The speaker had a terrible audio quality if you compare it with a ue wonderboom 2 (this product was 65dlls and not 150dlls) honestly i exchange it for a Boom 4 same price better sound.

Full disclosure – I have an Android Phone and a Microsoft Windows Personal Computer, but I do appreciate the look, feel, and simple interface that Apple related products have. A glass of wine always seems to taste better in a stemmed glass rather than a paper cup – even if it came out of a box. Packaging of the product was top shelf as would be expected. I chose the champagne color option rather than red or black, with some hesitation, although after receiving it, I am happy with that color choice. The speaker itself has good heft to it and appears to have a metal case with a rubberized covering that feels great in your hands when you pick it up. While I cannot say how well it hold up over time, it makes a nice impression. Instructions are minimal and largely intuitive. Additional information is available online via scanning a QR Code. After fully charging the speaker before use, it paired with both my Samsung Galaxy S22+ phone, as well as my new Sony Walkman digital music player. If paired to your phone, and a call comes in, it is a simple single press of the center button on the speaker to answer the call without touching your phone. This allows you to talk and listen while continuing to work on your laptop – if that is what you are doing. Music playback is crisp with decent bass – as would be expected, without distortion except when approaching elevated sound levels. It does have one feature that I have not run across before, that is, it can be used as a battery back up charger for your phone. Just like some EV vehicles can charge your entire house or another EV vehicle. I did not have an opportunity to try this feature, but a USB-C to USB-C cable is included that can be used for that. It does not however come with a power adapter. The most significant “problem” that I may have with the speaker is the lanyard attached to one end of it. The speaker just seems too nice to carry it around and let it possibly bang into things. For now, it will spend its time along side my laptop helping me get my work done – and answering my phone.

I'll admit it, I have long poo-poo'ed the Beats brand both before and after Apple bought it. When the line was launched, I was a hardcore audiophile and the brand was just almost an abomination with flabby bass, shrill highs, and plastic everything. They have gotten better (from my perspective), on almost all of those measures. Their sound profiles now have a bit more nuance, are better controlled, and they don't feel as cheap any more. All that being said, I still wasn't going to get one for me. It was only when my wife saw it that she asked if we could get it for her office. She loves the Champagne Gold color and she wants something 'that just blends' and doesn't stand out as much as my audio gear tends to. I'll admit that the Champagne color IS very nice, and the build quality is solid. Even though this is going to be sitting on her office credenza, I appreciate the IP67 rating. One simple plug for power is nice (though some people might miss an AUX IN - guess we are all in on Bluetooth now), and the integrated controls are easy to find without looking and responsive. I ran the Beats Pill through my 'Audiophile Playlist' that checks everything from frequency response, separation, sibilance, attack, and then just runs through some songs that I know like I know the back of my hand to give a more subjective test. I was impressed with how good the Pill sounded in her office. Even at a relatively low volume (it IS a work environment after all), you get a nice level of sound with an appropriate amount of bass and treble without either getting into their flabby/shrill levels. My wife also likes that she can use it as a speakerphone with Siri. We tried it out with me down the hallway with her and I talking in a normal voice and both of us came through loud and clear. I still prefer earbuds for calls but she hates things in her ears. All-in-all, I came away impressed, and for the price I'm not sure if you could find a better small speaker with the sound/build quality, IP67 rating, and sedate look. The Beats Pill is a great choice if you want a nice speaker that blends in nicely, maintains a rocksteady connection, and sounds really good.

Just to start, this is my first Beats/Apple product of any kind. My wife uses Apple products so that did help me with setting this up. The product came in a nice small package with the instructions and charging cable. The Pill was at 70% charge, according to the app, so I went ahead and topped it off. Once that was done, I connected to the Pill through the app with my Samsung phone. No issues what so ever. First, I played music stored on my phone and that was nice and full. Being a smaller speaker, the bass is slightly lacking but overall, it sounds really nice. The way it sets on the table at an angle helps project the sound out and it easily fills the room. I switched over to streaming music using iHeart Radio. Again, the sound was nice and full but I could tell a small difference which prompted me to bump the volume a notch or two. From here, I started my third party EQ/volume app and wow, this thing started bumping! I picked it up and the whole Pill was vibrating. I turned down the volume a notch and this thing still put our nice, full, loud music that was easy to listen too. I had my phone 2 rooms away at some point and there was zero connection issues. Overall, I like this speaker and will continue to use it. Nice product!

I am conflicted with this speaker because it is a good speaker in a vacuum but we don’t live in a vacuum. I’ll say that being objective using other speakers in this size. Specs: racetrack and tweeter as the speakers 24 hours of battery life IP67 rating USB C port Custom Beats chip As far as connectivity goes it’s Bluetooth 5.3 with easy pairing with Apple iOS and Android though it’s better with Android. I guess because it’s not using Apple’s H1 or H2 chip why but it will connect to your device and then saves in your iCloud account so you don’t have to pair it again. But you’ll need to still connect them in your Bluetooth settings. No multipoint with iOS devices . On Android it supports Google fast pair. You can also connect to two devices between these two. As far as sound goes it has a racetrack woofer and a tweeter. It sounds good but it’s mono not stereo mode. It sounds loud and not muddy so there’s that. But my glaring issue is that at the MSRP $149 these sound good but there is other speakers if you’re not looking at the other big names that are quite a lot cheaper. I’ve seen them in the sub $100 range and they sound great and about the same size. I do think if they are sale they are worth it.

