These headphones make the music sound like no other headphones could. So crisp and clean!!!!!!!!

Best headphones I have heard, block out the external sounds terrific. cheaply built otherwise. Cables break, plastic breaks easily, head lining falls out. We have returned numerous pairs. Next time we replace them with Bose.

These headphones are so cool. I've had them for about 2 and a half weeks. The sound quality is amazing. They sound like subwoofers are in the headphones the way the bass hits so hard. I love these headphones and recommend them to anyone who loves listening to music. The noise cancellation is also a plus because it help keeps the music sounding crisp and nice. They are worth every penny to me.

Well first of i got this free my english teacher broke my original solo's and went ot best buy and got me the HD's but i forgot to tell him i had the guarantee and i went to go exchange my white solo's for a new pair!! so i got white solo and black solo hd yeah me!! but they sound the same no difference! except a little when i listen to techno and rock! but i mostly have reggeaton and hip hop! dont like the glossy surface cuz its a thumb print magnet!! but o well thier still nice and good!

With the right songs - and with your equalizer set to minimize the bass - these headphones sound great. They block out a ton of noise (not as much as the Bose 15's, but more than nearly any other style I tried in this price range), and you really get a lot of depth and detail in the music. That said, I found that I really needed the equalizer in iTunes set to "treble booster" or "bass reducer" or something similar, or else these were just painful to wear for extended periods due to the heavy, heavy bass. It would have been OK, except that there is no equalizer for Pandora on iPhone - so I was stuck with way too much bass, and no way to change it. So, if you like really, really heavy bass, these might be perfect. Otherwise, I'd check out the ($300) Bose 15's, B&W's - or do what I did and pick up a pair of Skullcandy Skullcrushers. The bass is optional, and they're a lot less expensive, and they also block out a ton of office noise (which is half the issue in getting your music to sound good). True, they don't sound as good as the Beats. But I simply couldn't deal with the bass. One more note - the Beats don't seem like the most durable headphones, especially the way they fold up. I've read that the previous models snapped a lot - that seems to have been fixed somewhat with the HD's, but there may still be issues. I would recommend the Best Buy warranty on these because of that.

The sound is great, studio is better but i like the size of the solo's. Could be a touch cheaper or go on sale once in awhile. I just got them , so i hope the quality improvements they made are as good as i heard, so far i love them.

This item was a birthday present for my 18 yr old daughter. She just loves them. The Beats by Dr. Dre have replaced her headphones for listening to music, playing on the Xbox and a lot more. The only down side is now my youngest daughter is turning 12 at the end of March and now she wants a pair.

I'm a sound engineer & have tried dozens & dozens of headphones. I'm always interested in trying new gear to see if I can find anything to surplant my classic Sony Studio Pro MDR-V6, Sennheisers or Audio Technica headphones. While these are decent sounding headphones, compared to other headphones in the same price range, made by truly reputable headphone makers, these fall short sound quality-wise. On a scale of 1-10 these would rate about a 7. You can get headphones that rate an 8 or 9 for less. Most people are used to your average department store headphone (skullcandy, etc) & compared to those, these sound much better, however if you compared these to truly good headphones then you'd hear what you're missing. These have a strong bass response but are lacking elsewhere. The bass is overwhelming & you miss a good part of the rest of the spectrum. (mids & highs) Apparently young listeners think a strong bass equates to great sound quality. They don't know what they are missing. If bass & style is all you care about, & you're ok with over spending for a brand, go ahead & get them. If you want the best sound for the price & don't care about what your peers think, you can get better & more natural sounding headphones for less, probably half as much. The whole family wants a pair now. GREAT sound. I don't usually spend this much on headphones but if they last out the year they are so worth it. Completely blocks out all outside sound, you'll find yourself singing so loud the neighbors will hear you.

As on-th-ear phones these have a great sound reduction level. On a 4 hour airplane trip, ambient noise was not detectable.

These are good headphones for their size but they are awfully overprized and they dont last along time.... I bought mine in February and the soft part of the headband just came of (i think the glue melted). Also i was listening to a song and then a woman started singing all of a sudden it sounded as if the headphones had popped... Overall they sound really good but the built quality is not that great......

I bought these head phones for my 13 yr old son. They were a little pricy for a 13 yr old but he really seems to enjoy them. Great quality and sound.

this is the best set of headphones i have ever purchased. I can't believe best buy was selling them for such a killer price for christmas.....I'm glad i saw the e-mail and reserved them online for store pick up since they were sold out everywhere with in a few hours...... If they ever go on sale again do yourself a favor and just spend the money, it will be money well spent.

WOW!!! I've tested these and others in the same price range. I purchased these after I was made a offer I didnt want to refuse and I am thoroughly satisfied. I immediately noticed sound quality aspects that I didnt get from my other headphones. As a musician and sound engineer Im looking forward to using these often. Now I see what the hype is all about.

I love these headphones sound is great I don't think they will break as easy as some say but I will be careful with them anyway love the color too I am very pleased with them

Hello. I know you probably will skim right over this review because you don't want to hear that these headphones are bad. But please, just read this. I got these with my birthday money in June. I was so excited that I was bouncing up and down in the car. And I would like to say, the sound quality was top notch. I loved these. But, a couple days later, I would barely touch the earcups and they would make a weird creaking noise. I exchanged them, thinking I just got a bad pair. Well, they creaked too. So, the day I went to exchange them, the left ear stopped working. And I tried both cables on two different devices. So, I returned them and got an iPod instead. I went through two pairs of these in 6 days. I was extremely careful with them. The sound quality was incredible, the best I'd ever had. But the durability was horrible. I expected much more for $200 headphones. Very disappointed.
