    Not Worth it!!!

Well I'd always bought beats but these arent worth it at at all, when I first got them, sound was okay, bass could of been better but overall not bad for headphones battery was great....BUT! In the next month I had bluetooth connectivity problems, it will still connect but disconnects by itself which was annoying happened over and over again, so 5 months later of owning it, It wouldn't turn on anymore and it was useless...battery was dead, so I charged it and it was a full charged battery, I was like okay let me charge it some more still wouldn't turn on....I wouldnt reccomend it it doesnt last long like the power beats 3, and I had those for 2 years now and still works. So no to Beats X!

Good sound quality, but also poor quality build

I have had 3 pairs of Beats X. Why 3 pairs? Because they don't last. And I am not rough on headphones. They don't just break outright usually. But after about 3 months of having them they will periodically refuse to pair with the iPhone. You can "reset and repair them" but even that stops working after a while. Sound quality and design are really good. But they just have really poor build quality, and even more disappointing software quality which is surprising given Beats is owned by Apple. I switched to the Bose wireless buds. And while they are a little more expensive, the quality has proven to be WAY better. Sound quality seems comparable.

New model ruined what used to be decent earphones

    Posted .

I had a pair of BeatsX from 2018 that I loved. Recently one side stopped working, which was a huge bummer given that they were less than 2 years old, but I had enjoyed them and gotten used to the functionality, so I decided to just purchase a new pair of what I thought would be the same earphones. While these appear to be the same as the 2018 ones, they are actually an awful imposter. The materials are clearly cheaper, they don't come with wingtips--which are the only things that kept them securely in my ears--anymore, and worst of all, the battery makes them basically useless. They go from a full charge to dead in under an hour and a half. I even exchanged them for a new pair, thinking maybe I just got a lemon, but was unpleasantly surprised to find that the replacement pair had the same issue. I don't think the sound quality is as good as it used to be either, but that could be due to the absence of wingtips. But it kind of doesn't matter because good sound quality doesn't do much for you if you have to recharge the stupid things every hour. I think I'm even more upset at this because now I'm back at square one finding wireless earphones that work for me without an obscene price point. Apple had that with the BeatsX and they ruined it trying to save a buck.

I bought my beatsX in October of 2018 they were great perfect sound quality always worked well it was like this for 5 months until March of 2019 when a pink dot started to show up randomly on the earbuds I ignored it until it wouldn’t let me use them now they just sit in my room because it physically won’t let me use them. These are amazing headphones but I wouldn’t recommend for long term use I am still hoping to find a way to get the shortage fixed once I do I will update this they are great earbuds though for sound

    Sounds good until they don't

Save your money and find a different pair to purchase. I've burned through three pairs of these and none have lasted longer than 9 months. In each case, one of the earpieces gave out. They sound good when they work and pair most of the time without any issues. However, they just don't last. Find another kind to buy. These are due for a refresh - hold out to see if those are any better.

I got yesterday and returning today. Battery is not good. Initially it shows 91% but within 20 min it was less than 10%. After full charge it works for 2 hrs only song play. Again I charged 100% and tried. 1 hr conf call and 1 hr music and battery was 10%. Sound is really good but I can't charge it every 2-3 hour.

    My beats X won't work

I've had me beats since September 2018. They have recently stopped working. I would plug them in and they will flash red and white 3 times and stay white. Then after 10 seconds the white light will disappear. When unplug them they flash red like there dead, Ive tried charging them for long periods of time but that doesn't work. I've tried to factory reset them but it also doesn't work. They have been amazing earbuds other wise.

    Great while it lasts

I had these earbuds for about a year. They were great while they lasted but as all the reviews on the Apple website state, there is a design flaw that will cause these to quit (if you are a daily user) after about a year. The wiring is very fragile and will snap causing the buds to become an expensive piece of junk.

Left earphone went out after 11 months DO NOT BUY

The left earphone went out exactly 11 months after purchase. This was a new exchange after the first pair had technical issues. I took my earphones to the apple store was told that I would get a new pair. I was then contacted for $79.99 for the repair. Applestore claims the mesh was missing from the earphone, so it wasnt covered under warranty. I took great care of my product.

    Breaking My Sanity and Wallet

I've had 3 pairs of beats headphones over the past year. 1 pair of powerbeats and 2 beats x. Switching brands now, Beats are breaking my sanity at the gym and my wallet. powerbeats ear piece broke and i've been having non stop connection issues with both the pairs of Beats X I've had. Based on sound alone these headphones would get a 4/5, but I simply can not stand Beats anymore

i had to replace them almost immediately after buying them, the second set died magically right after the warranty died, they offered to fix them at almost the price of a new set, they seemed concerned that i may have sweat on them, strange that they are touted as water resistant. so beware.

They don't hold it's charge, even right after u charge them. Probably just a defected pair, but still unable to use these. Gave it 2 stars instead of one bc they're beats and it's almost ability to work correctly.

    Garbage

I purchased these headphones primarily for travel. I think I’ve had them about two years now so I have only used them less than 10 times. I went to charge them to get ready for my latest trip and when I went to use them, they would not turn on. When they are plugged in, the light is on, but when I unplug them, nothing happens. When I plug them into my computer it says they are fully charged and up-to-date. They are outside of their warranty because I’ve had them over a year but it’s crazy to me that they only lasted less than 10 uses before the battery went bad. I contacted support and it would’ve cost $79 to maybe get the battery to work which obviously isn’t a great deal because a new pair is $100. Don’t waste your money on these garbage headphones!

I will start by saying i love headphones, and have tried most of them. After doing s lot if research i decided on giving these a shot, man was I disappointed. Yes, they pair easily to iphones and ipads, but personally i have never had issues with pairing. Aside from that ive used $10 headphones that are better. Cons: - i was disappointed when opening and not having a case or the wing tip ear buds. - sound quality is about the sane as the apple wired headphones that come with a phone. So for beats, horrible. - the cord is about 6” longer than needed and a complete hassle. - the ear buds didnt fit right, for me at least. - they claim its a fkex cord which is true but only about 3” of it is. Its impossible to fold them up neatly. Pros: - none. For $99 i would recommend bose soundsports all day

    Disappointed in Apple for this

I bought the BeatsX in May if 2018. Apple sent a replacement pair 7 months later. 7 months after that they are no longer working again. Apparently the replacement pair only had a 90 day warranty (2 months less then the original year warranty). So the only way to get help is to pay $79 +6.95 S&H.. I have read online so many people having exact issue and I know 3 people personally that have had to have these replaced in under a year. Loved them but for the price 7 months not long enough. Apple should stand behind the products better than this! I’m an Apple customer but guess I’ll have to buy different brand of earbuds this time.

    Didn't even last 4 months

Great sound quality when they work, however after 4 months I am noticing issues with battery life, random power offs multiple times per hour, battery has actually started to drain when plugged in to charge, seems to pick up on interference in manhattan unless you keep the phone at chest height. Only reason I purchased these in store and not online was so I could swap them out straight away with a new pair if I did have issues, which the salesman who sold me the product would not be an issue. I tried to exchange these on Tuesday in BestBuy and was told my warranty was with Apple and I had to go there, annoying but off I went to Apple who then informed me that they would have to be sent off for repair instead and be gone for two weeks. Not ideal considering I am going away next week for 2 months. Very disappointed with both Apple and BestBuy for the poor customer service on this one.
