Bought these in replace of my old 'urbeats.' Regardless of the variety of optional ear bud sizes, couldn't get these to stay in place. While doing sit-up or push ups. Basically any floor routines, these earphones would not stay in place. Hampered the sound and started to hurt my ears due to the extra hardware. I'm also an avid motorcycle rider and outdoors man. With or with out head gear, eyewear. These earphones just don't work. Love the brand and sound so going back to purchasing the 'tour' or 'urbeats'.

I bought these for my husband as a birthday present. Sadly, he had to return them. He is a gym rat and I thought that these would be perfect since they were supposed to be made for athletes. They did not hold up for an entire month. Luckily I purchased the warranty on the product. He returned them for the new wireless version. Apparently, returns on this product are not uncommon. He had to pay the difference for the upgrade to wireless, but he has not had any issues with them thus far.

The buds keep slipping out of my ear so I don't get good sound fidelity, especially with the base. I do have oily skin so I've tried different size fittings to no avail. Of recommend the plug info the ear model.

I didn't find the sound to be all the great for the price, I found a less expensive brand that sound pretty much the same. I ended up returning it.

Great sound & Feel, but built Terrible and cheap

I own the Beats Lady Gaga in ear headphones, the Beats Studio Pros, and now the Powerbeats. I was looking for a good working out headphone and I thought these would be them. The fit and sound are Amazing! The negative is after a couple weeks of normal use, the wire starts to crimp by the plugin to your ipod and also the cheaply made volume/pause button starts to choose when it wants to work. The wires on these headphones are not the same quality as the other Beats products. They are not as thick and tangle. The headphones will raise and lower the volume on its own, and sometimes will fast forward songs without warning, and turn on the voice control through my Iphone. Extremely annoying! Monster isn't very helpful either in responding to emails to help alleviate the situation. Just giving everyone a fair warning about the wire and you probably will have issues with the cheaply made volume control button. Two of my other teammates have the same issue with the Black Powerbeats.

First off I love the Beats Solo headphones. I think they are the best headphones on the market under $200. I tried the in-ear tours and while the sound quality is good, they never stay in the ear. Now the power beats on the other hand sound good and stay in the ear evenwhile playing basketball (probably why it is endorsed by Lebron). The style is solid, but the cord is shorter than most of the other headphones by Dr. Dre. So if you have your mp3 in your shorts and are taller, you may have an issue. The control talk device is different, but not neccessarily in a good way. Sleek design but i found myself constantly pausing songs when I was trying change the song, or turning up the volume. Overall good pair of workout headphones, but most people cant justify 149 on their purchase for gym headphones. If you can spring for them I would say it is worth it. But there isn't as much bass as some of the other headphones from the lineup either.

So I picked a pair of these up 10/17/2010 and I'd like to give my impression after 1 workout with them. They sound good overall. Clarity is there while bass is a little non existant. These headphones sound about as good as a $50 pair or skullcandy or apple headphones but fit like nothing I've ever owned in an earbud. If your an active runner or workout and your looking for handsdown the best earbud (comfort and fit) on the market at this point, look no further! These are as good as advertised for fit and comfort. They seem over priced if your buying simply for sound because you will find a earbud with equal quality for cheaper (skullcandy FMJ 49.99) but they will not fit like powerbeats. I think there good earbuds but the vaule for the price is the only drawback.

    STRONG HOLD

My old workout headphones started to fail, so I decided to try out these ones. I must say that if you are looking for headphones that will NOT fall out of your ear even in an earthquake, then get these. However, the ear pieces themselves feel alot heavier than similar products and may become uncomfortable. The sound quality is very crisp and detailed even at max volume. I do like the control talk feature, because I can control my Ipod even if it's locked without having to reach for it. One major drawback for me is the cord length is shorter than I would like given their purpose. Overrall, great product.

