Sound quality is not so great. I prefer the skull candy better than this product. Not the same as the first generation.

I'll be honest, these weren't my first choice, I bought the Bose Soundsport Free first. I've historically been a fan of the Bose sound. Unfortunately, when I used the Bose at the gym, one of the earbuds was constantly cutting out, (maybe too much interference from other people's BT headphones?). They did work fine at home and at work, but at this price point, the dropping connection was unacceptable. I couldn't even make it through a song without dropping, usually multiple times! And I also didn't like the audio quality either, very disappointing as well. Now, to move on to the Powerbeats and why they are better than the Bose. First of all, no dropping connection, even at the gym. Second, the battery life is much longer, always a good thing. Next, the sound quality is much better. Here, choosing the right size earbud is key, I have to use the largest size to get a good enough seal in my ears for the full sound spectrum to come through by blocking out enough of the background noise. These still don't go into your ear canal, sitting just outside, but with the right size earbud on you can get a pretty good isolation. I also switched the EQ in my Apple Music settings to Rock to get the best sound balance that I liked. For those who say they don't have enough bass, I find it to be just right, not overdone like Beats products have a reputation for. Little to no distortion in the sound as well, which is great. For those who think the case is too large, it's not. If you're comparing it to the Airpods case, yes it's bigger. The shape fits better in pocket to me than the longer Bose case, and it's just really not that big., My concern is that the case is a bit flimsy, it feels like an unfortunate event with the lid open could rip it right off. I'd like something a little for sturdy for $250. It's also nice to be able to use either side on it's own with full functionality, with the Bose you could only use the right side alone, and phone calls only came through that side. Maybe not a huge deal, but just another way that these Beats are better. Maybe it's that full Apple integration, as I'm using them with an iPhone XS Max. To sum it all up, I've been wanting to make the move to a fully wireless headphone for awhile. These are the first ones that I have been satisfied with. While they are expensive, sometimes you have to pay to get a product that will fully meet your needs. I am a happy buyer.

Very disappointed by these headphones. Have the Beats Studio over the ear but can’t use it for the gym due to heavy sweating. Was hoping the sound quality would be at least some what close but thought I got a defective product. Returned and got a new one and discovered to my disappointment that it wasn’t defective they all sound like a $20 headphones.

I have never found beats of any kind to be comfortable and these did not disappoint. The sound did not sound good to me but that may have been the horrible fit in my ear. I really liked the color though. If I was only using these for working out intensely then they would be a good bud, but the price would still not be worth it. In MY opinion.

    DISAPPOINTED WITH FUNCTIONALITY

FUNCTIONALITY: For a product with this price point, I expected much more from its functionality. The battery life measurement is not user friendly. The charging pot sometimes has glitches and one ear bud may work and the other does not. I would expect that the earbuds themselves have some sort of physical and easily apparent gauge as to how much battery life remains or has been used. It’s hard for you to gauge this. For example I run 60 minuites of cardio every morning with them and do about 30 minuites of weight trading after. The battery only lasts about 2 days before I have to fully recharge, that’s less than 6hours of use fully charged and I can’t even tell how low or when I need to recharge them. The charging pot is not helpful and like I said has glitches even when charged, sometimes just one earbud will work. The beats by Dre wireless were much better than this and have no such glitches. SOUND: The sound is also not a huge upgrade from the wireless, the version before these ones. There are very comparable in sound quality. I would recommend you get those instead of these, these are more troublesome from a functionality standpoint.
