So these look cool and have great sound, but after getting the bose these are 2nd grade. The bose sound quality is much better and much lighter but the wireless is a nice option.

The Best Bang for your $

I had a pair of Beats Studios made by Monster. One issue was the noise leak at high volumes. Everyone near you could hear your music. I remember a flight Attendant asking me to turn down my music.
Beats by Dr. Dre - Beats Studio Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones do a much better job. You can go about 75% volume without noise leak.
After have listened/owned the head phones below. The Beats have OK noise cancellation. Are by far the loudest, good build quality. Update-able firmware and for only $249....the best bang for your buck.
Comparing them to?
*Muzik One
*Bose Q35
*Sony - 1000X Wireless Noise Cancelling
Muzik One - Lack of android support. Has interchangeable ear cup sizes for 'on ear' and 'around ear'. The around ear cup fit on my ear. Apparently they used xtra small ear models to design these . . No noise isolation as claimed. I could hear everything around me until 50% volume.
Bose QC 35. Awesome headphones. Great noise cancellation
*Sony - 1000X Wireless Noise Cancelling - Better than the Bose! Noise cancellation was top. @ $399 the most expensive. The flaw? You need to use a Sony device that supports Hi-Res audio - IE Sony X smartphones to make these headphones come to life.

Wow. Absolutely wow. These are a phenomenal pair of headphones. You get crystal clear sound, and with juuuuuuuuuust enough bass to get your head bobbin. I upgraded from the Bose QC15, way more clear music. Super comfortable, I've been listening to music on them for about 2 hours, and haven't had to adjust them once. Perfect set of headphones.

Great for Team Travel Bus Rides

These Beats are great!!! For they are made for.
First, let me just say thank you for making them affordable because without a sale and a price match I would have never gotten a pair. Black Matte was the color I chose after returning a sky pair to another online/tv purchase site because they were just too expensive for my budget, even on easy pay. The sound is great for listening to music or watching videos on my macbook pro on the long bus ride with college baseball and softball teams. Without theses headphones and the noise canceling I would never sleep on those busses.
My only complaint is, (reason for 4 stars) there is no power brick/adaptor for the headphones. If apple is going to make these they should at least come with a charging brick like everything else they make. I am not sure if I need a small cube like the one for an iPhone or a larger one like the one for an iPad to change the headphones. And nowhere in the picture instructions does it say what you will need to charge the, but it does say charge me before initial use. Ok fine but with what? You may want to remove USB power adapter from the description also. Since it only comes with the cord and not the brick. Oh and there is no cleaning cloth either. So take that out too.
Other than that these work great and have good range for listening pleasure. People will have their preference for headphones and these are a little pricey (on sale still so take advantage) but these are great and they look great even on a girls head. I sleep very well on that bus with these on. You will not be disappointed either.

The Beats Studio Wireless Gold is wonderful because it provides a full sounding headphone experience with just enough bass to satisfy. The colors available for this headphone make carrying these headphones more fun. The Apple Music service is a perfect match for these phones.

Good but a few flaws

Very high quality fit and finish. Great Sound quality. I purchased these because I wanted plug-in studio quality to do some sound editing but also to have them when I travel on plane. I really like them but there are a few flaws that annoy me that you might want to be aware of:
- you can not use these as plug-ins, unless they are charged. This seems rather ridiculous to me in that if you are hard wiring to the drivers, why do you need ANR (ambient noise reduction) in a quiet environment which is the only reason I can think that the phones need power.
- there is no auto-power off on these phones. That means that if you forget to turn off the power button (kinda annoying that you have to wait a few second depressed to turn off) that they will drain just sitting there not used. - This is very annoying obviously and they should be smarter about it.
Taking them out of the box and unwrapping the audio jack, the little control box that is attached to the cord, its housing separated immediately (A poorly design mechanical housing with snaps features that broke too easily.)
- There is no variable control for the ANS (ambient noise reduction) - that is the ability to mix ambient external noise with active music.
- Apart from these shortcoming, I do like the phones. If anyone knows a workaround to them not having auto-off and power drain - please correct me.

I own the wired pair and now the wireless and I am giving the wired away as a gift. The sound quality and over flexibility you have with these are outrageous! On the plane, walking around with no pain in the a** wires is priceless. Worth every penny and as usual, the best price at Best Buy!

