. We've all heard about what went wrong. As for the bluray release, it is actually annoying that WB releases the inferior version in theaters, but it must be their strategy to get people to double dip. The extended cut is much improved over the theatrical version, to the point that the theatrical bluray is needless and may never see the light.

Most of the reviews on this movie led me to believe it would be a big disappointment. In the end (and it took a long time to get to the end) it beat my low expectations and then some. Some of the fight scenes are unrealistic, but you can probably say that about all the superhero movies.

Great movie. Really big Batman fan growing up and Affleck didn't disappoint. Snyder shouldn't have gotten all the hate he was getting either (hate warner Bros. for editing the film before it hit theaters). Overall great movie, watched several times since purchasing the uncut movie. It's not a Marvel movie so stop comparing it to a Marvel movie. A DC movie is supposed to be dark and gritty just as in the comics.

Not a bad movie, my first in 4k, watch it for the 4k HDR contents. Movie was broken up and hard to follow in some scenes. Batman spends the first 3 quarters of the movie plotting and trying to kill superman. Then because their mothers share the same first name they become best buddies???

Finally the Batman we have been waiting for. Christian Bale's Batman was GOOD but there is no way that Batman could take on Sups. Affleck does a GREAT job. Can not wait for Justice League in November 2017. This movie is AWESOME, defiantly great to see The Trinity on the big screen.

Great movie the ultimate version is much better than the theatrical version. story flow much better (ending not so rushed). The book is great it shows the history & tension as well as the respect between Batman & Superman. I wish the book & disks were packaged separately (easier to store ). My only disappointment was that the price dropped $15 the next week. I usually purchase movies the 1st week they come out.
