Worked fine at first. Now it won't sync to my iphone anymore. I have to bring it back to Best Buy. Get the insurance if you buy one of these.

I think those who gave the pill negative reviews for sound quality had unreal expectations....it's not a home theater system! I bought the pill to play music in my office because computer speakers suck & my iPhone doesn't have great sound for all day listening, neither are even in the same class as the pill. Everyone in my office not only thought it was cool but sounded great. Bought the matching guy to hold the pill & love him as well!

I purchased this product for my daughter for Christmas. I always wondered what all the hype was about and now I know! This is our first beats product. When I turned it on, I was taken aback at how crisp and clear the sound is. It also has nice range so you can hear it very well in another room. Love it and now I am going to buy one for myself.

    Excellent Sound in Small Package

This is an excellent speaker. I have the 2.0 Beats Pill, which is the newest "non-Monster" version. The other ones on the site may be the old ones that were originally created by Monster with the Beats name instead of the Beats Electronics pills. I was able to pair this with my iPhone within 10 seconds of turning it on. It also lets me customize the name of the device in case I have multiple pills. The sound it puts out for its size is simply amazing. I love that the Beats button on the front allows me to adjust the tracks, pause/stop, and pair a new device. I love the form factor that allows me to put it anywhere I want with no problems. I ran into two small issues I would love to see Beats resolve with a firmware update, and if they do this would be a 5-star review. First, when I unplug the pill while playing, it stops the music and I have to start it again. Second is the volume control; the physical volume control buttons on the Pill should also adjust the iPhone's volume simultaneously. This is functionally how the Beats Studio Wireless headphones work, and I'd like them to replicate this capability to the Pill.

    Got for $30, still disappointed.

I got this through AT&T for about $30 because of my parents dinosaur contract and a special they had going on. I have to say that was probably one of the worst decisions I have ever made. First impressions: All two stars of this review go to the fact that the packaging is sweet and the actual device is gorgeous, has a great feel in the hand, the carrying sleeve is convenient, and it's pretty light. The Audio: Incredibly enough, this speaker has managed to have almost no redeemable qualities in the audio department. The Studios sound like garbage, but the bass is incredible. Not only does this sound bad, but it's also got literally no bass output. The thing is insanely tinny, I listen to metal, some rap, and some pop. Amazingly enough, none of these genres shined on this speaker. To top this off, the only way this device even seems loud is by the fact that it distorts so badly your ears start shrieking for help. Battery Life: Eh, playing at a decent volume it got about 2.5 to 3 hours. Not the greatest, but not awful either. Range: This is literally only valid for maybe 15 feet. When I noticed that it cracked at a little ways away I died. Also, want to walk through a door? Nope. Garbage range, seriously. How'd it hold up: Well, the speaker grills fell off on their own about a month in. The quality of sound got worse and worse, the battery life followed suit. Eventually the thing decided it would only hold a Bluetooth connection for a couple songs at a time. Long story short, it fell apart faster than an indy car on impact with a wall. I was almost impressed. Overall: Typical Beats, mediocre product that justifies it's price tag with insane amounts of "swag". You want to buy it to look good? Go for it. You want decent sound? Get a Bose Soundlink Color, a JBL Charge, or even a TDK. You want decent battery life and range? Get a Sol Republic Deck.

I think that the Beats Pill by Dr. Dre is a great audio system. It has 4 built in bass durable speakers and it's very light to carry around.

    Amazing Bluetooth Speaker For Anyone

This Speaker is A great product the beats pill 2.0 is one of the best purchases i have made this year. I do suggest getting the warranty on this product just because they have said that if you play the pill at max volume all the time the speakers could go out so in that case you would be able to get a new one without paying for a new one. Very Easy to carry around with you fits in your hand well