These things are the best by far, i have had two others, but was passed down till these wireless models went on sale. The battery life is good, and you also can use as a corded option for none wireless devices as well as wireless, and the noise cancellation works well to.

Great Overall Headphone for Average Consumer

Note I'm NO audiophile
Yes, I know beats is not the best sounding headphones. But to the average person they're great and "fun" sounding. You can really enjoy music with these as flat sounding headphones may be a bit dull sounding. Most people like bass, and these have a decent amount. More than the average headphone but not as much as you think. Overall I bough these for school as the ease of connecting them to my MacBook will be easy. Honestly you just turn them on and they're connected (after your first connection with the device.) However the ANC is okay. I tested some bose QC35s in store and they canceled the noise much better than the beats. But would it be worth spending an extra $150? In my opinion no, but it depends on what your preference is. Go with beats if you enjoy ease of use and "fun" sounding headphones. If you're more picky about sound quality, bose are for you.
So, how do an almost 4 year old beats compare to a relatively new beats solo 3? Well pretty well! The beats studio 2.0 wireless is much clearer and overall better in all aspects. Compared to the solo 2 wireless (which is the same sound and build as solo3) it really is worth purchasing over the solo 3's. Now, I have tried also the Sony Xb950bt and skullcandy crushers. The headband on both are a bit more plush than the studios headband. The earcups on the skullcandy are relatively the same as the beats. However, the Sony xb950bt were a decent amount more comfortable. So all of these being in the same price range, I would choose beats for overall the best whole package. I would choose the skullcandy for ease of use and the bass slider. And I would choose the sony's for comfort and sound quality. But beats has decent everything, so that's why I chose them. I also was interested in the V-Moda m100s but I got these $70 cheaper with Bluetooth so I'm good.
NOTE: These headphones do not come with the power brick and extra cable with no mic, but now come with 3 months of free Apple Music. It's includes the free music, hard shell case, headphones (of course), a micro USB, and finally a cord with built in mic and play pause and volume control. You CANNOT use these without battery, even with the cable! But a cool feature with the cable plugged in is you can push the beats logo on the left ear up and it will mute everything (even ANC) for as long as you hold it. But it will not pause the song, just mute it so it will continue to play. On the left side of the earcups in Bluetooth mode is volume up and down and play pause. It is well hidden in the design of the headphones. They have two microphones in the headphones for ANC. It is believed that the ANC is used in ties with beats acoustic engine in the headphones.
EXTRA NOTE: With me, my right ear is VERY sensitive to the ANC. I can hear my pulse and if I move my head even slightly, it makes this weird noise that sounds like metal wires being plucked. Weird I guess, it happens on both sides on the headphones when I switch it around. Only my right ear. Hmm. I also tried the in store display and this didn't happen. But it also seemed they somehow activated the extra noise cancellation to play with music. (There is a mode for just noise cancellation that is much better but cannot play music using it) You hold the B logo first, then power button until it turns on. It works pretty well. But my biggest gripe is I cannot turn of the ANC. Why you do dis to me. (It's also a problem in bose so :| )
CONCLUSON: It is a pretty good overall headphone. Not sure how the earcups will hold up with use. Hope they last for at least 1 but if not I'll have to pay $200 for them to fix it or get a new set of headphones (which is how much they cost right now!) Ridiculous how they charge $200 for replacing $10 ear pads! Oh well,
Overall great price, as I got them for $180 on sale so I'm content with my purchase! (Ps I got titanium since it's the best Anti-fingerprint color)

Pairing Issues

Received a pair from my wife for Christmas. While the sound was great, it was a constant problem getting them to pair to my MacBook. When they did pair, they would not stay paired.
Pairing to my iPhone was not a problem. A review of comments on different sites showed this is a known issue with the Studio 2 headphones.
Returned them today. I will stick with my Bose headphones, they have given me flawless performance to date.

Great sound, good style, plenty of battery life. The noise-cancelling is enough to dampen, but not block out most background noise. There is an option to activate noise cancelling without audio, which is nice for working/studying. The bluetooth mic works very well.

These headphones have great sound, but they become very uncomfortable after about 30 mins of use. I had to take a break because my ears would become warm and start to hurt. Like I said before they have great sound, but If I am going to spend this much on headphones, I want to be able to wear them without them becoming uncomfortable on my ears.
