Consider it as a prologue.

At least that is the way I see it , with almost every superhero having their own movie it is hard to put together a story with the best characters of the comic books.

Good addition to the series

I personally thought man of steel was better, & as a comic book reader I found things that I believe they could've done better. Overall I felt it was good enough to add to my movie collection.
