Wouldn't hold a charge &2nd pair same thing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had them for about a month before I had to do a warranty swap. They wouldn't hold a charge. They did at first. I never saw the whole 5-minute charge last an hour thing. But Apple was great, they swapped them out and had a refurbished pair mailed to me within a couple days. About another 9 months later, literally after my 1-year warrenty ended, the headphones wouldn't turn on. Completey dead. No lights, wouldn't respond to the Beatsupdater on the computer. Nothing. They wanted $99 to repair them. Never buying an Apple product again.

Defective
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sadly the negative reviews are true. I purchased this item in may 2017 and they now do not work. They began by switching songs randomly and sometimes completely stopping during use. Finally they would not come on and will not charge. They were only used when I would jog two to three times a week. And when yours do stop working don't take them to Bestbuy expecting service. After waiting in line at the geeksquad for 40mins they will tell you they can't help and direct you to apple for a warranty claim. So either start with apple or DO NOT BUY these Beats.

Cables wear out easily
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter bought these earphones from BestBuy, and within 8 months, nearly all the connection points between the cables and the earphones had broken off, exposing internal wires. Apple refused to repair or replace them under the 1 year warranty, claiming the damage was 'accidental damage' even though it was actually just normal wear and tear. I would recommend staying away from these earphones, since they're clearly poorly made, and from Apple earphones in general, since Apple doesn't honor their warranties.

Do not buy these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would never suggest these headphones to a friend. I’m an avid gym goer and these headphones just don’t cut it. In the last year I have been through three pairs and beats customer service is not easy to deal with. If you sweat at the gym these headphones will go bad and will stop holding a charge after a couple of months of use. This happened to me for the third time last week and beats will not fix mine or give me a new pair. You are only paying for the name when you buy beats. Not happy at all about my purchase.

Bought April 23 stopped working July 1
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When will I learn my lesson to stop buying from Best Buy? I bought this item on April 23 and the item worked great while it was functioning. Unfortunately, the item only a shade over two months. Now I have to go through the extended warranty. I only used this item three times a week for a week for a total of 16 times for no more than 16 hours while I worked out. The item no longer charges when plugged in. I've tried different outlets and connections. How an item can stop working after 16 hours of use is beyond me. Thanks Dr. Dre and Best Buy.

Good when working
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a pair of Powerbeats 3 and Beats X and have had problems with both within 3-4 months of purchase. For the third time, my Powerbeats cut off in the middle of my workout, 45 min after 100% charge. I tried to reset them (which helped on the second time they cut off), and this time they didn't reset. My Beats X cut off on me at a random time and I had to send them in to get replaced. 4 months after my purchase and I'm not confident that these things will last very long, especially after the warranty expires. If you buy, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT.

Save Your Money!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife bought me a pair for Christmas 2018. They lasted about 18 months. She bought me another pair for Christmas 2020. Those died about three weeks ago. Since they were purchased November, 2020, they're now over the warranty period...even though I didn't even get a full year's worth of use! With this being my second pair that didn't last, I will never buy or recommend a Beats product again!

Great sound and quality but stopped charging
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I charged them once, used them for about 2h. When trying to use them again, they were dead. When trying to charge them, nothing. Red light comes on but they won't charge. Found many complaints about the same issue and some tricks to fix it, but why should I spend time on fixing them instead of using them?? They are going back to the store for replacement. 2nd pair better be good otherwise I'll keep bringing them back

Bad experience with Beats2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money... I bought a beats2 a year ago and just received my third or fourth replacement yesterday. And yes, I loss count. I could find all the support case Id if anyone is interested. Apple support could never provide any repair or diagnostic report other than just replaced with a refurbished unit. I used the unit only in weekend, the last unit worked the weekend before last and just won't power up last weekend. I thought it was the battery so charge it for a day and it is still red. Never recommend even the powerbeat3

Not sweat resistant at all
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you sweat at all when working out you will eventually kill them. I have gone through 4 pair. Some last longer than others but they eventually stop turning on. There is no trouble shooting them. Even googling the different colors and patterns it blinks in will give you no helpful results. For commuting, or non sweaty activities they’re amazing! Fast charging is very handy. I just wish they weren’t pushed as workout headphones, because they are definitely not!

There are better headphones with better warranties
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a pair of wireless powerbeats headphones and after about 3 or 4 months of wearing them the wire in the ear loop began sticking me in the earlobe. I returned the product to Geek Squad but found out they do not cover Beats by Dre since Apple bought them out. To make a long story short Apple would not cover the repair under the manufacturer warranty. I've have other wireless headphones and they have lasted much longer. I don't suggested spending money on these overpriced and overhyped generic earbuds.

Two thumbs down!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t waste your money! After dealing with the crappy tin can sound of the beats for 1 year they died three days after the one year warranty ran out. Sat on hold with apple for 1 hour only to be told..too bad..they can’t find my serial number in the system even though I had my serial number on my receipt. The beats are very cheaply made, sound awful, and Apple will not be there for you because they know it! I should’ve listened to other reviews before I wasted over $100!!

Really disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am on my second set of Powerbeats. I upgraded to the 3 after the volume control panel on my Powerbeats 2 broke. I really like the 2s and decided to stay with Powerbeats. After four months my 3s won’t turn on, won’t reset and I’ve been stuck using my cheapo wire earbuds. I’m really disappointed to buy two sets within 2 years. As much as they cost, I should still be using my first Powerbeats purchase. Unless I can get something resolved, I’m moving on to a different brand.

Horrible wireless headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will be my 5th pair of headphones that I've gotten from Apple. I've had to submit warrant defects five times now. Each pair I've gotten have been supposedly "new" but the same problem persists and I don't know what to do. The problem is the headphones stop working after a few weeks of use. They will first die randomly and the completely stop turning on, won't hold a charge at all. I wish I could just get my money back versus getting replacements. Do not waste your money on this product.

Broke in 3 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a older corded Beats that worked well but wanted a pair that were cordless as the cords were cumbersome. I received the cordless ones for Christmas. At first, I was thrilled with getting the wireless headphones. This week they started making weird noises. Today they made a high pitch noise and broke. Very disappointed with these.

Total garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought them and only lasted 2 months. Then it was replaced by Apple and those ones also lasted only 2 months. I really regret purchasing this garbage. There is warranty on it so I guess I will burn through another couple of them before the warranty expires - but now I have to buy another earphone as I need it in the gym at least six times a week and I need another one while this is being replaced (~10 days to turn it around). I will never buy any Beats products again. Total garbage.

DON'T BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES! This is my third pair of these POWERBEATS 3 and they have all broke in some way shape or form. They all had to be repaired through apple. I had my last pair for less than a month, on the first charge stopped working just outside of WORSTBUYS return policy on day 16. Bestbuy will not offer a service plan. Geek squad was useless. These headphones are garbage. You don't have to believe me just Google powerbeats 3 and see for yourself.

Worked Great!... For a few months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It must be some lack of water resistance, because I originally had the version 2s and had no problems, and after having these for a few months, they just began to die and flash a white light when I try to turn it on. After charging it and wearing them inside they were fine, but 5 minutes into my run they died again. For $100 you can get wireless headphones that might even sound better, or at least last longer than how long mine did.

Not for Workouts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend you do not buy purchase these headphones. I purchased these back in February and has Apple replaced them 4 times. I only use these for workouts and they only work for 2 weeks tops then they go out. Apple has replaced them for free each time, but these are not sweat resistant in the slightest and is a design flaw. It is frustrating to have to go to the gym with 2 pairs of headphones for when the beats go out I can still continue my workout.
