These Beats so expensive and so poor...

... crafted, I've returned already 2 pair of these headphones... and since they already are past the 1 year warranty, they will be not covered any more by Apple... well played Beats... Issues: the volume/skip song control stopped working just before a couple of uses They won't turn off, this happens a couple of times.

I purchased this at my BB store. After getting it charged and paired with my cell phone, both sides work great.

Worked twice and died. Not great for workouts. It will not work well with perspiration. Sounded great when it worked. Watch Youtube before you buy one of these. Battery replacement is common with these things. Zero confidence in this product. Go with Bose wireless.

Great sound, don't like over-ear style

I have several ear buds. These are fine but I tend to use others instead. They are good when working out but I prefer a wing-tip design. Jabra's true wireless are far superior for every-day use Pros- Great sound Good battery life Cons- Corded Over-ear style is good when working out but is bulky for everyday use and takes two hands to "install"

    Good sound but uncomfortable

I use these when working out and if I turn my head the wire tends to get stuck on my shirt and pulls. For an hour workout they are good but I’ve worn them while doing work around my house for longer and they start to hurt my ears. The sound is awesome but due to how uncomfortable they are and how the wire snags on clothing I would buy something different

Great battery life! Terrible sound quality!

12 hr battery life and the Beats name us what sold me on making the purchase. But as soon as I listened to them I returned them right away. The sound quality was awful. Tinny and no bass at all. I have owned $30 Skullcandys that sounded better. Not worthy of the $200 price tag

    Horrible

I had these for maybe 3 months before they started lasting a half hour on a full charge. I go to the gym everyday for at least 2 hours and I need headphones that can keep up, these are NOT it. They were sent out to get fixed and lasted only a week before breaking again.

    They break easily

    Posted .

I used them constantly and after 4 months they are falling apart and not holding up. I mainly used them at the gym. There is an exposed wire coming out already from simple wear and tear. Sent them to apple for repairs and they dont fix anything that has to do with cosmetics. Although they are falling apart on their own after just 4 months.

I bought these headphones back in January The sound quality is awesome The durability is awful At the 3rd month the hook on the left broke and then the right one slowly broke also I bought another pair since there were on sale and bam! The hooks broke also! One of my pairs the left side went off you could hear it but very low... my first pair it’s stuck in safe mode or what ever mode is it on I’m not able to pair them or turn them on? I looked up on YouTube on how to fix them and can’t find a solution why or how? I called apple but they don’t even know what’s going on... to repair them will cost me so much that I’ll rather buy a new pair. But not these though These are the worst!

    Don’t Sweat

I love my Beats, and they sound great, but they don’t last. I workout hard and sweat a lot. Every pair I’ve owned, regardless of version, has failed within 6 months due to sweat. It’s the same issues every time. The in workout issues include, random power off’s, volume adjusting randomly, inability to lower volume, inability to change songs, inability to make any adjustment using the built in controls. Apple market’s to athletes and show althetes dripping sweat in the commercials. The reality is that if you workout and you sweat, these are not for you. If you disregard my experience, plan on sending them back to Apple at least once in the first year and then you are out of warranty. You’ve been warned!

On my third pair !!!! So annoying. Love them when they’re working but they’ll stop working out of nowhere. Apple has replaced one pair in the recent past but now that pair has stopped while one a business trip. Mainly used for the gym and during flights. Expensive waste of time and money. Very frustrating

Only Work for 6 Months - Garbage

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought these in March of 2017 for $149 as I had a competitor match that saved me $50. They worked great with some minimal cutout when outside, but that was likley due to the bluetooth signal. Unless they were in my ears or charging, they were kept in the provided case - never dropped, smashed or damaged. About 6 months after purchase they would not power on, would not charge, no light, nothing. I took them to Apple Genius Bar and they shipped them off as they were under warranty. Recieved a different pair back a week or so later. Here we are about 6 months later and these pair are doing the same thing. I knew the original 1 year warranty was up on the March purchase, but wasn't sure what the warranty was on the replacement pair. Wasted 2 hours of my time today at Keystone Apple Store to be told they could not send for repair as the replacement pair only carry a 90 day warranty. $99 to have them repair. Unfortunately these are garbage in my experinece. I will never buy a Beats product again. Just picked up some Bose wireless earbuds - hope these will hold out and they stand behind their product.

    Poor quality

I have tested out three bluetooth earphones to fit my everyday commute and workouts. I have tested the Jaybird x3, Bose SoundSport, and these earphones, the Beats Powerbeats 3. It is safe to say that the Beats Powerbeats 3 are in last place, by far. I am almost convinced that everyone who is satisfied with these earphones have not listened to the excellent sound quality of the Jaybird x3 or the Bose SoundSport. I give these earphones 2 stars because I found it convenient that they wrap around my ears. But I must say, this was the only aspect about these earphones that made them even decent. The bass is lacking and the comfort of the ear tips was just not there for me. If you are looking for a solid pair of workout earphones, I must recommend the Bose SoundSport or the Jaybird X3s.

    Died in 6 months

I had the PB2 and they were great. Lasted maybe 18 months before they stopped holding a charge - I’m a heavy user, using them for daily commute and workouts. So I bought the PB3. In less than 6 months, the right speaker went out. These are too expensive for that kind of thing. My son stopped using his PB3 because once he started to get a good sweat on during his workout, they turn off. Again, that’s a lot of cash for such spotty performance. May be because the PB3 seem much less solid than the PB2 - don’t even have a flap to keep water out of the charge port. Too many good wireless headphones out there now to plunk down $100 and hope it works for a couple months.

A formerly good product ruined by "upgrade"

I've owned the Powerbeats2 for over two years. The sound quality is amazing. Unfortunately, they can't stand up to the rigor of daily hiking and workouts. They still work but I figured I'd get the Powerbeats3 and keep the 2's as a spare. I could not believe the poor sound quality of the 3's. No bass, horrible "tin-can" midrange and very little treble. I compared with the 2's on the same song and its not even close. A complete redesign for the worse. What good is longer battery life if you ruin the essence of the product, its full-range sound quality???