    Great In-ear headphones

As a high school athlete who uses music as a way to keep myself busy on long trips and get myself pumped up for an upcoming game, these headphones are perfect. I usually have a lot of pain with extended use of in-ear headphones and have been trying out the cheap ones for years. I could never seem to find a happy medium between comfort and performance though. I saw a few athletes wearing these Powerbeats on TV and immediately was drawn to them. I received them as an early Christmas present and am very pleased with how they perform. They are the only in ear headphone I have ever worn that give the effect of eliminating background noise which was huge for me. Also they are so comfortable on and around my ear. They come with soft rubber that goes into your ear in different sizes. The part that goes around your ear is bendable which ensures that perfect fit. They come with a great carrying case so they won't get damaged in travel. Overall GREAT product!

The headphones probably sound great of they would fit in my ears. I tried all 3 sizes and still it does not go in properly. They have an awkward feel when im working out as well when they are advertised to hold up in physical activity.

    So-so

I originally purchased the Beat Tours about a year ago and purchased the protection plan. Since then I picked up the Souls by Ludacris SL99's and in comparison to the Beat Tours the Soul SL99's in my opinion has better sound quality, better built and are $50.00 bucks less. I gave my 14 yr old son my Beat Tours and as all teenagers do they don't take care of anything so I went to BestBuy to get a new pair of Tours. They did not have the Tours so I decided to give the PowerBeats a shot even after reading multiple reviews. Everybody's body structure is different but I find that the PowerBeats have a really good fit even after extensive wear the over the ear hook does not bother me. The control talk is poorly constructed and the extremely thin cord is what concerns me but I can understand why it was done that way. The Beat Tours came with multiple ear buds and the PowerBeats only came with the standard small, medium and large which was a disappointment. The plus about the PowerBeats though is it comes with an extension cord which is in my opinion a great idea. The sound quality on the PowerBeats have a good mixture. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop and I do not feel that the bass is overpowering as some reviewers say. I've had less expensive earphones that produced more bass but did not have a good mixture with the mids and highs if that tells you anything. Overall, the PowerBeats are not bad. They are very stylish and look cool and the sound is very crisp. If you're looking for some headphones for working out and are sweat proof and have $180.00 (because I recommend buying the 2 yr protection plan) laying around then go for it. But if you don't need the over the ear clip and want a great combination of sound that produces a bit more bass and is better built I would recommend the Souls by Ludacris SL99's.

The ControlTalk broke after 3 weeks of use

I did enjoy these headphones when it was working. The sound was great! However, the bass was good but not great. Also, it fit great on your ears. I don't think these will ever fall off. Now the cons: These phones DO NOT ISOLATE noise. In my gym, they pump the music loud so I had to raise the volume to a higher level that I'm use to. I was starting to worry if this could possibly hurt my hearing. Another con is the ControlTalk broke after 3 weeks of use. The main button used to pause, fast forward or rewind the songs stopped working. I use it for the gym and I go about 6 days a week. I work out with weights and I run with them. Every once in a while, the headphones did something really crazy and activates Voice Control on my iPhone every 5 seconds, turns down the music to zero volume or just stops the music. I think it might have to do with me sweating while running. After the headphones dries out, it's fine.

Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY THESE EVER! Sure they sound great and sure there comfortable and sure the employees at Best Buy walk around with them on their heads, but they WILL NOT last. I got a pair this past February (2011) and liked them so much I got my wife a pair in April (2011). She had to send her's in to be replaced from Monster, which did take care of the problem within three weeks (only because she had to send them in and they sent her a new pair) and then not a month later, I too had to send mine in because the volume button wouldn't work. Not sure what's the deal with these, but I'm enjoying my Bose headphones much better, which I use everyday. I wouldn't recommend these to a friend or someone who had money to throw away.

These are the best headphones I have ever owned. I also own a pair of the Beats By Dre Tours, but for what I use them for these are much better. I got the Tours because I thought they would be good for working out, but the ear buds constantly fell out of my ears. The Power Beats always stay in my ears whether I am running, biking or lifting weights. They are also really comfortable because I have worn them for up to 2 hrs. in a row without felling discomfort. The only downside is the expensive price, and the bass does not hit as hard as the Tours do. For working out these are the best headphones you can get!
