I really wanted to like this. It's so pretty and Beats is just plain cool. But honestly it didn't win the sound test and it was noticeable more money than the JBLs I was comparing it to. Still, I convinced myself these were just as good. Sometimes I'm so vain. But it didn't last long and the gnawing feeling that I choose aesthetic over acoustic in a sound product grew until I knew I was being a hypocrite. These are decent speakers, but it seemed silly not to buy the best sounding ones. Branding is so convincing. Why can't the pretty ones also be the smartest ones?

The Beats Pill is a great speaker. Can get really loud at max volume. A full charge lasts me all day if not longer. With little use the battery last all week. Take this speaker to the park and does a decent job in a large open space. I’ll say about 20-30 feet before you can’t hear it (at max volume). The bluetooth range on this is awesome for me could go outside and still connected no problems.

This beats pill was the best idea for a gift for my wife she loves it she has it compatible with her iPad and hear his music shows and everything else on the beats pill we love using the beats pill every day to listen to music and to also have books read to Aj from my tablet while we listen to the beats pill Dr. Dre beats pill is the best sounding speaker portable system out there

Was looking for a cheaper alternative to Harmon Kardon Studio speaker. This was a Deal of the Day and discounted heavily. Other reviewers say it's good for bass-heavy music, but I found the sound generally thin. This retails for about half the price of the H/K, but sounds like it should be 1/3 the price. I returned and bought Ultimate Ears MegaBoom for similar price. Much happier with that speaker. Both are portable, but UE MegaBoom advertises it is drop/water proof (within limits). I is a bit funkier to look at, but sounds much richer. Both distort at highest volume levels, but the BeatsPill wasn't able to get as loud period, and started distortion at a lower volume level.

I really wanted this to be perfect and I had high expectations. I wasn't disappointed but it's just not perfect. Good size and weight. I like the ability to rename the device with the app if you download it. Now that Beats is an Apple brand I LOVE the fact that it is charged via Lightning like an iDevice. I wish the included wall adapter was a 2.4A charger so it could recharge iPads quickly but its not. The built-in USB port lets you use this as a portable battery if needed when you bring the wall adapter and included Lightning cable. Sound performance is a bit flat but much better than previous Beats attempts but for me lacks a bit behind the JBL Charge 2+. Buy it on sale like I did and it'll check all the right boxes.

I went into the store expecting to purchase a different Bluetooth speaker but decided to try the demo models that were on display. This product completely blew away comparable units! It produces great sound quality that is well balanced at any volume. The battery life is impressive. The unit feels really solid and has a quality feel to it, not to mention it is aesthetically appealing with its illuminated Beats by Dre logo.

The speaker sounds great, the charge lasts a long time. The size is perfectly portable.

I have been trying different speakers but all would either go haywire or stop working (Sony especially). I was wanting to go with something else but sadly found out you can only go with what is best. The Pill has been insanely impressive. No need to try another. Go Beats Pill. You’ll never regret it.
