Ultimately i figured they were about the same and opted for these due to price. I travel with them for work and on a plane or in the airport, the noise canceling is amazing. if you just turn it off and then back on you understand the big pricetag. I didn't have any experience with the earlier versions to tell you if it's worth an upgrade, but i'm happy with the purchase.

I took them with me to Chicago and just could not put them down. I used them for answering phone calls as well as listening to music on my phone. You all should get yourself a pair. However the aesthetic/visual appearance of the headphones always lures me into buying them, because there's just something about how they look. This specific colorway knocks it out of the park! They are more beautiful in person, and mny people have already commented on their appearance, also asking where I got them.