Within minutes of opening the box I connected the Pill to my Android phone via Bluetooth and had music playing. The sound is excellent with enough bass while maintaining clarity in highs and mids. A very pleasant overall sound which is what I would expect. The source was Spotify and Sirius/XM streaming and the genre ranged from Afro Cuban Jazz to Sinatra and light Jazz. There was more than enough volume. Spoken voice via Podcasts was also excellent. The single USB-C port has three functions. 1. Charge the Pill, 2. Charge another device-in this case it was my Android phone and 3. Direct connection to my Windows 11 laptop. ON the laptop it appeared as a speaker and I was able to select it and stream Radio Swiss Jazz without any issue or fuss. This is also the way I could stream lossless,FLAC or AAC audio but I have no subscription for those formats. I was streaming music on my phone and received a phone call. All I had to do was press the multi-function button on the Pill to answer. Audio was clear for me and the calling party. The music is paused during the call. There is an Android ( and I suspect an IOS ) APP which allowed me to manage a few options. This is also the way to add a second speaker or share the speaker with another phone. The APP is not really needed for daily use. It has limited functionally . The Battery status is displayed when connected via BT on my Android phone. A USB-C to USB-C is included but no power brick. I am very pleased with the sound and versatility of the Pill and would recommend to friends and family.

You cannot find a Bluetooth speaker that's easier to use with Apple devices. All I had to do was power on the Pill with my iPhone nearby, and it automatically found my device. All I had to do was select "connect" on the pop-up, and everything was done. The speaker has its own settings category within the settings app when it's powered on and connected. It gets its own little icon in the Apple music app when you're playing through it. And it automatically pairs with all my Apple devices. I didn't even need to pair it with my iPad because it was already paired to my Apple account through my iPhone. All I needed to do was select it to connect from the Bluetooth devices list. Beyond the ease of use, the sound is also quite good for a speaker of this size. Yes, I can find songs with bass that it can't quite handle, but no other speaker of this size could. And the bass that it does handle is pretty good. The highs are crystal clear. The quality of the construction is also good. The rubber part of the exterior is soft but not too soft, making it seem ready to handle a few bumps during use. The buttons are hard to notice unless you're looking for them. It's a very sleek design overall. If you're already invested in the Apple ecosystem, this is probably the best portable Bluetooth speaker for you.

Love this little bluetooth speaker. Pretty simple setup pair it with your bluetooth device and it charges with an included usb c to c cable and wall adapter. It pairs nicely with a pc/laptop, phone or really any other device where you might need bluetooth connection. The battery is really solid I've had it going on and off for i'd say close to 19 hours without needing to charge it but that includes idle time as well. Sound quality is really great on this. I have it at maybe half volume and it feels like it's blowing me away at times already. I can't imagine needing to run this at max volume but maybe if you are using it at a party or something that would be a good use case for it. There are only three buttons very simple volume up, volume down and a power/pairing button. It does have an auto sleep function that is mildly annoying if it doesn't detect any audio playing but I was able to get around this by leaving a silent audio file playing on repeat in the background. Prob a very small use case but would be nice if they would give an option to just turn off the sleep function for those of us that want it. Overall if you are in the market for a bluetooth speaker that packs a punch and really delivers, this is it. At the price point too wow, can't go wrong.

Beats Pill Portable Speaker While earbuds are nice, only you can hear the music you’re listening to, since the earbuds are in your ears. So, when you want to share your music with others, this Beats Pill portable speaker can be a great choice. Connecting this device via Bluetooth is as easy as it gets. Since it’s well-constructed, it’s a tad on the heavy side, which means you probably wouldn’t want to carry this along on your daily walk (that’s where your earbuds really work great). However, it’s nice that it has a carrying strap and it’s still light enough to move around inside and outside your home. That means you have the flexibility to decide where you want to hear your music now, and then change the speaker’s location whenever you want. And since it’s battery operated, there are no electrical plugs to worry about when you want to move it. Besides playing your music, this device can also be used as a portable charging device. It can charge your phone and other USB-C devices using the included cable. Simply insert one end of the cable into the USB slot on the speaker and the other end to the device you want to charge, and it starts charging the connected device. That’s a nice touch. The Beats Pill has a water- and dust-resistant IP67 rating which means that you don’t have to be afraid to take it outside, since a little bit of rain isn’t going to ruin it. And sharing your music with others could make you the life of the party at the pool or other outdoor gathering! My only recommendation for improving the speaker would be to make the On/Off switch and the Volume Up and Volume Down controls easier to locate and identify. At present, they’re black and are located on the black rubber of the speaker, so they’re not easy to find. Making them white would be a huge improvement. Because this is an Apple product, AppleCare+ battery and accidental damage coverage is available. Decent sound, a solid build with up to 24-hour battery life and backed by Apple means that this is a product that won’t disappoint if you’re comfortable with the price.
