I just got myself a pair of these after spending hours reading reviews. STOP READING REVIEWS NOW! These new generation Dr. Beats do NOT have the same breaking issue as the previous. I can bend and contort these as much as I want. The sound, it's great. I listen to some hip-hop and rap, but mostly rock. I think these make rock sound incredible. I can feel the drums (double bass = incredible). As a drummer, this is great. And for hip-hop or rap, they sound great as well. Same for dance/electronic/dub step. I'm no audiophile, but the mids and highs sound great. Anyone saying otherwise is being ridiculous. I haven't listened to much classical on these, but so far it's fine. But if you are getting these and you listen to classical more than anything else, then you clearly aren't the brightest person. Style. Obviously they look good. The travel case is good. The way the headphones fold is great too. Nice and compact for traveling. Comfort. I've had mine on at all times since I bought them. Very comfortable. I'll play video games and just turn on my iPod with these so I can use them. Never got uncomfortable. The last thing I'll say is these keep the sound in VERY well. If I have these on, I can't hear anything. I've missed phone calls because of these. And my office mate has had to throw paper at me to get my attention sometimes. And not because I'm blasting the music, they just do that good of a job keeping noise out. I use them when I play drums instead of earplugs now. All in all, if you have $200 (I got them for $180 on sale, w00t) you are willing to spend, I'd say these will be just fine. I'm really glad I stopped reading every review on every website and just went and got them. Even if you dont have $200 off the bat, there is a 6 month financing option. And to be safe, get the $30 insurance in case ANYTHING happens to them. User error or otherwise.

Great pair of headphones to have for personal use.

Beats are not the best headphones in the world. But if you want to follow the trend and be just like everyone else they go ahead and get your self a pair of beat headphones. Never has there ever been any easier way to become a Normie

The headphones (Christmas gift) had to be replaced because the wiring into the headphone was intermittant. The wires had to be held and turned slightly to make contact. You would expect headphones this expensive to have better quality control.

I have had these headphones since last xmas. And they really are great headphones. If your more into bass, hip hop, rap, etc. then you should pick these up. The sound quality is nice. My only complaint about the headset is the price. I dont think these headphones should cost $200... I really dont. max... $150... but besides the price the headphones are pretty durable. comfortable.( no more than 2.5 hours then starts getting a lil akward.) Read the other review about them breaking.. well if your not very careful with your electronic devices you pay good money for than you should not buy them. Ofcouse they are going to break if you dont take care of them! these are pretty well manufactured with the packaging and all around appearance. Therefore if you got the money, why not? good headset.

Best Headphones I have ever owned. I listen to music a lot during my drawing classes and I was looking for a great sounding headphone that looked good and felt good. These headphones fit all my requirements. I know people have had problems with these headphones breaking in the folding joint area so I bought the 2 year warranty for them; however I have not had a problem with these feeling flimsy or fragile. I would still be careful with them though. As far as music genres I listen to a lot of different types but mainly Hard rock, metal and screamo. These headphones preform excellent with all types. I've run them with opera, country, classical, oldies, classic rock, rock, hard rock, metal, and screamo, and even straight instrumental, then there is hip hop and rap that these headphones were made for. Some bands that I used were Screamo: A Day to remember, Bullet for my Valentine, and Devil Wears Prada. Hard rock/metal: Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Korn, Godsmack. Classic rock: Foreigner, Queen, Iron Butterfly, Billy Idol. Hip Hop/Rap: Eminem, DMX, Linkin Park, Young Jeezy. Intrumental: Sandstorm, apocalyptica, In a Godda Divida, and some techno. As for comfort goes these are very comfortable, I have super sensitive ears and need something that i can wear for long periods of time. If your going off headphones on a best buy display, just know that those have been broken in and aren't as tight as new ones. I could only wear mine for about 10 min before my ears hurt but after i got used to them and they broke in I can wear them for hours. I rated price only 4 stars cause these are pretty expensive, I would like to see them at around $150 cause they put a dent in you wallet but other than that Defiantly worth the money. The last thing. If you have downloaded songs that aren't from itunes and are not as good of quality you will notice it. They will be staticy.

Great styling on the headphones, but if you are not into style, Monster makes these headphones and the less expensive, non Dre-branded headphones are a better value.

I was excited to receive this product. As soon as I tried it on, I realized it was faulty. No sound was produced by the right speaker. I tried switching sides while wearing and confirmed the defect. I tried various aux cables too. Same problem. Took it back to BestBuy who said I needed to contact beats customer service directly. Called Beats, performed all the troubleshooting for them and got details on getting a replacement. Here is the summary: 1. Pay your own shipping to send it back 2. Wait 3-4 weeks for approval and ship back 3. No guarantee of getting same product 4. Product shipped back will be refurbished So for all my excitement about owning a beats product, I now have a refurbished unit that is not the same as the one I originally ordered and does not fit well.

Bought as Christmas gift on sale not bad price. Not impressed with sound quality. Becomes distorted as play louder. There are better headphones out there.
