    Terrible Product

I ordered my beats about a year ago and since then I have went through 5 pairs of them. I have had to send them in for repair or replacement. Note I take very good care of my belongings. They have had issues from way too much static and cutting in and out, to the left ear had no sound at all, they didn't hold their charge and most recently will not even turn on. I have taken all the steps necessary to try and reset them. They had been updated, etc. Then I try to get another repair and this pair finally made it past 90 days so I have to pay $99 to repair when I get get a new pair for $145. Bottom line, do not purchase these. Try to find something else.

Great sound but I have owned previous versions of this product and seems to be more cheaper made from the case to no cover for the charging port and when the headphones are synced to the phone there was an indicator to tell how much power the headphones had on previous models.

Cheap quality for an Apple product

Sound OK - not great Comfort Ok - not great Nothing to fill the recharge port when not being charged. I don’t expect this to last long using while exercising. Other products I’ve used had at least a rubber plug. Charging light is either red or white. I think a fully charged light would be nice. I can’t tell if it’s charged until I turn it on and look at my phone. When you turn it on it takes a while for the “on” tone to play. I seem to give up early and push the button again and it turns off using the same or similar tone as the “on”. Most times I end up removing it and watch for the light to come on instead of turning it on while wearing it. Very annoying. I paid a premium price for this with the recommendation of the Best Buy salesperson and expected the usual Apple quality. Won’t be buying Beats anymore. For the price, look at another brand. This one isn’t any good.

Sound Nice - When they work

I am on my 3rd pair of Powerbeats. They sound very nice but the 2 pair that I have had both died within a few months. They were not able to hold a charge and most of the time would not charge at all. To much money for this item to break 2 times within a year.

I've had my headphones for about 1.5 years. When it was working, it was great! Now my headphones won't turn on even after I reset it and fully charged it. Waste of money. I'm going to have to try something else.

-points: It hurts my ear when I use it for a long period of time( about 2-3hours) for some reasons I don't know. Dust easily cling and hard to remove. +point: it doesn't fall out easily when walking or running.

Not working in Less than a Year

I'm sad to say that these headphones did not last and perform the way they're advertised. I was so happy with these for several months as they provided solid sound quality and long lasting charges. I've done nothing differently with them but they will no longer charge. It's almost as if there's a short in them. As I read other reviews online it seems I'm not alone. It's sad that I expected more reliability out of a nearly $200 pair of sport headphones. I may be trying out some other brands under $100.

Garbage, don’t stand by their product

I bought my first pair at the end of April 2017, within a month(probably about 2 weeks) they stopped working; wouldn’t charge nor turn on, nothing. Luckily I had them replaced at the store I bought them from almost no questions asked. Fast forward about 10 months(March 2018) and an earhook just breaks clean off. It wasn’t giving me fits or loose or anything, just one day broke off. I took them to where I bought them, as I’d done before, where they told me Apple wouldn’t let them do direct exchanges anymore(probably because their product is junk). So, I find an Apple store, take them in there to hopefully just exchange them, since it’s an Apple product, no such luck. Rather, they insisted it was of my own doing, that I broke them, and they needed to charge me $99 to send them in to be repaired or replaced, when the 1 year warranty clearly states that it covers material and workmanship. Too bad I fell for this trap, a company that won’t even stand by its product. The sound was great but going through two pairs in less than a year is unacceptable for something with a $200 price tag. Never again Beats, and Apple, you’ll be lucky if I buy anything from you again.

    Great sound, weak durability

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've gone through 2 of these in the past year and a half. The first pair failed because the mic stopped working, no big deal I just used the headphones for music. Then, one of the over the ear holders broke off. I sent in to Apple and they wanted to charge me $100 to fix. I said no thanks keep them. I bought another pair for Xmas. Same deal only 6 months later. Except this time both over the ear holders broke off. I'm not buying another pair of these. The sound is nice but for that price I better get more durability out of them. I've had cheaper headphones that lasted longer than these.

If you sweat, do not purchase

If you use these for anything other than a workout or run where you might sweat, you'll do OK. They sound good and will stay in your ears. If you choose to be active with them, as they claim they're workout headphones, be prepared for them to fail every 90 days or so. Something will stop working. Sometimes it refuses to connect. Odd blinking lights. Volume/mic stops working... All of these have happened. 3rd pair in 7 months. DO NOT PURCHASE.

    Poor Quality Workmanship

So I was given a pair of wireless headphones as a gift. At first I was leery from changing from my traditional wired headset due to comfortable of use. After about a month of the having the headphones sit in the box, I decided to give them a try. Well needless to say I fell in love with them as I am active person who likes to exercise a lot. So now I was free of wires and free of having to carry my phone directly on me. Well after four months of use the volume/microphone device split in half. As such, I lost the ability to control my headphones and talk clearly through the microphone. I looked up the manufacturing warranty which stated 1 year. I figured Apple stands behind their products so will not have an issue with them repairing my headphones especially since they were relatively new and I had the receipt. I brought in my receipt from Best Buy which clearly had a purchase date within 5 month of purchase. Well upon taking it to the Apple store, I had issues with staff telling me it was out of warranty. The only thing I figured is that they started the clock on the manufacturing warranty based on Best Buy purchasing the item for resale to consumers. I argued the issue stating that it is not fair for them to start the warranty period based on when the reseller received it versus when it was sold to the end-user. So obviously this seems fair right…so the person assisting me talked with everyone and sent it off to get repaired free of charge. Well two days later, I receive an email telling me that my product is not under warranty. I thought ok, we went through this issue once so I will call and give them my repair order so they can see the notes. This time they said it was out of warranty because parts are missing. I said correct, the volume apparatus broke because of a manufacturing defect and the other half of the volume control fell off when I didn’t notice. Well they told me if any parts are missing regardless of the manner, it voids the warranty; however, I can have it fixed for $99. Seriously for that much I can nearly buy me a new set, but you can bet I will not buy Apple product again.

    THUMBS DOWN

I am ABSOLUTELY dissapointed with Apple products and specially Apple Care. I purchased the wireless PowerBeats a little over a year ago for almost $130.00 at BestBuy and the loop that goes around the ear has failed and the rigid wire that was inside a plastic tubing has come out and its puncturing my ear. First of all, I am utterly DISSAPOINTED with the failure of this item after just over a year of mild use. A friend of mine bought some Sony Wireless earphones for a fraction of the price and they are still running strong, not to mention the battery life is far superior. In addition, Apple Care blatantly stated that the only way to have those fixed is by paying a $99.00 service fee plus other fees that would amount to guess what? Almost the exact price I paid a year ago for a brand new set. Does apple think they sell $130.00 earphones meant to be diaposable after merely a year of use? Dont they go the extra mile for clients that own and have own their products for over 10 years? Bottom line is, 1) The product is of poor quality and Will FAIL 2) Apple Care won't have any interest in helping you other than ripping you off 3) There are superior product with much better customer service and retention.

    Poor Quality

I'm on my second powerbeats and have experience poor quality with both. I had the first powerbeats for less than a month when I started having problems with it, specifically, I couldn't it turn off unless it was charging. I bought a second one and bought a warranty. After about 3 months, I experienced the same problem. Also, I question the quality of Beats in general, as my brother in law bought Beats Solo and it didn't last very long. He said that he can turn it on but there's no sound (and yes, he checked the volume).

This is the second set that we have purchased for our adult son; and he LOVES them. He has them in his ears whenever he is out and about and wants to listen to tunes, or just chat on the phone. He has had ZERO problems! Great find!
