They fell apart so easily, I took great care of them but the plastic over the ear parts fell off after a couple months, then in a few more months the microphone stopped working, and finally after only 9 months they completely stopped working for no reason, they would charge and turn on for a second then turn off. Because there was so much damage to them at this point, even though they were under warranty and I didn't cause any of the damage apple still wanted to charge me $100 to repair/replace them. I also recommended them to a friend around a month after I got mine because none of the issues had happened yet and the same thing happened to hers in a span of only 3 months. I would absolutely not recommend this product to anyone, please get literally any other pair of headphones.

I am on my second pair of these headphones. I purchased them because they claim to be water and sweat resistant. THEY ARE NOT SWEAT RESISTANT (SWEAT PROOF). I cant claim anything about their water resistance, but I sweat a lot. I jog regularly and the headphones end up covered in sweat. The first pair stopped charging and since they were under warranty I had them replaced by apple 4 times. They kept getting messed up and were replaced FOUR times. After a year, once the warranty ended, I purchased a new pair 3 weeks ago. Now the same thing is happening with this pair. THEY ARE NOT SWEAT PROOF.

Apple took it and messed it up again, sound quality sucks compare to when Monster Cable and Dr. Dre made them the right way. The quality of these Beats have lost all its respect from more then people like me. I love the gym and these headphones simply DO NOT. The sound quality is gone, the connectivity sucks, and I'm simply not happy with them. I can easily say the BOSE soundsport pulse is way BETTER, thanks for making me switch again Apple, Bose is just the way to go if you want it all in a speaker.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The product has poor quality and reliability it failed after 7 months. Apple offers 1-year warranty in which is a headphones repair. There is no way to ask for a refund or replacement because Apple is very strict on their policies. After they repair the product, the product will keep the same warranty, and if the product fails again they just charge a lot money for repairs and this is not fair. These are the last headphones that I buy of this brand. Please consider BOSS, JBL these are real quality brands and they have better customer service and care.

They shut off the minute you sweat in them. Best Buy is giving me the run around with replacing or even repairing them. They promote these as workout sweat and water resistant headphones and less than 20 minutes into my workout they cut off because of sweat. If you want workout headphones I wouldn’t recommend these at all! They aren’t that loud either. Just a horrible purchase all around. I’ll never purchase beats again and after the hours spent on hold and multiple unnecessary trips into the store to resolve this problem I will never purchase anything from Best Buy again.

Please don't buy. I am about to get my fourth set of Powerbeats 3 wireless (replaced by warranty by apple - No complaints here), however they last around 10 weeks if you are using them while working out (jogging, walking, etc). I am extremely careful with the earphones, and despite of that it will come a moment where they WILL FAIL (not turning ON anymore, not connection to Bluetooth anymore, disconnecting from phone frequently, etc, etc). I regret I purchased this device (I really do). Can't used them frequently because I need to replace them often because yes.... They will fail.... (BTW this happened to my friends as well, I am not alone here and you won't be either....)

I am never the one to come online and write reviews, especially negative ones. I feel as though i have to after the experience i have had with both Powerbeats 2&3... I train hard and sweat a lot at the gym, these headphones broke after only 2 uses at the gym! The powerbeats 3 are supposed to have a 12 hr battery life, i charged them for 4 hours and they died within an hour of me being at the gym!! the same thing happened with my first two pairs of 2's as well!! I am finally returning my powerbeats 3 and moving on to a new brand. I love the look of these headphones but they are absolutely terrible. Do not buy if you sweat a lot during training they are NOT water proof! I recommend different headphones for everyone...

I have heard Beats is an up and coming brand so I decided to switch from Bose. Biggest mistake ever. When I got them they were not near the quality sound of the Bose, but I thought they are not as expensive so I may as well live with the sound quality. I then started to loos the bluetooth as does not stay connected when I am working in the yard. I really wish I never would have purchased these headphones, I guess you get what you pay for. If I could give these a zero I would. Should have expected it with Labron James putting his mane on it, these are as worthless as he is.

