For the price, the sound is no better than $15 ear buds. For the price, I would expect the sound to be fantastic; it isn't. I would also expect them to last longer than $15 ear buds; they didn't. I bought these about a year ago, and have taken very good care of them. I took them out of the case, and the ear piece fell off. These are not cheap. For the price, I would expect the sound to be fantastic, and that they would last much longer than 1 year. Yes they are convenient, but I would expect much better than I got with these ear phones. I will not purchase again. These are much too expensive for the sound, and for the quality.

This is my first wireless headset that I actually spent a chunk of money on, and honestly, I returned them within a few hours. Comfortable and great high, mids, and lows. But what the deal breaker was the poor bass quality. Personally I always thought they Beats were overrated, now I am positive they are. I guess I'm just one of those picky people who expect the most when spending this kind of money. I ended up swapping them out for the Jaybirds X3 but couldn't get to wear them comfortably, so finally I switched to Sony XB80BS Extra Bass Sports wireless. So far I can say they are surprisingly comfortable and I am satisfied with the overall sound quality. But this review is about the Beats. I honestly expected more for the money and do regret the purchase.

This product failed to meet my expectations. The signal continually cuts out. The customer support center was not heplful at all. In fact, the person I spoke with said, "Bluetooth signals do not pass through the human body and that is just the way the product is." Seriously? Of Bluetooth doesn't travel through the human body, how does my Bluetooth earpiece stay connected while my phone is in my backseat of my car - the signal travels through my seat and me. Come on dude. Second, they maybe stay in Lebron's ears while he sweats, they don't stay in mine. I'm constantly pushing them back in for a secure fit and the best sound. Sorry Apple/Dre your product still needs more work. I also purchased the JayBird BlueBuds X in February from Best Buy, the sound quality is much better actually.

I bought these reluctantly after seeing the price and the few negative reviews warning of issues with these. My wife got a pair and that pushed me to try them. I wear them while mountain biking and at the gym. They worked for a few months with no issues so I assumed those with problems were just unlucky or didnt take care of them. 5 months down the line, my volume/play buttons were going haywire suddenly. I would press pause and it would just get louder eventually, they stopped responding all together. Apple happily replaced them, I got mine new ones within a week. Then 3 months later, the same issue. I tried all of their reset options to fix it, nothing worked. I was frustrated and had lost most hope in these but Apple once again replaced it quickly. It was during the hottest months of the year, I ride in south Texas and sweat a good amount. These are supposed to be sweat proof but I'm really wondering if thats what is causing the issues. Its now October, I went out for a ride the other day, brought them home to charge fully but they never indicated they were full. I tried them the next day and they were totally dead, I charged again, it said full this time, rode my bike today and they were not only almost dead within an hour but the volume buttons were going crazy again. I'm talking to Apple support right now about ANOTHER replacement, this will be my 4th pair in less than a year. I don't have much faith in these. All that said, I like them when they work. I'm considering buying another pair if I can find them cheap around black friday and will just have to deal with the problems. I have no doubts the next pair will fail eventually. My wife's pair had the earpiece break mysteriously one day, Apple fixed hers for free also. She doesnt sweat much though so her pair has been fine otherwise. If you can, buy a different pair. If you really like these and don't sweat much you'll probably be fine. If you're like me and workout/ride hard expect these not to last much beyond a year.

For the price it looks like they (Beats) spent more on the packaging than they did on the product. I expected a lot more for the money. Got them today and returning tomorrow. I sat no more than 2 ft from my mac mini and the connection was awful. Just listening to the radio and it kept cutting out, the moment i moved one side would stop working, thought it might have been the internet connection, so i plugged in me iPhone headphones and there was no buffering and everything worked fine. I am Bose advocate but thought i would give these a go, my mistake back to Bose i go!

I was really excited when I purchased the PowerBeats. I workout 4-5x a week so wireless headphones seemed like the way to go. At first they were great! The sound was great, they worked well and the fit was really comfortable. But after a a few weeks the power button didn't turn on right and when it finally turned on, I wasn't able to turn it off. Then eventually it would only hold its charge for 30 mins before dying. If I am paying this much for a product, it should have lasted longer.

I returned these three times and will never purchase another pair of Beats EVER. The first pair stopped pairing after the third use. The second pair quit after the first use. The third pair, well let's just say they followed the first two. I have never been more disappointed in something that was so expensive. I was excited when my husband purchased us both a pair for Christmas because we both do a lot of running and working out. Ultimately we want to compete in an Ironman and will need something that can stand the paces. I guess the final straw was when I went to return the second pair and was advised that the extended warranty was no longer available on the Beats from Best Buy. I have been very disappointed with this purchase and will stick with my LGs.

Had headset for 4mos and snapped by earpiece. Sound quality is excellent but bad rating because of horrible Apple experience. Apple had to send it in and said I would have to pay an additional 99+tax for replacement.

I purchased a pair of powerbeats2 wireless headphones for me to use when I workout and I was highly disappointed. It has a nice look to it and fits just right but the quality is horrible. If you ask me, I say it's a waste of money. Better off buying a cheap pair of headphones for the same quality. If you you want good sound, purchase a pair of beats studio wireless. Those are much better than the powerbeats 2. If the sound was good for the powerbeats2 I would have rated 5 stars but the sound is bad so I give it 3 stars. Don't waste your money on these. Not worth it

After reading reviews, I decided to purchase these when they were on sale. I read reviews that the sound (importantly the bass) was good, but I doubted this given that Beats headphones in general have a reputation for subpar sound. This turned out to be true; compared to the standard Apple iPhone headphones and my Bose wired noise cancelling headphones, the bass wasn't crisp at all. Also, I bought these primarily as workout headphones, and after about 20 minutes or so, the over-the-ear clip felt like it was pinching my ear. If you run/workout for an hour or more, this could definitely be a problem. Luckily Best Buy has a great return policy so I didn't feel like I was risking anything by trying them out.

Better than earbuds. Had them now for two months and have not had any issues. The sound is awesome and I don't have to worry about the cord as I am working out. Good range! Gave it four out of five stars because I found them to be a bit costly.

I will return the second ones I got after return the first ones, because did not worked fine,it was impossible to use the microphone, this second pair after two weeks the volume control is not working.

I really like my beats wireless, but they could be better. the sound is good, but its missing that great bass I would expected from beats. the fit takes a bit of getting used to, but all and all I would buy these again if they were on sale.

Headphones are my hobby. I have bought and used just about every kind. (My current favorite still are the in ear Bose active noise canceling ones.). Was looking forward to these because of wireless aspect. Sound quality surprisingly good for a set without noise cancellation feature. For music, excellent (as wireless freedom resulted in no perceived loss in sound quality). Problem is video. The lag in sound is so bad that it renders video unwatchable. Not even close to today's market standards for wireless headphones. Don't buy, or you will return, just like I did.
