    BeatsPro vs J.Bird Vista

A little context here, I’ll admit it, I am a bit of a headphones snob. I mean, I got the Sennheiser HD800S, that’s about as snobby as it gets. So I spend A LOT of time with headphones listening to music and stuff. I decided to finally jump into the True Wireless market because true wireless headphones are a nice workout companion. So the obvious choice came down to PowerBeats Pro vs Jaybird Vista. I initially went with the Vistas because they are smaller, cheaper, look nicer (in my opinion), and seemed better for everyday use. But, as it turned out, the Vistas were just too uncomfortable in my ears, fatigue set it after about 30 minutes. I also wasn’t a fan with the lack of buttons. Other than that they were fantastic. But the fatigue issue was too much of a problem for me so I returned them. I had no intention of purchasing the PowerBeats Pro until the price dropped down to $199. That price was more on par with the Vistas. After about 4 days of constant use, I am very happy with the PowerBeats Pro, and declare them the winner. At first I was very skeptical because, again, the headphones were hurting my ears after about an hour or so. Not so great, but better than the Vistas. However, after getting more familiar with the Beats I can go almost all day long now without them hurting. I think I was initially forcing them too far down the ear canal (in the past that’s how earbuds have worked for me in order to get the tight seal). Later I realized jamming them into the ears is unnecessary because of the way the PowerBeats Pro are angled. So as long as I gently attach them to my ears with no force at all in a very relaxed manner, it’s wonderful. Good design here from the Beats makers. I am pleasantly surprised by how good of a seal I’m getting. On top of that, they sound great (exaggerated bass of course but I like that for working out). The phone calls are way better than I expected, it’s awesome, and the compatibility with Apple products is a beautiful experience. So bravo Dr.Dre or whomever designed these, I dig it.

I’ve been happy with my PowerBeat Pro’s! The clarity is good and they never fall off my ear! I run, workout and am very active with these! Battery life is outstanding They are good enough, but not great. Con’s... it seems I have to turn the volume up all the way just to get the beat/loudness I want. People can’t hear my voice when I’m talking on the phone all that well (in comparison to Apple AirPods) and the bass isn’t as thumping as I would like it to be. Not compared to Bose. Overall satisfied. It’s tricky buying wireless earphones with different brands, there are so many factors to consider. You’re best bet, is Apple, Beats, Bose and maybe JBL.

1st off, I own all the best. Sennheiser, Sony, jabird and so on. I think the Beats are expensive for what you get overall. Having said that, they have had some great sales to bring the price point down! They are really great and convenient in so many ways. You can't complain about the battery life, they are very very comfortable and you forget they are even there. I love the touch features and volume rockers (great design) and they are a very easy go ro earbud even when you have many choices including 5 pairs of top notch headphones. They have plenty of bass if you're in the mood for that and listening to the right music. The downside and it is huge at it's price point is that they don't even come close in sound quality to other buds of the same price range or I even own much cheaper buds that sound so much better! Now I am usually very picky and critical when it comes to sound quality. Probably much more than your average person. With all that in mind I am very glad I have them in my arsenal of buds, especially for what I paid for them! I would absolutely recommend them to a friend because they are just so easy to use and carry with you everywhere you go. You don't needs to take the case in most instances. And they look, feel and perform like they will last a long time is one of my favorite things about them! My favorite are my Masters and dynamics over the Sennheisers and actually I prefer the Sony's over the sennheisers too depending on what I feel like at the time but all of those mentioned are much more delicate that I'm afraid to take them out of the house and they all have different quirks of their own so overall, I think they are quality decent or even very good sounding earbuds and worrh having in a set of earbuds!! I still would buy them at the regular price but I it would be something I'd really have to think about!! Oh and one last thing is the fit is outstanding with the over the ear style and rest very comfortably inside your ears for long periods of time! Simply put, they aren't the best choice at that price for sound but their are more things to consider than just the sound. If I lost mine, I would rush back to Best Buy and purchase another pair of these quality earbuds!!! I hope this helps someone make the right decision for them! Sincerely, Ray

I was a late adopter of going from wired to bluetooth headphones for gym use but have no regrets with these. Great battery life and sound quality and most importantly the design keeps them snug and from coming loose. The only slight negative is they do occasionally have connectivity issues which is easily resolved by forgetting device/re-pairing on your device.

These are incredible ear buds! They have fantastic sound, they're comfortable and easy to sync, the controls are easy to use and what's better is the same controls are on both ear buds so you can adjust the sound and pause/play with either bud. Excellent bass as well and long battery life as well. If I had one complaint it would be that they aren't noise cancelling. I feel the pros well outweigh the cons though and would definitely recommend these ear buds.

The sound is spectacular with the noise cancelling working great as well. The earphones are everything I was looking for and do hold a charge exceptionally well. The only reasons I would not rate a 5 STRAR: 1. Sometimes you have to unpair and pair again to get both earphones to sync and work properly. 2. charging case needs to be placed flat and you need to make extra sure the metal charging contacts are placed firmly into the case to make sure it charges. Placing in a gym bag where it moves around will not insure they stay charged. 3. A little overpriced.

