The reason why I would not recommend these to a friend is because they are not comfortable at all. I think they are over priced because they don't show what a pair of $250 pair of headphones should feel like I have had the solo's,studio's and now the mixr's and the mixer's have been the absolute worst. They were so bad I wore them for about 6 hours and then took them back. They hurt my head and my ears and it really just disappointed me.

I write this review to forewarn you about Beats By Dre, by Monster, as a brand and headphone line. While they are nice sounding headphones, compared to other headphones in the same price range, made by truly reputable, long running headphone makers, these fall short sound quality-wise. (AKG, Grado, Sennheisers that cost more than $200, Audio-Technica, Sony Studio Pros) On a scale of 1-10 these would rate about a 6.5 or 7. Most people are used to your run of the mill department store headphones (skullcandy, sony, etc) and compared to those, these sound worlds better, however if you compared these to truly good headphones then you'd hear what you're missing. These have a good bass response but are lacking elsewhere. These are just highly marketed to a specific segment of the population to fool you into thinking you're getting the best money can buy. Don't believe the hype. If bass and style is all you care about, and over spending for headphones is your thing, then go ahead and get them. If you want the best sound for the price and don't care about style and image then you can get comparably sounding headphones for less, probably half as much. Greatest sounding headphones i have ever used. Well worth the money

First off, I own almost all of the different models of Beats Headphones and I have to say these really aren't good. I much prefer my Studios or my Solo HDs. The sound is amazing, but after a while I got a headache from wearing them. They really arent worth it. Go pick up a pair of solo HDs, you will be glad you did.

Got these today after a bad experience with another brand (The Jays). The sound is great and the mic/vol controls work very well with iPhone 5. Although this product is not advertized as noise-cancelling, the sound shuts everything out amazingly.

I have the Beats pro's in white and black. The ear cushions on those are really comfortable compared to these. The only thing I liked about these headphones were the price and how light it is. The bass isn't anything compared to the pros.

These have great sound, but wow are they ever tight and I dont have a very big head for a girl. They press my ears so hard that they start to hurt. I hope they strech out a little with time.

the mixr beats by dr dre are good headphones. its just that they do not go over your ears so they put lots of presure on your ears and after a while of listening to them it hurts your ears. but the sound quality is good.

Bought these on 7April13, enjoyed them till 15th April. But while I was overseas, the headband broke from a joint!!!! There's another joint on the other side too - don't know why that is needed ... If I pay $267 for headphones, I want them to last. So despite great sound, I give a POOR overall rating. But wait there's more ... Best Buy sympathy was rather low for this event. I was overseas till 22May13. The day after I landed, I took these back to the Sunnyvale CA best buy with my passport to prove that I was indeed out of the country till the day before. But no use. The manager politely told me that I had to take it up with the manufacturer. So I am unhappy with the service from a (usually) good store and am unhappy with the high end product too. Hopefully Best Buy or Beats folks read this review and offer to make this right for me.

Well worth the price. The ability to fold the ear pieces is also an added advantage.

Consider this the middle tier level of the Beats headset line up. It's not the best, but not the worst. The sound quality is great. The microphone and sound control make it convenient for phone calls. The structure and material of this headset is far better than the plastic basic set. This headset is not comfortable when used for extended period of time. Its very snug and presses tight against the ear. At the end of the day its an "ok" headset, but definitely VERY overpriced for what you get.

I bought these headphones and immediately fell in love with them. The sound was great and I got over the tight fit. Then I met a dj who had them and complained about the ear pad falling off. Lo and behold 3 days later mine started to come off. I had them for a WEEK!! I was so incredibly disappointed because for 250$ plus tax I expected much better. I'm very hesitant about trying my luck with beats again

When i first got them they were pretty stif and hurt my ears after a long time of use. But my ears got used to it and i have loved them ever sense.

I was very excited to get these for my birthday but after just 2 weeks of listening daily, I took them back. Right away, within the first 10 minutes of wearing them, my ears killed. They're designed to fit very snuggly but the cushion is not very comfortable, especially if your listening sessions are over long periods of time. I had to use them in 20 min intervals because I would get a headache every time. I must admit I wanted these primarily for the brand name and how they looked, but there's no doubt in my mind that there are many headphones out there that are far cheaper and have extraordinarily better overall sound quality. Basically the only difference between these and cheap headphones is you can hear the bass a bit more and the sound volume can be turned up way more - but that's about it. I really do not recommend these to anyone - very poor quality especially for the price. Just go to any gadget store and sample different headphones and you will notice instantly that the quality of these headphones do no match up!

My son got these 2 years ago and they only lasted 18 months before the headband, made of a very thin and flimsy plastic material, snapped in half. They are out of warranty so the manufacturer gave an estimate of over $147 to repair them. That won't be happening. Also, the earcups were uncomfortable and my son couldn't wear them for more than half an hour. For the price, this is not a good value at all.

I bought this for my little brother birthday gift & he absolutely loved it!

Guys, Dont buy these headphones. They are so uncomfortable and they really are not good.
