I know they do that to reduce the weight, but there are many headphones which are light and feel premium. Moreover, these headphones sound exactly like the cheaper studio buds or beats fit pro. If you don't have any other beats products, or have other beats products and love them, these are for you. Otherwise, you're better off researching a different pair of headphones.
