The battery last for about 4 hours (at max volume) from %100, so keeping it charged is a must for me . But the sound and bass is great.

The Beats Pill is an incredible portable speaker, that provides amazing sound quality with some top-tier features. Right out of the box, the Beats Pill feels very sleek and well-made. It has a nice build quality, and the materials used feel absolutely great in the hand. Size-wise, it's not too large, and is just the right size to use on the go. Even though it has a relatively small footprint, the sound it produces is large and impressive. Included with the Beats Pill is a USB-C to USB-C cable, a lanyard that can attach to the speaker, some documentation, and Beats stickers. The Beats Pill is also water and dustproof, so I wasn't worried about using it outside during my testing. Set up with my iPhone took no time at all. All I had to do was turn on the Beats Pill, and hold my phone near it; it’s pretty much that simple, with the pairing process being much smoother than most Bluetooth devices. I tested the Beats Pill primarily in Bluetooth mode, but it is awesome that you can connect your phone with a cable to play lossless media. Since I have an iPhone, I can’t speak to the ease of pairing with an Android device, but the box states that it is compatible, so I would suspect the process is easy as well. Not only can you play lossless media, but when using a cable, you can charge your phone from the Beats Pill. Additionally, you can use your phone to charge the Beats Pill, if needed. Speaking of charging, the Beats Pill has amazing battery life, with a stated 24-hour all-day battery life. I found this to be accurate, and it is great to not have to charge up the Beats Pill very frequently, especially when I’m using it outside of the house. For such a small speaker, I found the sound quality to be incredible. The Beats Pill did a stellar job of playing a wide range of content, with music from rock, hip-hop, reggae, metal, and pop genres. (For testing my media files were either 320 kbps MP3, or Apple Lossless, all played via Bluetooth). The bass packs a decent punch, with the woofer moving quite a bit of air. The mids and highs came through crystal clear, thanks to the separate tweeter. I was able to turn it up to full blast, and did not notice any distortion. While I don’t know if this would be enough sound for a large party, it was plenty loud enough to entertain a group of people in a small space. The controls on the Beats Pill are very straightforward, and easy to use. One thing I couldn’t quite figure out was how to turn off the speaker. After doing some searching online, it turns out that you have to hold the power button for about 2 seconds, and then let go. This will turn the Beats Pill off. Otherwise, if you keep holding the power button, it will go into pairing mode. This is a little bit confusing, and probably the only thing I don’t like about the Beats Pill. Besides that one small critique, I think that the Beats Pill is an excellent Bluetooth speaker with a phenomenal sound, perfect for small gatherings. The build quality is exceptional, and I love how good my music sounds on the impressive woofer and tweeter combo. I also appreciate the functionality of being able to charge my phone with the cable, and the all-day battery life of the Beats Pill is perfect for time spent on the go. I would highly recommend the Beats Pill to anyone looking for a fun, stylish, and great-sounding Bluetooth speaker that will impress anyone who hears it!

Absolutely love the redesigned Beats Pill, an update to this product was long overdue and it works wonderfully. Stereo functionality works great when pairing two speakers together, and a native experience on both iOS and Android is a nice touch for people with both types of devices like myself.

Sounds louder than it is. Gives a great power on boom but it's mediocre with continuous play. The Power on button is a bit confusing with powering on/off.

Pretty amazing. 4 stars is being picky as a coach who needed a speaker for workouts and it’s just not quite loud enough for the weight room.

Considering the price point, this product is excellent. My only suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the bass response.

In the box is the speaker and a USB-C to USB-C charging cord, a QR quick start code, an Apple Music 3 month free trial. First impression - I love the champagne gold color and the size of the speaker. It is a little heavy but it’s a good size and I can’t wait to hear the sound. Disclaimer. I own quite a few smaller speakers and this is my first ever Beats product. Also, I am part of the eco system and I was able to test the phone, tablet, watch. Right out of the box, I decided to charge my phone since I saw on one of the handouts that I could charge devices with the speaker. I was able to get from 20 percent to 66 percent with the charge of the pill right out of the box. After that, I charged the pill and it completely charged in about 2-3 hours and began to listen. I would like to note that the pill is a little heavy, so if you are traveling, I would put it in my carry on versus a check bag to save on the weight. Also, you are able to charge with the pill, so it would be a great idea to keep close to you for an extra portable battery. Sound - The sound to me is really good. The pill holds the songs with bass well and it I must say that you can turn the pill all the way up or leave it at 50 percent and it still sounds good. For longer battery life, I definitely recommend the lower volume but if battery life is not an issue, turn it up! Connectivity - This is hands down the best feature for me. I have used a lot of portable speakers in the past couple of years and I ALWAYS have a problem with fighting other family members for control of other speakers. With the pill, once you connect, you can seamlessly connect to another device. So far, I have connected to 3 devices at once. I was playing music on one and wanted to take a call on another. I was able to answer the call and switch over to the other device by pressing the pill symbol in my call setting. Calls - So far, calls on the speakerphone have been really good. A lot of people didn’t even realize that I was not using my actual phone. They said that I sounded like I was talking with my phone. Battery Life - When I used the speaker and taking calls with the speakerphone at 100 percent volume, I got about 6-8 hours of battery life. Using the speaker with lower volume did indeed help with the battery life as I was able to use my pill for 2 work days (8 hour days) with one charge. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and I would highly recommend this product to friends and family.
