    Not very durable

I purchased these headphones on 12/01/2014. Since then I've had to replace them three times; twice due to the Volume controls not working and Once because they just completely stopped working altogether. I workout daily and I sweat alot during my workouts, so I'm guessing that was the cause of my problems. Just traded these for some JayBird bluebuds X headphones. Hoping I get some better results.

High price for type of product

Overall the price is high for the item. I had to return it twice due to the same issue which is the functions button, in both cases it got stuck! And let me make it clear that I took very good care of it (being so pricey). First time I decided to exchange it because I was under the idea that I got "lucky" and my product was part of the "Expected failures in the field" (which BTW ALL products/companies have.. this I know being a Supply Chain Manager for an aftermarket/repair company).... and wanted to give it another try. Well second one had the same problem, honestly if it would have been something that I purchased for under $40 bucks(like the MONSTER NCREDIBLE ones I got on ebay for $35 including S&H)... fine, I spend more taking it back, but not something that is $150!. The hype on BEATS brand is big and everybody wants them (including me) because of the quality of sound (and let's be real... Famous people used them.... thing here is... most of them get them FOR FREE!... it is advertising!... if they break.. no problem, they will get new ones.. FREE)... but Quality on materials is not there... not only on this model, but most of them.

Terrible build quality ruins the product

I researched reviews for these headphones before I bought them. The reviews seemed to be split: half of the people were very happy with how stylish the headphones were and the fact that they stay in your ears better than the beats by Dre Tour headphones (b/c of the earclips), while the other half had a pair break on them relatively quickly because of poor quality. I foolishly thought that if I bought them that my headphones would be fine and the complainers just got a bad batch. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I had them out of the box for roughly two hours before the ControlTalk module simply stopped working. This is very annoying because my workout iPod is a 3rd Gen shuffle, the iPod that doesn't have any buttons on it. Without ControlTalk, I can't change songs or increase/decrease volume. The Control Talk module on these headphones is EXTREMELY cheaply constructed. This is bizarre when you consider that the ControlTalk module on the Beats by Dre Solo headphones is a fairly robust piece of high density plastic and metal. On the PowerBeats, the module is made out of very cheap plastic that simply doesn't belong on something at this price. I had a chance to evaluate the sound quality for the brief period before the headphones broke on me. The sound was decent, but definitely not worth anywhere near the $149.99 charged on the BestBuy website and the $179.99 that I was charged in-store. Charitably, they were a small step above the standard iPod earbuds. There was more push in the bass and more crispness in the upper ranges but nothing spectacular. I think most of what you're paying for here is the Beats by Dr. Dre branding. It's a shame because I've tried out the Solo and Studio models and they are decent products. These, however, are lemons and I'm shocked that Monster would put out a product that is so poorly constructed.

I would recommend these for anyone. The sound quality is great the only think is that the bass could be a little deeper but they are still great.

Though I like the sound quality and comfort, I was disappointed that I had to exchange for a new pair after only a month of use. The width of the cords gives me concern for durability in the future.

    Tizzy and Threadbare

I thought these would be similar in balance to the headphones. Wrong. Human voices sound like the opening of ELO's 'Telephone Line'. Threadbare, lacking in body and very tizzy. This does not sound like real music. Maybe I got a defective pair. Returning and will get Bose instead. I know those will work they are just overpriced.

great sound, average fit while exercising

The sound in these earphones is amazing. I really enjoy listening to tunes while I workout. My biggest problem with these earphones is that they don't stay in your ear very well if you are vigorously exercising. Walking or lifting weights the performance is fine. Running will cause the earphones to move around in your ear

Yesterday, I bought this earphone so I can listen to my music in a whole new level. Once I plug this to my iPod Nano, it felt like I'm in a rock concert.

Good sound and good quality, ideal for working out and outdoor exercises because the tour versions do not respond well to moisture and this pair does.

    Athletic headphones

I am a gym junkie and avid runner. These headphones sound great, but I exchanged them multiple times since buying my original pair in February 2012. I had the BlackTie on them, but the controltalk feature breaks after they are used for a about a month or so. You cannot change the volume or the song using inline controls. They were so bad at one point the headphone started to trigger Siri constantly while I was at the gym. I ended up having to just get different headphone.

I've returned this product 3 times. The sounds quality is good, excpet for the last pair I exchanced for last, the right ear was louder than the left. I had problems when working out. I don't think these are sweat resistant. After about 2 minutes of working out on the treadmill, the control talk control stops working. I can't lower or boost the volume, I can't change songs, and the Voice Control on my iPhone comes on. Then the songs being skipping as if i was pressing the control talk button. i have to unplug the headphones and proceed to continue working out without any tunes. Each headset I returned had this issue. I wound up buying $50 Addidas headphones that are similar in design and haven't had any problems

To All, I like most of you have been reading through the reviews of these headphones, and am here to tell you that it's very poor that these are even being sold in the market. I bought my first pair earlier this week, being skeptical that I would get lucky with a good pair that would not break. I was wrong...the volume control broke within the first hour of wearing them. I then returned the pair in exchange for another. As soon as I took the new pair out of the box and plugged them in the right side didn't even work. I like the over the ear clip of these and the ipod control, but it isn't worth a dime if they don't work. Please don't waste your time unless you are ok with returning these things probably monthly if not weekly! At this point I am not sure what brand I am going to go to, but not any beats by any means!

I love to run with my power beats. I love how they have the bass in the back of the ear buds. Buy it if the love to work out or just rock and roll.

Good but could be better. If you decide to get it, i recommend the 2 year warranty so you have a bunchnof replacements over 2 years. I replaced it twice before just deciding to upgrade to beats pro. Beats pro is more expensive but noise canceling
