It works through walls and I can listen in most places on the first floor of the house when my phone is upstairs. The only negative is that they are not very comfortable. They are extremely tight on my head. I was looking at the Bose first, which were more expensive but are rated as the most comfortable. I wish I had spent the extra money and bought them instead.
