I like the live version of this movie. It is a movie for the whole family. I love Disney movies. This was a great to a little girl.

I like how Disney is being my childhood favorite movies to live action. Belle and the Beast will always be one of my favorite couple.

Ok when I watch films I do so on a 180" movie theater screen with full 7.1 surround sound and the Buttkicker transducer system. This is not to Boast but to give an idea of the clarity that I rate both 4k and 1080p films. 1st off regardless if you are huge into 4k or still collect Blu-ray; I will add that with today's (Oppo) upscaling technology along with upscaling technology on theater projectors that the difference between Blu-ray & 4k is minimal. I will say that going over 180" that you will likely see a difference and recommend 4k for 150"+ screens. I found the film to be exactly like the original animated version. I loved it. Picture & sound quality were fantastic! Highly recommend buying!

Will never live up to the cartoon version, but does a good job in and of itself. Emma makes a great Belle... characters are funny.

I was not fully vested in this remake of the Disney Beauty and the Beast. I did like some aspect of it and other not so much.

This version is not animated so it was a real challenge with great results. As a Disney fan, You’ll love this version as well.

I was a bit skeptical of this remake, as I am with every one. It felt like the cartoon, well it stayed true and was satisfying.

I saw this is theaters but it was just as magical at home! It truly was the animated film "come to life." Emma is great, of course, and Josh brings the laughter in all his movies but I was so surprised by Luke Evans! I didn't know his career really began on the stage. His portrayal of Gaston was spot on..I mean, he WAS Gaston. There are a few new scenes and songs but all the reasons you loved the animated film are still there. You won't be disappointed! I have only bought steelbooks for a few Marvel films (because they were just that awesome) and the same goes for this one, I just couldn't pass it up. I also like that there is artwork on the inside covers as well.

Puns aside, this latest rendition of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is fine fun and exceptional viewing. The movie's sets are spot on, provincial when they need to be and lush at other times. The addition of some additional background information about the characters as part of the storyline is a real treat. Hadn't you always kind of wondered how a huge castle could exist nearby without the people in town knowing about it? Where did the magically-changed castle staff live and why isn't anyone looking for them? The answers to these questions, and many more, are found within the production. Sit back, suspend disbelief and enjoy the journey of Belle and her Beast.

I've always been a big fan of the original animated Beauty and the Beast and have been enjoying the previous live action remakes that Disney has been producing, so I was very interested in seeing this one. I know that some people have been complaining that it doesn't follow the animated movie exactly but that is what I enjoyed about it the most. I like that although the main storyline is the same, this movie can stand on it's own with new songs and new scenes. The actors are fantastic and the music is great as always. Even my husband, who can't stand musicals, was laughing and enjoying himself while we watched it. That alone means 5 stars to me!

25 yrs ago my wife and our 3 yr old daughter went to their first movie together at the theater. It was the original animated beauty and the beast. Lat year when the 25th anniversary edition came out, i bought it for them so they could see it together again-- this time with the addition of our first grandson (only a few months old).. Unfortunately they were not able to see it together when it was in the theater, but they loaded the Blue-Ray and their reaction was magical. Disney has brought the magic back again with this live action version, and thanks to the advances in CGI, the beast looks like a beast. highly recommend seeing it!!

Beautifully made movie. Love watching Emma Watson and the overall cast. Wonderful acting. Worth watching

I’m mixed on the live-action remakes because on one hand, it introduces future generations to the classic Disney retelling of “Beauty and the Beast” but on the other hand, previous generations will always compare it to the original. Fair or not, the changes/additions will always seem out of place even for good added songs like “Days in the Sun”. I guess the biggest hurdle I couldn’t get past was Emma Thompson’s uneven singing. It’s serviceable but where it was the highlight in the previous version, it is rather flat. She does bring the droves of fans who grow up to Harry Potter and Hermione so it’s nice for them. The rest of the cast works well except maybe Lumiere and Maurice. All in all, it was a decent enough remake. And this 4K set was enough for me to add it as a complement to the original animated movie.

Made me feel like a kid again. New sound Belle sings about parents is beautiful. Gaston well cast.

Chalk up another one for Emma! Clearly the best rendition of Beauty and the Beast to date! And she can sing! I've always been a fan since her character told Ron Wesley..."and you are? Pleasure" ! And this one (and every other role up to now) just shows how much of a star she is! Congratulations Emma! I'd wish you good luck in the future, but you are not gonna need it! God bless darlin'! I don't wish to diminish the rest of the cast's performance as they were all excellent and all contributed as a team in this epic endeavour. Get this movie...watch it with the kiddies! Just wish it was available in 4k...

Have been disappointed with a lot of things Disney has put out recently. This was done very well.

Great movie but possibly not the best choice for younger children, as it was over two hours long.

This version of the story is a nice adaptation of the animated film. It is impossible to replicate a masterpiece, but this is as nice as the Broadway musical. I have always felt everything about the animated version was near perfection. Even now, the voice talent of the original cannot be matched and that cast sounds much more polished and rich sounding. Having said that, as a live action version, I am very satisfied with the adaptation. The new musical numbers add elements to the characters that make sense and add to the story. Choreography, costuming and set design are outstanding. Well done!

Although I enjoyed the cartoon version better. This movie wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Yes I understand what a lot of the critics are saying, but just think on what I have to say, and hopefully you will agree too. I grew up with the original version and feel it is a timeless classic masterpiece that will last for many many years to come. This movie is for this generation and beyond. It will be a timeless masterpiece for them and their children. It is a great movie from beginning to end. You will enjoy it. Bravo to everyone involved in the making of this movie. Thank you!!! :)
