I'd like to give a great review for ease of use and sound quality, but the ear buds are dead after just 6 months.

They mess up too often. Apple needs to replace them every 3 months. I have used Jaybirds in the past and have had a great use of them. I bought these when those broke after 2 years. I should've stayed with Jaybird.

    Unreliable for working out

Used for 30 days with no issues (running on treadmill for 45 - 60 minutes, 3 to 4 times per week). After the first month, even on a full charge (that should last up to 12 hours), the Powerbeats would turn off after 40-45 minutes and would not turn back on for several hours. When I could get them to turn back on and I paired them up with my iPhone 7, the battery app showed that the paired headphones were still over 90% charged. I've seen others attributing issues to them not handling sweat well, so maybe this is the issue, but overall, I haven't found them to be a reliable product as someone who works out often.

    good headphones. ENGLISH 122

Jakob Maltese Professor Rope 2/28/2020 English 122 Power Beats 3 Headphones I have been using the power beats earbuds for almost a year now. The headphones I purchased are the color white and have undergone multiple scenarios that could have proven challenging for these headphones. These headphones claim to be great for working out, harsh weather, water resistance, and a long batter life. Thought my time of owning these headphones I have tested each of these claims. In a numerical rating system with the highest rating being five and the lowest rating bring zero, I would rate these headphones a four out of five. I primary use these headphones for working out and they undergo sweat exposure and sometimes I drop them on a floor or hit them on something. While working out I have not found a failure from the headphones. The headphones are water resistant and it aids the claim of being great for working out because the headphones become exposed to moisture. However, these headphones are not waterproof and can still fail if exposed to a large amount of moisture. While using the headphones they are comfortable and can be adjusted as needed by the user. I am located in Colorado and the climate of Colorado can be very harsh and become very cold. The headphones claim to be weather resistant and this claim has been proven to be true. I have used the headphones in the harsh winter and the headphones have not failed. The main thing people look for in a quality pair of headphones is the sound quality. The sound quality is some of the best I’ve heard coming form earbuds. I would give the sound quality its self-four and a half out of five. The product is hard to use when wearing any types of glove, gloves make the buttons on the headphones harder to operate. The buttons on the devise are small and people with big hands may have a hard time pressing the right button. Sometimes I find myself accidentally pressing two buttons on accident. The buttons are also hard to operate when wearing specific hats as well. Over the year my dog has gotten a hold of the headphones and began to chew them. Once I discovered this I realized the cushions have been removed from the device left shredded in pieces. The device was found disformed which made it hard to secure the cushions to the headphones. The headphones are made well and have good construction and still work and preform as advertised just with slight comfort errors. I have also encountered a blue tooth connection error. Sometimes the connection will stop out of nowhere leading the earbuds to un pair from my device. There is a simple solution to this, its easy to just repair the two devices but it still seems unnecessary and is a problem that I fell can be fixed. Overall the power beats three preform very well and is a very well pair of earbuds. They live up to their claims and also preform great quality. After doing research, other buyers have also had mostly positive responses to the product. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable, sturdy, and well-made pair of headphones. This is why I give the power beats three ear buds a four out of five rating.

Bought device March of this year, and worked fantastically, however. Device no longer holds a charge after less than 4 months with it. Such a shame I really liked it. Had hope to resolve the issue but could not.

Had these less than 3 weeks and they died. Won't play or charge. Since I was 2 days past the 15 allowed by Best Buy I was told I have to deal with Apple on their warranty. Overall disappointed with both companies.

This is my second pair in less than nine months. The first pair lasted less than 6 months(no sound in right ear.) My 14 yr old son bought me another pair for Father’s Day as a surprise because he knew the first pair were broken. They lasted a month(won’t power on) and yes I tried resetting them. When I asked him for the receipt so I could return them, he gave it to me and mentioned that he tried to buy an extended warranty, but Best Buy wouldn’ t sell him one because of “reliability issues.” What happened to Apple reliability? At least Best Buy is wise...

I purchased some Power Beats 3 ear buds to work out with. They don't always auto connect to your Bluetooth item. They always seem to require you reset them before used, in order to Bluetooth them again!

This is not a good product if you have a Samsung phone. It turns on them never turns off. After a few days the volume drops and there's nothing you can do.

Really bummed and wanted these to work out for me, but I have gone through 2 sets in 4.5 months. The first pair died a slow painful death over its 2 month life — skipping songs, randomly increasing and decreasing volume, turning itself off and on. The 2nd pair just died out of the blue after a couple of months — at least its demise was quick. Now waiting on yet another replacement pair... but have been let down by these so much that I can’t trust them.

I loved these until the little hook that goes around your ear broke up. I’ve had them for two years now so maybe it has a short cycle? Both are broken now so I use it without it.

The headphones lasted me a whole 3 weeks before they gave out and wouldn't turn back on. I charged them all night thinking it was a battery low issue but still same problem. Apple won't fix or exchange on spot either you must send them out to get looked at and then they will return a new pair if they find an issue. Complete nonsense. And god forbid your pass 15 day mark Bestbuy won't exchange them either. Worst experience I have ever had with any product. I will be selling my new pair whenever they arrive. What's the point of getting workout headphones but you can sweat on them.

At 5 months, sound no longer worked. Had to do a reset and the bass never came back. At 7 months, the resets no longer work. Best Buy repackaged the product in a box that does not match the actual serial number...that is printed in black on a black band!! Apple will does not want to honor the warranty and Best Buy can't be bothered to help. If you waste your money, at least open the box before you leave to confirm the serial number on the device matches the box.
