Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Pro Over-the-Ear Headphones' excellent sound quality, including the superb bass response and overall comfort. Many appreciate the comfortable fit, although some find them a bit heavy or large. The headphones are praised for their immersive audio experience. While some users noted the weight, the positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs these concerns.

I've owned head phones, always bought good quality. Yea Dr. Dre's are a bit pricey, But let me tell ya I never heard my music like I hear it now. I hear things I didn't know where on the tracks. You put these head sets on turn up the vol, its like sitting in a room surrounded by speakers. If the price don't scare you, an your a music lover who really wants to get in an get lost in your tunes...Go for it. There worth it. And the cored attachments are a big plus.

    Uncomfortable.

These headphones sound and look awesome. They are just too heavy and squeezed my head too hard. I was so reluctant to return these headphones. But I stopped using them. They were a hassle. The cable was awesome, but not ControlTalk. I put them in my backpack, and nothing else could fit. They are 50x better than Studios. No sound leakage. Everything was exceptional about them except for comfort. They are bulky and heavy. The are solid, built nicely. It's a shame they were not more comfy cuz they look, sound awesome. But a hour train ride was the limit.

these headphones are great! there is a perfect balance between bass, mids, and highs. rap music sounds great, rock music bangs, and jazz sounds smooth and full. i am very pleased with these headphones. if you are willing to pay up, these things will impress you for sure

If you are a person who likes his or her music then this is the very product for you. It allows you to enjoy the music as you like it without anyone else sharing the experience with you. I already own some other very high priced headphones that I thought was the best they could be then I tried these just to see if they were ok at best. Wow did I get a big surprise. Great sound and comfort and great value. They aren't cheap but anything worth having isn't cheap anyway. Also get yourself a warrantee with anything that cost this much..

    Not worth the money

These headphones are outrageously expensive and not worth the price. The only positives I have found are two fold: 1. Ability to daisy chain them with other headphones 2. Extremely durable Other than that, the sound quality is comparable to that of a Sennheiser or Shure at half the price. They are the most uncomfortable headphones I have ever owned. They don't swivel or fit the ear well. The cans kinda go over the ear but kinda go on them. They are extremely heavy and can hurt the neck after awhile. I also have a small head but they are way too tight with too much pressure. I have since returned them for the $320, noise-canceling version, and have no regrets! What a gimmick these are!

    Refined Beats Sound

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The sound is a bit more balanced and less bass heavy than Beats’ other headphone offerings. These cans are much more suited for studio monitoring and mixing. With that being said you have a fuller range of sounds (highs, mids, & lows) with these than the Studio or Solo Beats. The solid steel and aluminum construction of these headphones also makes them a bit heavier than the the other Beats offerings. I also find the Pro’s feel a bit tight after prolonged use and I’ll have to take them off to give my ears a little rest.

    Versatile and durable

This is a great, versatile pair of headphones. Big, full sound and built like a rock. I also have a $700 pair of Grado RS1i's and I grab my Beats Pro's 90% of the time. The Grado's are AMAZING, but require a lot of power to drive properly and being an open design require a very quiet listening environment. When listening to the Grado's, everyone else in the room gets to listen as well. With the Beats Pro's I often listen while laying right next to my wife in bed and she has never complained. The Beats completely enclose the ear and are perfect for noisy environments. On my iPhone I use an app called LouderLogic which gives an amazing amount of versatility over the equalizer and I can get great sound out theses headphones for pretty much any type of music. The only downfall is they can be a little heavy after extended listetning and if you have larger ears I can see why others have complained about comfort. Fortunately my ears fit inside the cup with no pressure. There is almost no plastic anywhere in the design which makes them extremely durable and even after a year of loud listening there is no detectable damage to the drivers. I had a pair of Beats solo HD's and they lasted about 3 months before the plastic cracked and the drivers started to "buzz." Another great feature is the foldable design. The connection is very well designed and after many, many times folding and cramming into my backpack has not loosened at all. I also love the fact that a friend can plug into the other ear cup preventing the need for a splitter. And they look pretty good!

These are great if you want deep extended bass

These oftentimes get bad reviews from audiophiles. I dont think thats fair. They are great headphones if you want extended bass. Very well made and they do reduce much of the outside noise you encounter. Are they perfectly balanced, no but neither are most other headphones. I have Senn 600 and 650's and Denon 7000 all of which are much higher rated but I enjoy the Beats just as much depending on my mood/music/location. They are easy to drive and both my Zunes and Ipods can easily drive them. While I admit they sound better with a external headphone amp one is not really needed. If your taste is towards heavy bass you will love these.

    Completely unbiased review

The Beats by Dre Pro headphones are "ok" for professional use. These are not good headphones for the casual listener, because they are not comfortable (way too heavy). I would not even consider them good headphones for professional use due to the enhanced bass that a professional would not want. A flat sound, which none of the Beats by Dre headphones offer, would be ideal for professional use. The Beats by Dre Pro headphones do offer decent passive noise isolation and features, These headphones are similar to the Beats Mixr in the sense that they are both uncomfortable, both feature daisy chaining, both don't require batteries, and they both are well built. They are stylish, just like all the other Beats headphones, but just simply don't perform up to their asking price. Overall, I would not recommend these headphones to anyone.

    Pro's over Studios

I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I listened to both the Studios and Pros for quite a while at Best Buy and I decided the pros were definitely worth the extra money. Better bass and a much fuller sound. If you want Beats go with pros, you won't be dissapointed

    Best Sounding Headphones

I have used these headphones for 2 days now and I am blown away from the clarity and bass response. I wanted to buy the Solo Beats, but I decided to go for it and get the Pro Beats instead. I have not purchased headphones in about 8 years, so I definitely wanted to make an informed choice before I spent $400, which was unheard of back then. I believe you get what you pay for and you definitely get the best sound quality from the Pro Beats. I do recommend getting the Geek Squad Protection, since these headphones are not cheap by any means; these headphones are an investment, why not have the piece of mind to protect them.

Great headphones. Sound quality is amazing. My only complaint is the case. It like what the heck I just dropped 400 dollars on them and I get a soft case. I had to buy another case online from slappa for the right case. Check my channel on YouTube type in vilfil

I LOVE my Monster Pro Beats, the sound is fantastic but they are overpriced and I kind wished I could take them back because... they put a lot of pressure on my head, around the ears and it gives me a headache if I use them for too long... But the sound is sometimes worth it!

I bought these a few days ago, and i love them. the only problem was that they were a little expensive, but it was well worth it. i was on a plane today and i had the headphones on the whole time, and my ears started hurting from the headphones, but i assume that they will need to be broken in. Also, i broke the cable today after having them for a few days, because my computer fell on the headphone jack. If you buy these, get an extra cable off of the monster website or ebay. really good headphones!

These headphones are absolutely amazing. The sound emitted is of professional dj or producer quality. It brings out every piece of any track and brings forth the vocals in ways that no other headphones can. When you put these headphones on and start to play your favorite songs you will realize you have never truely heard music until that moment.
