They were perfect for him (since he had lost one bud of his old pairs). These will be a little more diffficult to fall from his ears.

They stay in your ears unlike Airpods

It doesn't matter what tips I put on Airpods, because they're guaranteed to fall out at some point. Nothing like having ear buds fall out while deadlifting and landing directly under your weight. Power beats get a good seal on my ears, and they don't move a bit. The sound is decent enough for what their purpose is, and they connected right away. I've made a phone call with them without issue. The new hard charging case is a welcome change, because the power beats of old were a bit fragile. Highly recommend them for the gym and other fitness activities.
