Great Phones, but You have to be smart!

OKay, so I bought these nearly a year ago, and let me say WOW. These are great headphones, but I'm glad I waited to write a review about them so I could pass on some knowledge to you folks looking to buy them. I really wanted to give these a five but there are a couple of quarks you should know about. Firstly, they are pretty fragile. So make sure you use your case, and make sure you unplug the cord when you store the headphones. and Secondly and most importantly GET THE WARRANTY!. I bought the warranty on a whim and it was the best decision. I got the two year warranty for 20$. My headphones broke(the earpieces get a little wobbly and can pop out). and because I had a warranty they gave me a brand new set. If you buy these with a warranty you can potential get a new set of Beats every two years for the rest of your life for about 20$ a pop, because you can get a new warranty on new Headphones. Lastly I just want to say that these are not the most comfortable headphones in the world. If it is in your budget I would recommend getting the bigger kind. But if not these are great and you will love them. So to sum up: Great headphones (amazing sound quality) Get the Warranty so you don't have to worry about them being fragile(which they are). They are pretty comfortable but after a few hours your ears can get a little sore(which can happen with any headphones).

You can not go wrong with these headphones. The sound quality is just amazing. I actually compared them with the Bose over the ear headphones, and they just didn't compare. The Beats have great crystal clear sound with great bass. They also work very well to block out background noise. I love the built in microphone and built in controls for controlling music, volume, and answering calls. The microphone allows me to make calls straight from my iPod, which is what I use for music. The cleaning cloth is nice to have, because fingerprints tend to stand out. And the case that is included is perfect for storing the headphones to ensure no scratches and is great for traveling. Overall, great quality as well as great features. Worth every penny.

I got the Beats Solo HD yesterday morning for Christmas. I first noticed that the packaging of the product was very very good, no chance of it getting harmed furing shipping. I put them on, and turned on some music. I immidiately noticed that the sound quailty was extremely good, much better than my $300 skullcandy. The bass is pretty good I have to say, I was impressed, I can be a bit of an audio file so I thought I wouldnt be as impressed as I was. Yes, the price is a bit steap for these headpones, but I would buy them again in a heartbeat. Very good quality and they look pretty good(mine are white). I would definately recomend to a friend. You wont be dissapointed just watch out where you buy them, always buy from major name brand stores because counterfiets are extremely common! Thanks for reading! Hope this helped!

    Great Sound, High Price Tag

These headphones are great for those willing to spend the extra money. They are portable because they fold, they are somewhat noise cancelling, and they are loud enough to satisfy most listening conditions. Although they have great sound, the Sony MDR 700 is just as good but for half the price, although the mdr 700 is much larger and do not fold. the cord is not removable and it isnt really suited for on the go users although they have great sound and bass.

look, the beats are great. their stylish and the sound great. everyone complains about the price. beats are the most popular headphone on the planet. of course their gonna cost a bundle. everyone complains about the durability. if you take care of your beats and dont freak out if something comes loose, then no harm done. the ear pieces keep popping off on mine, but i can easily put them back on. they are comfortable, but if you wear glasses alot, you may not like these. in conclusion, beats are beast

Great sound quality but horrible design

The solos produce an incredible sound quality. The bass is impeccable and all genres of music sound great. I had two main issues with these headphones though: 1) Within 10 minutes of wearing them I would start to feel them getting tighter around my head and after 45 minutes I would have to take them off because of the pain. 2) The ear muffs on these headphones have a horrible design. By overdoing the complexity and having them pivot and rotate in every possible direction they ruined them. I noticed that my right ear muff would have a creaking sound that eventually was constantly overwhelming the music. I had to exchange that pair for a new pair. To no surprise the new pair had the same issue but with the left ear muff. I eventually ended up returning them completely. These headphones are overpriced and are not worth the money by any means. These headphones taught me one thing: don't buy into a new product on the market unless you're 100% certain they are good quality. In my opinion, stick to the companies that have been around for years and have more experience like Bose and Sony.

I bought beats by dre solo hd yesterday I love them they have great bass and if you listen to them when the volume is all the way up it gives you a headache .i listen to mostly rap and hip hop and beats by dre are great for that.and get the white!!! They are way fresher than th black or the red .and I would recommend the solos instead of stoidios they sound similar and just my opinion the solos have more bass and are more stylish to wear around your neck

These headphones are amazing! if you dont have the extra cash for the Studios these are an excellent alternative. although they are expensive i believe they are worth the price. A few problems though is i am actually on my 3rd set of them sooo the built quality isnt all that fantastic. the rubber headband piece has popped off numerous times and the headphone adjuster seems to slide down frequently. but the Pros out weigh the cons

The Beats are really good headphones. The sound quality is very high and the design is nice. I was skeptical about how they would feel after a long time listening to music but they are very comfortable. The case that comes with it makes for very good storage space for them when not in use. These were a very good investment for me! The sound canceling is outstanding.

