Overall the beats are great. My son leaves on very low volume and he still can't hear me calling him. This was a birthday gift and he loves them.

I purchased three of these for my three children. My son had wanted a different type so I kept one of these for myself. Not only do my children love them but I fell in love with them as well. And I purchased these on sale on Thanksgiving day so I know now that I got an awesome deal. Some people think that the line of "beats" products are just a gimmick but after owning several different types of speakers and headphones I now know that this line is as good as they advertise. Your not just buying the name some people may think.

The beats headphones have great sound. Like the fact that they can be folded up and have a carrying case. We also got them for a great price.

Let's be honest - bought these because they look good, had a decent reputation, and were on a great sale. Looks didn't disappoint ... gloss shows fingerprints, but they wipe easily and doesn't seem to scratch too easily. Sound is better than I expected ... they're tuned down to emphasize the bass, but that was a known factor. They sound good with rap, rock, pop and even classic rock. Jazz and classical can sound a bit off, but it wasn't too bad. Bottomline, for the music I listen to and the price I got, these can't be beat (HA).
