These are good looking headphones but not the best sound quality. I think they are overpriced but they do offer great bass. I would recommend looking into the Bose Ae2 which are more comfortable and have better sound quality for 50 bucks less, but I still use these once in a while because I like the way they look.

These are way better than the souls by ludacris and they don't break easily like every other comment says, these are one of the best headphones for $200

I bought it for my sister. She is happy now. It sounds great. She walk with it, she eat with it, she does homework with it, she ever sleep with it!

Nice sound for those listeners who want more bass and not a balance sound. Listening too long can cause headache.

ok dont get me wrong these headphones are to talk of the town i had a pair of the Beats by Dr Dre Studio Ruby Black With Red Diamond Headphones which got stolen so i didnt have enough to replace them so i got these and i was disappointed if your mixing and mastering on pro tools dont buy ... even for use with reason but if your just looking for some headphones to play music on your ipad mini or phone and got some extra cash pick em up but dont try and create music or mix and master with these bad boyz

These headphones are great! I use them when I work out or just listining to music or watching movies... The sound Quality is great!

I write this review to forewarn you about Beats By Dre, by Monster, as a brand and headphone line. While they are nice sounding headphones, compared to other headphones in the same price range made by truly reputable long running headphone makers, these fall short sound quality-wise. (AKG, Grado, Sennheisers that cost more than $200, Audio-Technica, Sony Studio Pros) On a scale of 1-10 these would rate about a 6.5 or 7. Most people are used to your run-of-the-mill department store headphones (skullcandy, sony, white apple earbuds, etc) and compared to those, these sound worlds better, however if you compared these to truly good headphones then you'd hear what you're missing. These have a good bass response but are lacking elsewhere. These are just highly marketed to a specific segment of the population to fool you into thinking you're getting the best money can buy. Don't believe the hype. Read a reputable headphone/audio forum, such as head-fi or audioholics, and you'll see the overwhelming negative opinions by people who both, KNOW audio and don't fall for the marketing and peer blitz. If bass and style is all you care about, and over spending for headphones is your thing, then go ahead and get them. If you want the best sound for the price and don't care about style and image then you can get comparably sounding headphones for less, probably half as much. These are the best headphones i've ever owned. $180 - 200 is kinda pricey. But it is worth it. The carrying case is great. It protects very well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great purchase. I say get the green apple Beats.

Got these at a great price on a deal of the day. My tween daughter uses them daily and I like how the cord can be removed and the headphones folded for travel. They were still a bit pricey, but she had been going through many pairs of cheaper earbuds...when I add up all the pairs she used already it would equal the cost of these! Would definitely recommend and may purchase a set for myself if on sale again.

Let me start out by saying that I am not writing a negative review because of a bias against Beats by Dre. In all actuality, I really like the brand and I have multiple products from them. However, these headphones are disgraceful. I wish I could point out something about these cans that might make them worth buying, but sadly, I cannot. I'll break down the review into terms of sound quality (lows/mids/highs), comfort, and durability. Then, I'll add some additional comments at the end. Lows: A lot of bass, but not in a good way. Very muddy, uncontrolled, and overpowering. Destroys the rest of the music. Mids: Practically nonexistent because the bass is too busy drowning it out. Highs: Sound very distant at normal volumes, almost as if your in a large room with echoes. At high volumes, can be very harsh. Comfort: Very lightweight. After long periods of listening your ears will get quite sore and the discomfort really does grow on you quickly. Also, the headband is not padded very well. Durability: If it's possible to have something worse than the sound quality, this is it. You could be the most gentle person in the world and chances are that these will still break. Simply taking them off of your head will sometimes snap them in half. Awful. A joke. I suppose the only thing that can salvage these headphones is style, the cable (phone/mp3 compatible playback/call buttons), and the portability. These still cannot make up for the awful sound reproduction and build quality that stick out like a sore, beaten, stepped on, run over, thumb. If you're about to drop $200 on a pair of on-ear headphones, save yourself $40-$80 and get the SOL Republic Tracks HD or the Klipsch Image One On-Ear Headphones. Once again, I am not writing this to bash Beats by Dre in anyway. I'm writing this to try and save everybody some time and money.
