I'm a sound engineer & have tried dozens & dozens of headphones. I'm always interested in trying new gear to see if I can find anything to surplant my classic Sony Studio Pro MDR-V6, Sennheisers or Audio Technica headphones. While these are decent sounding headphones, compared to other headphones in the same price range, made by truly reputable headphone makers, these fall short sound quality-wise. On a scale of 1-10 these would rate about a 6.5 or 7. Most people are used to your run-of-the-mill department store headphone (skullcandy, sony, etc) & compared to those, these sound much better, however if you compared these to truly good headphones then you'd hear what you're missing. These have a strong bass response but are lacking elsewhere. The bass is overwhelming & you miss a good part of the rest of the spectrum. (mids & highs) Apparently young listeners think a strong bass equates to great sound quality. They don't know what they are missing. If bass & style is all you care about, & you're ok with over spending for a brand, go ahead & get them. If you want the best sound for the price & don't care about what your peers think, you can get better & more natural sounding headphones for less, probably half as much. The sound quality is excellent, the bass doesn't hit as hard as I would like, but I think that was intentional. The wire is a little flemsy, you would think for $150.00 it would be a lot thicker (especially since there being advertised to atheletes) warranty might be a good idea.

Sounds are great. very comfortable. I also got the warranty so no worries.

The Powerbeats by Dre look cool and initially work pretty well. They have more bass than normal earbuds, but nothing impressive. The piece that goes around your ears is nice and good for working out, however, I still had a problem with the earbuds falling out while I was working out and sweating. My biggest problem with the beats is that they died after about 11 months of use. I didn't abuse my earbuds and always kept them in the case. If supposed "performance workout earbuds" can't hold up to moderate workouts 3-4 times a week for a year then they aren't worth the premium Beats charges. To make matters worse, when I contacted beats about the warranty they sent me a substandard replacement (Beats Tour) as a replacement. Overall: I would not recommend this product to my friends.

The powerbeats are awesome fit very will on my ears. They don't fall off of my ear when I'm working out or shaking my head while listening to music and by the way the sound is great and can get very loud I'm using iPhone 5.

These headphones are a bit expensive, however, they are worth it. I have not had them for a very long time as yet so I can't speak on their durability but I will say that as long as you take care of them then they will not break very easily. I love that I purchased them and I am happy that I didn't return them as I had planned.

Great sound and fit behind ears keeping them in during workout sessions(gym, running, biking, skateboarding) but something is definitely wrong with these headphone as they only last a couple months at a time. I purchased some in December 2010 and the right speaker stopped working about 1.5 months in. Those we replaced and again now in April the speaker went out again. Gonna have to switch to something else.

Amazing product by Beats by dre. I use these daily for working out and fitness activities. Never had a problem with these headphones because of the comfortable clip that it has. Great for people who do alot of fast movements or just dont like having earphones fall out all the time. Would recommend going with the Geek squad protection though. If youre like me (i just throw these in my gym bag without the case after a hard workout) please consider it. Already had two of these break on me because of the wires tearing near the connection and having only sound come from one ear plug. Saves you the money and time rather than going through manufacturer!

These earbuds are great. They sound a little flat at first and I was almost about to return them, but after about a day or two, they became "broken in" just as it said in the box, and now they sound great. I don't get how many people are breaking them, they're durable enough for my workouts, but I bought the protection plan just in case.

Love these headphones....they are comfortable to wear, and I love that you can pause and adjust volume directly on them rather than having to do it on the device itself!!! Would recommend!

If you are motivated by music when you workout , this is a buy worth your money. Comfort and the quality of sound are excellent.

They are ok, cost too much I think. The name make the price higher, I have heard quality just as good. At least it stay in your ear better the apple one those sucks. These you can work out in them without adjusting at All. Highly recommend trying them first.

Let me start by saying the sound output from these headphones is really good. However, I gave these 2 stars because they made it 45 minutes at the gym before they starting acting up. The sweat made it to the mic, and it started activating my voice commands on my phone and raising the volume without me touching anything. Took them back the same day, and exchanged them for the Yurbuds Explorer Pro's . They don't sound as good, but they are definitely more durable.

I really like this product.. Only downfall is, that it gets dirty easily because its white. I haven't had any problems with it yet, unlike my other headphones that I've purchased in the past. Definitely worth the money!

Love these headphones I can be working out and they stay on. Love how awesomee the music sounds in these, plus I can stick them in my purse

these are very durable, and very handy, for the gym and exercises. the sound is loud and smooth,

I bought this product for my boyfriend for Christmas. Not even a month later, the right ear bud lost audio. For the price you pay for this, you'd think they'd at least last a year. We were able to exchange for a new one. But if it wears out again, we will just be returning it. Other than the fact it is not reliable, the sound is awesome.

These Beats serve their intended purpose of being able to talk on the phone while driving, but the controls are truly meant for Apple products. They are worth the price and I would recommend them for any music lover.

I have very small and sensitive ears and was looking for earphone that didn't hurt or slide off when I sweat when exercising and had great sound.

Have tried many headphones to use when working out, these stay in well. Kind of pricey but hope they last.
