I purchased this item as a gift for my son. He has a pair of over ear Beats that he loves, so I thought the wireless sports model would meet his active lifestyle. He enjoys the flexibility of this model and how inconspicuous it is while still having a very similar sound quality. I like not being able to hear his music (smile).

The ear piece has broke twice. Had less than year. Can't find my ticket now so bestbuy won't warranty the 2nd pair. Learned my lesson.

When connected to iPhone 7 plus the music cuts in and out while I'm running. Kinda misses the mark if I can't move while using them.

Comfortable design, not worth the price tag

I'll start by saying that i have yet to find an earbud that stays in my ear while working out. A turn of the head or shift my weight just right and they fall out. The positive aspect of this item is that the design is great. It's slick, nice to look at, extremely comfortable and stays in my ears with the help of the rubber grip hooks. The fit and the look are about all I can praise though. I haven't found a reasonable bluetooth headset that sounds good and isn't too bulky to work out in. The Powerbeats 2 are no exception. The Beats Solo and the studio model sound great but they're inconvenient and impractical to exercise with. The Powerbeats I'm sorry to say are not worth the $200 price tag. They have no bass. They sound like a tin can and while vocals are clear, they don't sound pleasant. There was no warm sounding audio to be heard. I got these on Black Friday and even the discounted $99 price wasn't worth what I heard. A huge disappointment from a highly popular brand name. I'll still stick with my Sennheiser/Adidas sport WIRED headphones and the search will continue. Save yourself some money and look elsewhere. Don't fall for the hype.

I wanted some good quality headphones for the gym so I invested in these. Very good sound, fit pretty snug. The control glitches every now and then but not much of an issue for me since I don't really talk much at the gym. Overall, id recommend them to someone with an active lifestyle. :)

easily connects to laptop or iPhone, perfect while walking and getting things done around the house. fits comfortably in my ears and stays in place well. starts getting a little choppy or drops the connection if you are more than maybe 20 feet away from what you are connected to

    Not really sweat proof.

Been through two pairs already, think I'm going to return these, second pair, and ask for a refund. Checked the Beats website, many reviews complaining about the same issue. I'm guess the controls/microphone get sweat into them, which ends up ruining the controls. The microphone stopped working, and all the controls too. But right before, it would just act funny. Buttons wouldn't work right, and started to lower volume by itself, activate siri, then pause the tracks. Anyhow, aside form that, they're well designed and feel flexible and rugged enough to endure daily use, but not sure how long they'd last. I think I've had 2 weeks with the first pair, first week with the second. The bluetooth still works, so I can use them, just not control. To recap: - $200 for headphones without controls isn't worth it - Controls aren't sweat-proof - Sound quality is good, slightly bass heavy. - Comfortable and light-weight - Not suggested if you're an athlete, the controls will probably break.

I think by now most logical people know that Beats has typically been a style over substance at a premium price company. I received a Pill as a gift and vs. Bose SoundLink that significantly changed my opinion, Beats has a much better emphasis on substance now. I found the sound to be superior to the Bose once paired to my laptop using ITunes with equalizer; I was actually amazed at the clarity and mix of sound from such as small speaker. So when my old Bluetooth headphones were lost Plantronics backbeat go 2 I read the bad reviews of Powerbeats2 vs. Bluebuds X so I bought the Bluebuds X and comply tips. I did not have any fitment problems but the sound was lacking bass and good clarity, my Plantronics sounded better! So I returned them and bought the Beats powerbeats2. Took these out of the box, swapped out the ear tips for the largest ones, charged it for 15 minutes, connected to my phone. With the large tips able to get complete isolation seal and great ear fit. I was amazed at the difference, better clarity and bass than the Bluebuds X and higher volume level. At 200$ they are on the highest end of the sports Bluetooth spectrum but you do in fact get quite a rich and balanced sound for it with about as secure and light fit as Sets like these are very fit dependent to operate well and fits are very subjective to each individual. For me, I did get the noise isolation of the Bluebuds X but then I didn't have to fiddle constantly to maintain the fit while at the gym like I do with the Bluebuds as well. The Powerbeats2 sounded louder, fuller; more balanced while the Bluebuds had much more emphasis at the lower frequencies. Both sound great though and have no other equal in this category. The audio differences to me are are night and day. I thought more than the others, the Powerbeats2 had a great sound even when not securely fitted, but sealed really good with the large tips. I miss the complete seal, noise isolation I could get with the Bluebuds X's fitted with comply tips, but then the more balanced, fuller sound of the Powerbeats2 while having a fit I am not constantly fiddling with have these as my Bluetooth exercise set to beat.... Everyone will have different experiences with these sets as it's all about the fit. I have had better fits but I've never had a fit to where I don't have to fiddle with it again and again and I've never had a fit to where even if not completely sealed, the set still sounds very decent. The Powerbeats2 addressed these issues for me and after working with the bendable earhooks a bit; my seal has gotten much better as well. In time I will get some comply tips for these (the Bluebuds X ones are too big) and I believe it'll then become my perfect set.