These headphones are a great everyday thing in my life. Whether its before school, after school, sometimes during school. The bass can really pack a punch and you won't have to worry about your speakers blowing either. I've done several bass tests on these headphones that other headphones could most likely not handle, and they still sound and operate perfect. Definite buy if you have the money. Can't wait to upgrade to the pros though. One bit of advice, if you're gonna CONSTANTLY have the volume cranked to the max, you may experience some distortion and other problems. Just keep it at a safe volume, a little less than the highest will be fine.

These over ear headphones are incomparable to any other headsets. Even if people say that don't think they look goo to walk around in still buy they are awesome. These stand up to the beats name and monster. Also 2 cables included. My first Beats purchase was the beats broke within 2 days not worth the money but these are very durable and they sound like you Are actually in a concert

    Literally mindblowing

Wow, what to say about these headphones. First off, I love beats by dre and I will defend them forever in the Beats Vs. Bose debate. Bose are a little more airy but cannot match the sound, the bass, or the looks of beats. When I first bought these for myself as a Christmas gift I opened them up and was like, "Huh, I thought theyd be bigger". Anyways when I put them on, the first thing I did was play the song "Low" by ludacris. IT WAS MIND BLOWING!!! It felt like if you put the palms of both your hands on your ears. That is about the only I can explain it. The bass is game changing, the highs are clear as a bell, and the mids are sharp. No matter how loud you have them you will always have crystal clear sound quality and NO STATIC. They let you hear what I call "super-lows" or things you CANNOT hear on regular headphones. When I went to school the next day I wore them and I saw tons of people staring at me. I had many people ask if they could buy them off of me and an uncountable amount of people ask if they could listen to them. I actually got kind of scared that someone would try to steal them when I wasn't looking. I have had them about 7 months now and just last week my last cordd frayed. I still can listen to them but it only comes out of one ear( and yet they still are better than any other headphones I have ever listened to) and I plan on replacing them ASAP. The ONLY thing I can complain about is that YOU MUST BE SURE TO BUY THEM AT A OFFICIAL STORE. there are allot of imitators of them out there. If you go on the "Beats by Dre" website they have a clear warning against it. If you read ANY bad reviews about ANY beats product you can pretty much guarantee they are frauds. They came with a travel case, 2 replacement cords, and a cleaning strip( which I love and use on all types of electronic screens). The travel case is made of very soft materials and I love because it can carry my phone, 2 cords and the Beats themselves, and can still fit inside my pocket. They are kinda small, they fit ON your ears not over them, and they can fold down (which I think is pretty neat) to a very small half circle. For Android users, I also have a special treat. I downloaded an app called "POWER AMP" that allows you to tweak the hertz and mess with how deep the bass is or how high you highs are. For regular headphones you cant turn the treble or bass up past half or all you can hear is a noise that sounds like a computer haveing a stroke. With the Beats, you can have the max media volume, the max bass and treble settings and your still will have crystal clear layering of sound. No static, no distortion of anything( Not to mention bass you can rattle your head. I once had to itch my throat while I was wearing them and I could feel the bass vibrating through my skull. Also I love the sound isolation you get from them.I literally had them maxed out and my friend who was sitting next to me in class could not hear them at all. Once I took them off the rest of the class turned around and looked at me because the music was so loud. I love these headphones more than any other audio device I have ever used. They are mind blowing and I would recomend them to anyone in a second. The price is a steal and you get more than you deserve for their price.

    Good bass, but poor treble

I picked these Solo HD's up at my local Best Buy store last weekend. I had been considering buying a pair for a few months before I actually bought them, and I finally made the decision. Overall, my first week's impression of them is pretty good. These headphones deliver rich, deep bass, despite the fact that some people say the bass is not sufficient enough. I think it is. However, the treble is not so great. This can make your music sound a bit muddy, but I quickly found out that I could pretty much fix the problem by playing with the equalizer on my iTunes, by cranking the high frequencies. Still though, this needs to be fixed on future versions of Beats headphones. I know they have been trying to fix the treble and midrange problems (seems to me like the mids are pretty good), so they just need to keep working at it. Overall, I guess I would say that I would recommend them, but if you are an audiophile looking for the absolute BEST headphones out there, these are not for you. For the average listener, they will do fine.