TLDR: I highly recommend these. Sound is great, they fit well, and are as easy to use as AirPods. Overview: These live up to the beats hype. I own multiple headphones and they each serve a different purpose. Sennheiser for best quality/ clarity of sounds, Sony for NC, AirPods for ease of use and phone calls. I bought these for running and to enjoy more bass from my music. Beats headphones are tuned to increase the bass frequencies, giving a more powerful sound to your music. Fit: Snug. They aren’t going to move around on you or fall off. I wouldn’t say they’re the most comfortable but they aren’t meant for long periods of listening. The cushion actually creates a nice seal and cuts out most outside noise. If you don’t get the fit in your ear just right however, the sound quality completely drops off. There are multiple ear cushions to make sure you get just the right fit. Comparison: AirPods are a bump away from flying off into the abyss (okay that’s a bit dramatic but I have actually sent one flying by taking a hoodie/ shirt off). On ear headphones are extremely uncomfortable for me after 5 minutes. Over ear are too bulky where these fit into a pocket or bag nicely. Sound quality seems on par with the other beats I’ve tried. Clarity is on par for other headphones in this price range, while having more bass. Sound: Exactly what you would expect from beats. Heavy bass that doesn’t completely overpower other sounds. Bass totally changes the dynamic of whatever you’re listening to. Instead of hearing bass tones, you get the sensation of feeling bass, making movies or music much more dramatic. Style: These look exactly like the picture. The red color is really cool and not obnoxious. Features: Connecting to Apple devices is as easy as AirPods (because they use the same internal components), which is extremely easy and intuitive. Battery life seems to be good for both the headphones and the case. Water resistance makes me comfortable if they get a little splashed in the rain. Controls: The buttons are thoughtfully made where you have complete control from either headphone (bicyclists are in luck!). One click pauses or plays, two skips to next song, three to beginning or last song. You have about 2 seconds to get it to go back a song, otherwise it will go back to the beginning of the same song. This is by far the most annoying thing. Especially since you have to click it three times and wait to hear if you got the right song, you’ll feel like you’re just jabbing at your ear trying to go back a song. Case: Large but the contours make it fit into a pocket easily. The headphones fit well and you won’t question if they are charging or not. A light on the front let’s you know roughly if the battery is charged or not. Conclusion: These are my go to for heavy bass and exercising. If you’re on the fence, get these and you won’t be disappointed.

These "ears" are just what I needed! They are comfortable (unless you try to wear them all day), sound quality is excellent, and are easy to use. They pair easily & sound great with my Samsung Galaxy phone. You can even use just one at a time if you'd like. With volume, mic, and side button on each bud, the possibilities are endless! They definitely stay in until you remove them. Would be good for working out or running. Plus, they come in a sweet little rechargeable case and 4 sizes of cushions for you ear size. (I have very small ear canals) Battery lasts forever too! I love my "ears"!

In my opinion, these are by far the best earbuds on the market for working out. It’s solid performer and delivers pristine, quality sound. Very light and stays secured on your ears regardless of how vigorous your workout might be. The only question is how long will they last. These are my second and my first pair lasted only a dismal 2 years. Had issues with the buds not charging. Pulled the trigger on the second pair in the hopes these will last longer and not suffer the same disastrous failures experienced with the first. So far, so good! I am a happy camper!

I like them they sound great, light weight and I don't worry about them falling out. Normally I wear only one when going about daily trips and never carry the charge case as it last so long I've never needed to charge the one I'am wearing. Works well during exercise not that I do that much LOL. I went to a park event left home at 9am returned at 10pm and still was at 56% charge. I made three phone calls and listened to music off and on, during that time. I've tried other products with ear hooks and found by ear would become sore, that has not been a problem with Beats.

Great earphones! Sound quality and comfort is excellent!! Seamless pairing to my iPhone and Apple Watch. They don’t budge when working out, and I forget I even have them in. Super comfortable to wear for hours. Battery life is great, and the case itself lasts all day. Definitely worth the buy. I was torn between these and the AirPod pros, I’m glad I went with the Powerbeats just based on how comfortable and secure they are for working out. The AirPod pros do offer the ANC but I don’t notice any outside noise with the Powerbeats so it’s a win for me.

If you’re looking for true wireless headphones with which to workout or run, these are it. I should have purchased these when they first came out. First, they fit securely. They come with 3 earbud adjustment pieces for different fits/ears. They don’t fall out when running for miles. Second, they don’t overpower you with sound. Any serious runner knows you need to be able to hear environmental sound. These allow you to hear and be aware of what is going on around you. Third, the volume and pause controls on the earphones are easy to use and work properly. Fourth, the way this product works is: it comes in a case and the case is its own battery. So you can take the case with you and charge the headphones from the case. The headphones charge fast, too. Took these out of the box and had them paired with my iPhone Xr in just a few minutes. Very slick. Only two minor complaints: deciphering the LEDs on the case isn’t intuitive (blinking white, blinking red, red, white, all mean something is happening with pairing/battery charging. And sometimes the magnets in the case that provide a charge don’t dock firmly to the charging contact points and n the headphones, so you have to make sure they clamp down securely to charge them before you walk away. Definitely well worth it, especially on sale for $179.

These are great true wireless headphones that are almost great. By now you probably already have a good idea of what makes them great (bass, simple setup, physical controls, battery life) so I won’t go in-depth there. The downsides for me are intermittent connectivity issues, subpar volume level and the case. I’ve had the audio drop in and out once (quick disconnect and re-pairing fixed it). The volume level could be louder. I feel like I have to crank them up to at least 50% to get them where I like it. Finally the case is quite large and doesn’t offer wireless charging.

So I got the regular on-ear headphones for a while and I returned them because they were not for me for several reasons. As a woman who wears earrings every day, on-ears are a no-go. Not to mention, no room for sunglasses on the walk to classes, they take forever to put away when I need to get them off my desk as the teacher starts talking, and not to mention the constant fear of them getting crushed in my backpack full of books... These are so perfect for me. Love the sound, love the style, love the wireless nature, love the ability to play/pause/adjust volume right from the sides, and I love the way they hook on to your ear so when you're out moving around living your busy life, you don't have to worry about them falling off. 11/10 awesome everything. Ya did good, Beats, ya did good.