Returning my second pair... returned the first pair after one week and they wouldn't play 30 minutes on a 4 hr charge. The second pair immediately started acting up: day 1 only went 5 hrs of play on a full charge, day 2 started getting static and then cutting out, finally they just shutoff and had to be reset to get going again, day 3 the volume is jumping from 0 to 8 after 30 minutes of play time, acting like the inline control is faulty because all I have to do is touch the cord to get the volume to unpredictably go up or down. I am bummed, I had the PowerBeats 2 and my only knock on them was the battery life. Talked with Apple support each time and all they can do is have you reset them or return them.

Lasted a few months with good battery and operation. Eventually Volume buttons stopped working and every time I connect to any device the volume gets turned down automatically.

I've had these headphones for 7 months and used them for everyday use. They worked great up until the microphone stopped working and had to sent it to Apple Care. I was very disappointed that they didn't want to fix the issue because the ear hook had a slight tear. They considered it "physical damage" and would not even bother finding the cause of issue until I paid the 99$ for them to take a look at it since the warrant didn't cover it if they had any "physical damage". I am more surprised that apple care doesnt value customer service and instead find ways to charge their customers. NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND these headphones to anyone.

The Quality isn't very good. From the cable, to the pouch it comes with now. The sound is really flat. Going to the gym and hearing less music more surrounding noises was very disappointing. I will be returning these ASAP and buying something better.

It was a toss up between these and the Bose soundsports. I went to Best Buy with all intentions of getting the soundsports. 2 C/S reps talked me into getting the Beats. I got home, paired them to my phone and I was dissapointed. I tried all 4 pairs of buds they come with, I even adjusted the sound on my phone. They're very cheap sounding. They have no bass to them at all, very fake sound almost echoing. I went back not an hour later and got the Bose Sound Sports. I couldn't be happier. Went for my workout at the gym and did an hour of cardio without them slipping once. I should have saved my time and just got the Bose in the first place. Stay away from these. They're so not worth it.

DO NOT BUY THESE! just go ahead and spend a bit more to get the bose! these are trash! and it is ridiculous that the 3rd generation dont even sound as good as the 2nd generation. They just have a better design....and with this I mean that apple realized the plastic over the the microphone of the 2nd generation was trash that MELTS!!! IT MELTS!!! and even though it is their poor design and material quality they dont stand behind their trash product and want to charge over 220$ for a repair...which is only a rubber cover for the volume controls!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! GO WITH A COMPANY THAT DOES BELIEVE IN IT OWN PRODUCT!!!

Right out of the box they will feel cheap compared to previous model (which I had for two years and still work fine). Absolutely no difference in music quality. No cover on the recharge port, more susceptible to sweat/water. Not what happened to mine by the way. They would've been fine (but not any better than previous model) if they still worked. Only two months nearly to the day and they don't work any more? Just quit. Best buy won't replace them. Very disappointed in BB and Beats. Buy the previous model or try a different brand.

Let me start of by saying I take care of my electronics way too much. These beats look very nice but I have gone through 2 of them due to what I believe sweat getting in them. I used them for running and I do sweat a lot. The first one would not charge after using them for 6 months. I got a replacement from the apple store within warranty and those went bad after 6 months. They are out of warranty and I am not going to risk buying another pair. I will try another brand that is IPX rated. If you're looking for sweat proof or water resistant, look elsewhere.

These headphones are pretty good in terms of audio quality especially bass but when it comes to durability these will not last you more than a year and that's a guarantee. Originally I purchased over the ear beats and they broke and i even told myself i wouldn't buy beats again. For what ever reason I decided to purchase these around ear and guess what they just stopped working and wouldn't charge no matter what I did.

DONT BUY These.. they are not worth the price i bought them to see if it was worth the price and they are not, my Soundpeaps Q12 sound better and they cost $20 another reason is that they are not truly water proof, the volume control is poorly built and allows sweat or water get in and short the whole device, you would be better off saving your money and getting some soundpeaps on amazon or get some JBL/Jaybirds.. these are just a fashion statement

I received these buds as a Christmas present last December. Within three months the end cap broke off the ear piece. I attempted to contact someone with Apple, the retailer, and a "repair geek" 140 miles away. No one was able or willing to help me. I glued the piece back on myself. Then last week the buds would not charge. After leaving them on the charger all night they did take a charge that lasted a couple of hours. Now they will not charge at all. Even thought they are still in warranty, I am tossing them and searching for something more durable. These are junk.
