I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect with the movie. I had seen the cartoon before and did enjoy it very much. Sometimes the transition from cartoon to real movie loses something. I don't think there were any significant changes. I found myself pleasantly surprised with the movie and the contents. I bought it as a gift and the recipient enjoyed it as well.

I'm not reviewing the movie because yes that one is great, but I am reviewing this edition. I love steelbook edition because not only the cases are more durable but also they are gorgeous to display. The extra features are fantastic and wit this edition you also get iTunes digital copy and of course Disney movies anywhere so you can't go wrong with this edition

I collect steel books, yet it looks like Best Buy has finally caught on and is now making these cases for every movie. Too bad, because it takes away from their collectibility. Art on case is beautiful. The movie was okay in parts and excellent in others. Won't spoil it for you and each of us have different expectations. Still recommend the case and movie. Cheers.

Great for all ages. I was, as a lot of parents might be, hesitant about watching this with our 3 year old. It looked a little "dark" from some of the previews. She loved it and sang along and danced in front of the tv all the way through. It actually felt like the dark moments were less than the typical Disney moment. Plus it's a great remake for the adults.

I know many people are divided about the movie itself. Personally I really liked it, especially the added backstory and character development. And I enjoyed all 3 songs they added. But the steelbook case is absolutely stunning. While the interior is good (not my favorite but solid), the front and back are gorgeous. One of my favorite Disney steelbooks thus far!

I was skeptical about a live action version given the amount of cgi that it would have to involve. But hey, the original was totally animated so.... I really liked it. The acting was great. Garson comes across as even more a jerk in this version whereas I always saw him as more comical in the animated. Overall a great flick. The steelbook is beautiful as well.

Hard to call this a live-action film when it seems the bulk of it is still animated. It's as if we've gone way, way back to Walt Disney's roots when he placed the live-action "Alice" inside a cartoon film. My adult girls LOVE this movie (including *groan* the sing-along version included on the disc with song subtitles). I have to admit, I enjoyed it as well.

Steelbooks are an interesting idea. They provide a slightly different packaging that may cost a bit more than the same product standard packaging. For some folks this isn't a worthwhile since the product is the same, but for others like myself, it is usually worth the extra cost. In this case it is. Same great movie but in a very attractive steelbook.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty and strength of this movie. It's been updated to show a strong female lead which I like for my grandchildren. Women should no longer be portrayed as the weakling since that was never correct in the first place. Beautiful costumes, scenery, and love the music. Now my grandchildren are learning the songs and singing along.

The DVD plays great on my bluray player, car dvd player, and Im sure it would work fine with any other player. Also it's Beauty and the Beast, so expect the same as the cartoon, but with real people. If you haven't seen the cartoon, then expect a kind of weird love story. Girls and women love it, kids not so much, boys and men expect a love story. Good Luck!

I've seen the animated version, the stage version, and now the movie version. I loved them all, but there seems to be something missing in the movie version. I think it's the movie version of Gaston. He isn't quite the HUGE, attention demanding, self-involved character that I saw in the cartoon or play. Still, excellent movie and we'll deserving of 5 stars.

Beauty and the Beast Steelbook is one of the best looking Steelbooks I own. The cover is a clean and glossy finish and really pops. The movie is great. A true adaptation of the original cartoon with some added songs and details from the Broadway show. Packed with a superstar cast and gorgeous visuals Beauty and the Beast is a must own for any movie fan.

Got this as a gift for my girlfriend, she loves the movie. The fact that it came with the digital version really made it a great deal. So she can take it with her wherever she goes! Definitely worth the price compared to other retailers that were selling the same exact version.

I love this movie. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not overdone like a cartoon. Instead, the characters were much more convincingly real. The candlestick and clock were still like a candlestick and clock that heped Belle fall in love with the beast. Gaston was funny and full of himself. And Josh Gad was dantastic as LeFou. Great movie for everyone.

Disney always makes a nice family enjoyable movie, that no matter what your age you will enjoy it. I have the animation version, however seeing the story come to life is fantastic. However I do not believe that very young children should see this film. I would rate it for twelve years and up. Beauty and the Beast is a must have for your Disney collection

I wasn't sure what to expect going in and if it would just be a re-tread of all the same scenes and songs but in live action. However, the movie varies some things and fleshes out some backstory not present in the original animated movie. Also, it adds in a couple more songs which are worthy additions to the movie soundtrack. Highly recommended.

To start off this is a musical. I hate musicals. I watched this because the wife wanted to see it with me. I loved the movie. The adaptation was excellent. The scenery was very colorful. Acting was great along with the cast. The singing was actually quit enjoyable. I have watched it twice since seeing it in the theatre. Highly recommend to all to watch.

As the title says, this movie really sticks to the cartoon everyone grew up loving. There are a few minor differences, but overall you will hardly be able to notice them. And this movie is incredibly. Emma Watson's performance is great, and so is everyone else. From Dan Stevens to Ian McKellen to Josh Gad. Just a phenomenal cast and performances by all.

Amazing remake. I remember watching the original movie as a kid.. I thought it was going to be really cheesy with a CGI Beast but it really wasn't that bad and the music, story, graphics and character actors all make up for it, and it was cool how they also added to the story a little to fill in gaps that weren't addressed in the cartoon version.

I enjoyed this adaptation of the classic fairy tale. There were even a few elements from the original Grimm's that were not in the Disney animated version. Highly recommend. Could live without the extended singing Gaston scene. But otherwise excellent. Also was disappointed in my Best Buy check out experience. When I mentioned that the movie was less expensive the day before I had hoped the clerk would honor the price. She just smiled and shrugged. Then after I bought the movie I found it on amazon for the price Best Buy had it the day before. Highly disappointed in the service and value of my purchase from the store.
