Active means so many different things to so many folks... So, the reason for my 5 Stars:dollar for dollar these perform well in the environments I use them in (running, indoor and out), biking, soccer training - obviously non game, etc. They are light enough and water resistant enough for these activities. Mind you, they're not a $300 over the ear model that will kill it on the bass nor noise cancelling. They are very good sounding and to date hold the bluetooth connection well. Overall, if this is similar to your needs, than I'd recommend them.

The other brands did not want to turn on half the time. I do wish the ear buds went farther in the ear. That will help improve sound quality. Sound quality isn't bad but can be better
