Poor Bass for Beats, surprisingly crisp otherwise

Now I have a pair of Beats Pro Studios so I know what type of bass reproduction to expect and that is most definitely not present with these. While I do like the rich bass in a lot of rap, hip-hop and EDM I do like several genres where i'd prefer to hear the rest of the range. Pretty much these are good for that stuff where you just want clarity (even then the highs leave a bit to be desired, though I am nitpicking a bit here.) The plus for these is that they do stay on my ears and that was the main idea for selecting this design. Another plus is the 15 min charge to get an hour of use out of them. (Full charge-up takes 90 minutes.) I will probably keep unless I find something with better price/performance that stays in the ear as well and with decent quality. These were quite the disappointment and hardly deserving of the Beats name. The signature sound of Beats is completely absent here.

I bought these for my husband on Black Friday. He works out daily, therefore they are used daily. They have great sound and are noise cancelling. The convenience of bluetooth while working out speaks for itself. Very happy with these, especially at the price I paid.

I love these things! Great for running or working out and haven't had a complaint about how them since buying! My first ones got washed in he laundry so I got a second pair. The other ones still work great and I only use them when I don't want to get my new ones tangled.

Terrible sound quality. The standard Apple ear buds sound much fuller and better than these. The technology is great, the fit is good, the look is good, but what's the point of all of that if the sound quality is way too bright with absolutely no bottom end? They will cause hearing loss because the only way to hear them is to crank them up, and then you only get a crazy bright high sound which will make your ears ring. Not worth the money at all until they can produce a fuller sound. I bought these because of all the great reviews. Who is reviewing these?? Clueless people with no ear for sound quality who want to look cool for the 2 weeks of the new year they will actually work out.

    Excellent wireless bluetooth headphone

The Beats Powerbeats Wireless bluetooth headphones are an excellent buy. They may be expensive; however, this wireless headphone is easy to set up and I am able to use this headphone both with my iPhone as well as my new Apple Watch. I already own another headphone by Beats and I can definitely say that Beats is a great brand to consider when purchasing a headphone set, especially a wireless bluetooth headphone set.

I received these as a gift for my workouts. I like the sound that comes out of them, but they lack bass (which is odd as they are called BEATS), so I returned them as they were not worth 200 in my opinion. I bought a wireless pair of another company that were 30.00 online and like them better.

I needed a new set of earbuds that would help me with my fitness routine. After doing some research, I purchased these Beats by Dr. Dre and they work great. The sound is amazing and best of all they stay in place while running. Definitely a good investment!

This is the 3 or 4th pair of headphones we bought for my husband. He has complained about all the others..."falls out of my ear, doesn't fit in my ear right, moves too much when I run:" He's had these Beats for over a month and I haven't heard a complaint yet! He wore them over the weekend for a half marathon and said nothing bad about them so that's a good thing. My next pair will be Beats!

    Just so so

Pro's - Sound is very good if you are in a quiet environment. - Comfortable Con's - If you are in a fairly noisy environment, forget these. - Maybe it's just my ears but I couldn't get them to 'seal' causing too much noise coming in from around me. - Just a terrible bluetooth connection. Easy to connect but it dropped in and out so much. It's like someone continually pausing and unpausing the music. Drove me nuts. The phone was in my pocket so within like 3 feet. Just aggravating. Bad with high bass

I have the original pair of powerbeats made by Monster and I believe they are much better. The powerbeats2 have good sound but songs with high bass, the sound has a lot of static. I believe it's due to the Bluetooth connection. I have an iPhone and these are both Apple products. One would think they would work better together. I have a new 2015 vehicle and my Bluetooth has the same issue with static in my truck. It is drastically different when wired plug in is used, whether in the vehicle or headphones. I am returning these the same day I bought them. It is not worth the money for that bad of sound. I guess it could possibly be an iPhone Bluetooth issue and I have the latest software update. Nevertheless it is not worth keeping the headphones for the money spent.

no way these are 4 stars

let me start by saying i didn't want beats. i had the higher end sony wireless in ear headphones that sounded pretty good but had the battery behind the neck. battery would slip off all the time. so, i bought the jaybird x2 - actually sounded better than the sony but despite trying all possible fit combinations i couldn't get good fit in one ear. so then i bought the jbl everest 1000 wireless in ear and they fit decent but not perfect. sound was okay but not great - they broke right after so i decided to these beats. i got the beats to fit okay and i liked the over the ear thing more than i expected. BUT - these headphones sound terrible. the vocal range is awful. truly awful. despite being the most expensive of all the options i tried they are easily the worst sounding headphones of the lot - by a long mile. if people are rating these headphones as 4 stars they simply haven't listened to other headphones. even assuming a bass heavy preference, these headphones suck. i can promise you that should they fit that the jaybird x2 are a vastly superior sounding headphone. the beats are comically bad. DO NOT BUY.

I like them just fine. They are easy to use and the sound is good. I don't think the battery life is the best, but they will last about 4 hours continuous. I like the over the ear supports so I can move and not worry about them falling off.
