Amazing Sound But........
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned the original Power Beats and had nothing but problems with having to exchange them every 3 months until I just gave up on them and went with the Jaybirds but sound quality on those weren't as good so when the PB3 came out i figured the issues would be fixed by now. Well I have had them just a month and it seems like they are not as sweat proof as Beats claims because half way into a 3 hour bike ride they start shutting off then the volume buttons wouldn't work so i guess ill be changing these out every month until the warranty is over. again when working they are the best sounding earbuds out but just dont sweat on them because they are not sweat proof as they claim.

Sorry, can't hear, music is playing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love these beats. We used to have the over the ear ones that came out 2 years ago and they fell apart. These are perfect, less bulky, and the sound quality is great....and we got them for $99.99...can't beat the price.

Issues with Android
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these and returned them 2 days after purchase. The sound quality was great (I have an over-the-ear pair of Beats so I expected this), the volume and call controls worked flawlessly, the call quality was great, and the 12 hour battery life was the real selling factor. All of this is meaningless though as they would repeatedly drop the Bluetooth connection with my Galaxy S8. The longest I was able to get them to stay connected was about 30 minutes. When I returned them I was told that this is a common issue for Android devices and Beats wireless headphones. I replaced them with a pair of Tarah Pro wireless sport headphones (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/jaybird-tarah-pro-wireless-in-ear-headphones-black-flash/6289924.p?skuId=6289924). They have a 14 hour battery life, and the sound quality is better than the Beats. In addition, you can download the Jaybird app and it allows you to use a custom EQ (as well as many presets and community submitted configurations), connects to Spotify so you can access your music through their app, has a "find my earbuds" feature, and works with Google Assistant. The Beats were on sale for $119.00, and the Tarah's were $159.00, so they were more expensive, but the overall quality seems better and I'm almost 2 hours into listening to music with no issues. In addition, I was able to purchase Geek Squad protection for these and I couldn't do that with the Beats.

Not a good sport headphone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am never the one to come online and write reviews, especially negative ones. I feel as though i have to after the experience i have had with both Powerbeats 2&3... I train hard and sweat a lot at the gym, these headphones broke after only 2 uses at the gym! The powerbeats 3 are supposed to have a 12 hr battery life, i charged them for 4 hours and they died within an hour of me being at the gym!! the same thing happened with my first two pairs of 2's as well!! I am finally returning my powerbeats 3 and moving on to a new brand. I love the look of these headphones but they are absolutely terrible. Do not buy if you sweat a lot during training they are NOT water proof! I recommend different headphones for everyone...

Disappointing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always run or worked out with regular headphones with a cord. I was super excited to go wire free with these new wireless Beats. Totally disappointed after the first month when they stopped working after 30 minutes. Did a "reset" and still no luck. Plugged in for 48 hours, lasted 25 minutes. BestBuy wont take them back as defective. Apple who owns them now says I have to send them back for "repair." Now I'll be without headphones for a week or two. For the price..$169, these are NOT worth the hassle. Don't waste your money. I get that sometimes stuff happens with electronics but they need to put their customer first and make the return process easier.

Love them
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is phenomenal love the color. Case seems to be VERY POORLY MADE so I won't use that. Loud enough for me. And I shouldn't have any issues working out with them on they are very secure.

Worked great at first, but after 2 months not.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones on September 13th of this year. The sound was great and really got me through my workouts. I was very happy with the headphones. Then out of the blue this past Monday 11/20 they just stopped working. They will not power on no matter what I do. I plug them in to charge and that doesn't work either. I see many people on this review board are having difficulties with these headsets. Very disappointed, as I had the regular Beats headphones for over 2 years with no problems. Buyer beware!

No More Beats Products
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second pair of Beats headphones to have problems. My first pair were wired over-the-ear headphones and after about 8 months one of the headphones stopped working or the volume would randomly go up and down during my workouts. I should have taken that as a sign but I went ahead and upped it to the wireless headphones when I got the iPhone 7 Plus because of the lack of a headphone jack on the iPhone. After 2 months of 4-5 times per week use at the gym the left side that goes above your ear came apart and the wires started poking me in the top of the ear. I used athletic tape to wrap them back up as I had just gone over my warranty. Then, about a week later the piece that sticks into your ear just randomly broke while I was taking them out of their case. So I have a $150 set of earphones that I had to tape AND glue back together within a year of purchase. I have a $10 backup set of okay sounding JVC headphones that has lasted me 4 years (twice as long) under the same treatment of both sets of my broken Beats headphones. Should have saved myself the $300+ dollars and just dealt with bad sound, I guess.

Secure fit comes with a price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these on sale. So I think powerbeats are a fantastic option for people who exercise or do alot of movement. They securely fit on to your ears. Because of this, or maybe it's just me, I have to get them on my ears and mold the ear flap to where it stays on my ears so it's not an "up and go" pair of earphones. They are NOT meant for long uses. They fit snug so you definitely feel it's there. But as for using for an hour or two, it's the best. They aren't going ANYWHERE lol. Phone calls and music sounds crisp and clear and people can clearly hear me. The fast charging is a plus as well.

2 new pairs of Apple Powerbeats 2 were defective
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased Apple Powerbeats 2 in February, 2016 at a cost of $150.00 for use at the gym. By April, 2017 the ear bud broke for no apparent reason. The ear bud simply broke off from the earpiece and was hanging by the wires. Apple replaced it at their cost. In August, 2018 the same breakage occurred with the replacement pair. I did not do anything to damage the ear bud and cannot explain why the ear bud was again dangling from the earpiece. Apple refused to replace the defective unit. Apple stated they would sell me a replacement for $116.00. I checked on line reviews of Powerbeats from another retailer and the same defect was claimed by other purchasers of Powerbeats . Based on my experience and the experience of other people complaining of the same defect, I would never pay $150 for another pair of any Powerbeat model. Anyone can purchase similar style of gym headphones for less than $30 with a great review and user rating, and guaranteed to work with iPhones and iPad Pros. At a cost of $30, they are disposable even if they only last a year. I have purchased 7 Apple products, from an iPad pro to a Macbook pro. I prefer Apple products but these headphones have a manufacturing defect and have a limited life in relation to the amount they cost at $150.

Returning this item!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It could just be my pair of buds that were faulty, but everywhere else on line I saw bad reviews but still wanted to try them. At first, they were good! They were the wireless headphones I had been searching for. I didn't get to use them much the first couple of weeks. But the third week, in fact today, the day I am writing this review, they went to Hades in a hand basket. The earbuds started when I fully charged the buds and then two days later they would die after an hour's worth of use. But I figured maybe my sister had used them or something so i thought nothing of it. Well just yesterday I set them to charge all day so i could use them for work the next day. Well I turn them on and about 30 minutes in i get the low battery sound and then 30 seconds later they die. That was no where near 12 hours worth of battery. Unless they are meaning the battery lasts only 12 hours after it is fully charged being used or not. I am very disappointed. I had high hopes for these. They aren't all bad. The sound is pretty good. I had to use rubber ear buds from a different set of buds so they would seal in my ear which helped the sound immensely. But battery life was the main reason I got these. I will see what BestBuy lets me do if I can do with a different brand or try another pair. If I have to stay with the powerbeats I pray the battery in my first pair was faulty.

works great until you sweat
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is great, but it is not sweat proof. If you use these to work out and you sweat on them, they stop working and must be replaced.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the power beats 2 and in my mind they were one of the best earbuds ever made. When it was time for a new pair I purchased the power beats 3 and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. The build is poor compared to previous models and the sound was less than expected. Yes the battery lasts insanely long but the overall product went downhill and I ended up returning them.
