They are not loud enough and their design makes my ears hurt after wearing them for more than 1 hour. Also every time I want to use them during a call people have a hard time hearing me they are not reliable for calls. I wished I would have read the reviews before buying it but I trusted the beats brand however it was a disappointment. I should of went for the AirPods.

My hubby initially got me the Wireless Powerbeats Pro...mainly because they came in green. I got him the Wireless Jabra Elite Active 65t. After trying both I ended up taking the Beats back to the store and getting the Jabra earbuds. The quality was better, stayed in my ears even when I would sweat, and the best part I saved over $100. I think these earbuds were popular due to the name not the quality.

Android users, read this and get you a pair now!

In this review I just wanted to clear up a few things. I have watched reviews and most of them were saying that you do not get multiple features on these that you do with apple devices. Now these do have the apple H1 chip but besides "seemlessly connecting" the only thing that an android device will not do is share the beats pro with your other android devices via iCloud for obvious reasons. Here is my experience: So the initial setup was easy. All I had to do was open the case go to powerbeats pro and tap in bluetooth menu and THEY BOTH PAIRED. Also when I take the headphones out of my ear THEY DO PAUSE MUSIC OR VIDEOS AND ALSO SWITCH TO MY PHONE IF I WAS ON A CALL. Also android users, YOU CAN PRESS AND HOLD THE BUTTON ON THE SIDE TO ACTIVATE GOOGLE ASSISTANT. also if you are on a call just like an iPhone user, you CAN tap on the same button to place people on hold and pick up the other person. Seeing the battery life on a android takes 99 cents. I downloaded the air battery app for free and then bought the pro because I do not like ads. This will display the left and right ear battery life and also when you tap the notification it will show the image of your beats, just like and iPhone. I tried the Sony wf-1000xm3 and they did not work well. The sound was a bit better when listening to music but I wore when if was sprinkling outside and it started hanging up my calls. Also switch calls when you had a incoming call was a nightmare with the Sony wf-1000xm3. So going through this, although I heard all these review saying I will not get the same features because i am a android user, I still pulled the trigger and thank God I didn't listen them. Android users, dont be afraid to try these out.

Airpod functionality without the fit issues

    Posted .

TL;DR Better fit than Airpods with all the smart functionality, good sound for the size. They work slightly better in the Apple ecosystem than other headphones but have little advantage outside of it and even have some major bluetooth issues with Windows. They're arriving on the heels of a long decline in engineering and quality control at Apple so it may be better to wait and see what the reviews say in a year or so. All things considered, they're good but not great and don't quite earn the price tag. I really liked my airpods but they just wouldn't stay in for a workout. The left one would always slip as soon as it got a bit sweaty. Pro These really fix the fit issues with a nice firm fit in the ear and double security with the holder going over the ear. That also gives me a better way to hold them when I take them out to talk to someone. I can hook them on to my bag or hook them around my finger more securely than the shiny smooth airpods. They are more noticeable than the airpods but I don't worry about accidentally knocking them out. They're almost as comfortable as the Plantronics Backbeat Fit but they have much better functionality with the automatic music pausing and better controls. OK The sound quality is ok. They're not full size headphones and you shouldn't expect that. I think it's a bit better than the Airpods but not a lot. It does have better passive noise cancellation. Even comparing them to the Bose 700 full size headphones though, the distortion at higher pitches and lack of clarity is really obvious. Cons They're more expensive than they should be and the bluetooth connection is simple on apple but doesn't give much advantage outside the Apple ecosystem and doesn't really work completely smoothly within the Apple ecosystem. On Android they pair just like any other headphone. On Windows, unfortunately, both the Airpods and the Powerbeats Pro have some issue with bluetooth where Windows will continually take over the connection with them, booting your phone or tablet or any other device you have connected. I don't have this issue with the Bose headphones or anything else, just Apple-made headphones on Windows. It remains to be seen but I also have not been impressed with the build quality of my previous Beats headphones or any of the Apple lineup in recent years. It seems I'm in the Apple store for repairs once or twice a month and my last power beats 2 made it just 13 months with very light use before breaking and Apple basically told me I'd have to buy a new pair. Hopefully these hold up better. I also would have liked some earcup options that allow for less passive cancellation. One of the great things about the Backbeat Fit was that it lets ambient sound in, so when you're running you can hear traffic, pedestrians, crossing signals and anything else you need to be aware of.
